I'm not an experienced oyster eater but the oysters seemed nice. I did not like the vinegerett served and the oysters tasted better with lime. The squash flower fritter taco was nice. The fish tacos come on a bed of raw cabbage that I did not like as much. The fish and chips were good. The fries were crispy and good. Star item were the nachos. We ordered it without the pork as we had a vegetarian who we were sharing it with. It was delicious can came with a side of sour cream, smashed avo and some sort of tangy relish. Lastly I should add that the wait staff was fabulous and service was definitely above average. 15% holiday surcharge pinches however considering not many establishments were operational it kinda seems ok to pay this on boxing day.

I had a fantastic dinner at Quarter Deck. The service was excellent, and the staff were attentive & friendly. I ordered the swordfish and a side of sourdough bread. While the swordfish was delicious, the bread was the absolute standout. It came perfectly toasted with just the right amount of olive oil and salt. The crust was beautifully crisp and light, while the inside was soft, chewy, and had that perfect texture you just want to savour. I loved it so much I ordered an extra piece. Thank you to the team for the great service and genuinely good food.

Quarterdeck in Narooma was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. The fish burger was genuinely the freshest and best I have ever had in my life – perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and clearly made with top-quality local seafood. The traditional fish and chips were also spot on: crisp, light batter, beautiful fish, and done exactly how they should be. Our daughter had the wings, and she is a notoriously picky eater, so the fact she couldn’t stop talking about how good they were says everything. It’s rare to find a place that impresses both adults and kids so completely. Add to that the fantastic cocktails, the relaxed waterfront atmosphere, and friendly, professional service, and it makes for a truly memorable dining experience. Quarterdeck isn’t just a good restaurant for Narooma – it’s the kind of place you’d happily seek out in any major city. We’ll be back without hesitation.

Another lovely dining experience at The Quarterdeck. We made a reservation online for three people for lunch on the first Saturday in September. The staff looked after us again and allocated us to one of the tables by the back window. As an aside, it is nicer dining at The Quarterdeck outside of the main tourist season because the restaurant is not as busy so we are not rushing to get through our lunch to clear the table for the next sitting. On that Saturday we enjoyed the relaxed dining. We started with a dozen natural oysters, which were fresh from Wagonga Inlet, in fact from Oysters Farmers Daughter. We partnered those with an order of battered fish tacos that were also quite nice. For mains, all three of us went with the mussels. The mussels were sourced from South Australia and cooked in a delicious broth - I always take the option to add extra sourdough bread to dip into the broth. We finished with coffee and the beignets, which were served with dipping caramel and vanilla ice cream, and a chocolate sundae. Very decadent. I believe that the restaurant was an old boat shed so it sits on stilts above the sand flats and on a rising tide you can hear the water lapping below the floor boards. It had large glass windows on two sides that provided wonderful views of the beautiful Wagonga Inlet. At the end of the meal we watched Soldier Crabs, just below the window, running across the sand. The staff were also happy for people to access the wharf area out the back, so a great way to occupy children while waiting between courses, but best for adults to go with them. The Quarterdeck was a lovely venue to enjoy delicious food as well as to watch the tides change on Wagonga Inlet. I would add that it is best to make a reservation, especially in the busier months

Birthday celebration week - my partner brought me to this beautiful spot in Narooma...best scallops, oysters, chimmichurri steak and Beignets I've had in Australia so far - highly recommend coming here 😍🩵💯🍤🦪 Had a visit from a stingray too...only in Australia lol. Service was pretty damn good too 🫶

The service was extremely bad, or rather, there was no service at all. My daughter and I waited for half an hour for the dessert and when we went to inquire, the waitress showed no apology and even asked us to pay again without checking. When the dishes were served, the waitress always had cold faces and said nothing, as if we had done something wrong. When we left, the waitress looked at my eyes and quickly turned her face away, as if avoiding the virus. To be honest, I have been traveling to many places in AUS, and this is the worst restaurant I have ever been to! If anyone wants to has a bad time, then go here

Quarterdeck is amazing. Very good food. The donuts for dessert were divine. Best Nachos I've ever had. Great service too

The food, service and the vibe here is amazing! The food was pretty good although the price was a little higher than Sydney CBD. Service was good, they continuously refill our tap water whenever the glass is empty. The attendant also asked us if everything was alright although they were pretty busy. The view was stunning as well especially when come during sunset hour. Worth to come whenever lay over in Narooma.

Absolutely great. Don't tell anyone. SA deep fried white bait looking west over the inlet. Bliss!! Eclectic but fantastic. We will be back with friends. Tied our boat up on the jetty at the front. What more could you WANT !

Dropped in there for lunch after a short bike ride along the coastal bike tracks. The place was full I got a table in the corner overlooking the deck. The staff were friendly and courteous. The meal was quite nice I had a pulled pork burger and fries which was nice. They specialize in seafood and some of the other patrons dishes looked very nice. The coffee was nice also.

This place has a great view (you are literally on the water here), an amusing Gilligan's island theme, attentive service and ok food. We had French toast and eggs (the FT was ridiculously thick - making it essentially just hot bread in the center) - and both meals were on the small side. The pancakes I saw pass by on their way to another table looked really good and were also a good value. And goodonthem for having free range eggs.

The Quarterdeck is by far my favourite spot for breakfast or a light lunch when I'm out in Narooma. It offers a reasonable range of dishes in a very picturesque location. It sits out over the inlet so has great water views. My personal favourite dishes are the pancakes or the eggs Benedict, but there are plenty of other options, including by the looks some gluten free. Basically, it's reasonable meals in a fantastic location with good service.
