Absolutely delighted to find such a lovely, well run hotel in East London. In all my travels I have never had fresh milk placed in a creamer in the mini fridge but it is standard practice here! The coffee in the room was not instant, it was fresh ground and used a french press. The breakfast buffet was very well thought out and even had several types of raisins, pumpkin seeds, and various types of yogurt. The omelettes were made to order and looked great. The muffins and fresh baked croissants were excellent. Most of all the architecture and landscaping is brillant. To take an old quarry and make it into a bird sanctuary, hotel, and housing area takes imagination and determination. I wish more quarries did something similar. We especially loved watching the yellow weaver birds make their nests in the morning while we ate breakfast in the glasshouse overlooking the lake and the bird island. Staff were all very attentive, friendly, kind and helpful. We felt very secure in the hotel. We ordered some food from uber eats for dinner so we could rest and enjoy the atmosphere of Quarry Lake Inn. Bravo to the architects and landscapers!
