Quartermain House Bed & Breakfast

The Quartermain is a truly lovely B and B and the host Debbra is so thoughtful, attentive, and welcoming. She pays attention to every detail that could your stay better. ||The Inn is full of historical touches and beautiful antiques. The breakfast is wonderful and set in a dining room that might have been in a Jane Austen novel. ||The location is so convenient and my husband found it very enjoyable for biking around Fredericton.

Wonderful experience. The home is gorgeous and sparkling clean. The Parlor and Library are comfortable for public use. Stairs are not overly steep. We stayed in the McMaster bedroom that was very spacious with lots of closet space and a mini-fridge. The bath was down the hall but private. And what a bath! Infloor heat, clawfoot tub, separate shower, 3 vanity sinks. So large! Breakfast was a real treat every day with 3 courses and so much attention to detail for our gluten free needs. very short walk to downtown.||Debra is a kind, warm and gracious host. Highly recommend.

We stayed for one night in September. The house was absolutely gorgeous and had so much history to it. Our room was nicely decorated with an amazing ensuite bathroom- all the luxuries of home and more. Being on one of the main roads, we were able to enjoy a walk across the river on the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge to enjoy dinner and trails. Debra our host was helpful both during our stay and prior to our stay. She shared a lot of information (restaurants, sights...) with us. Breakfast was amazing and homemade consisting of fresh fruit, a fruit cobler, omlettes, toast, coffee, tea and juice. We look forward to being able to stay again the next time we are in Fredericton.

A beautiful and historical house, bits of history in every room and corner, a cat named Reign of Rory, a replica of the house in the garden, quiet places to relax and meditate, a luxurious room and bathroom, wonderful breakfasts and an amazing host (Debra Quartermain). What more could one ask for a stay in Fredericton, New Brunswick? ||We had such a wonderful time time at Quartermain House. I had initially booked one night at Quartermain House but then changed it to two nights. I liked that we could book our stay in a more traditional fashion (email, phone) as it added a personal touch. Debra greeted us as soon as we arrived and took us around the house and explained a little bit of its history. The house is simply full of history in every piece of furniture, pictures, books, lighting fixture, along with little objects that took you back through time. I could have spent hours in the various rooms.||The room that we got, the Quartermain Quarters, along with the bathroom, was luxurious and comfortable and had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay and good night's sleep (including some Ganong Pepts chocolates courtesy of Debra). Breakfast was delicious and artfully presented. Debra herself was very sociable and welcoming, and my husband and I liked her immediately. ||Another great thing about Quartermain House is that it is literally steps from the St. John River and a trail system that took you to many places around the city. Downtown Fredericton is only about 15 to 20 minutes away by foot and there is no need to take the car into the core area. Fredericton itself has so many historical buildings to explore including the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick.||My husband and I lived in Fredericton a few decades back and it was nice that we could take our time to go around and see how the city had changed. Overall, it was a very nice stay. We very much appreciate the kindness and hospitality of our host, Debra, and the next time we're in Fredericton, we will book our stay at Quartermain House again.

Amazing! This is a beautiful house! Debra is a wonderful host who is warm and welcoming. She has a keen eye and an attention to detail that is reflected in this historical home. Her breakfasts are delicious! If I could rate our stay higher than 5 stars, I would! An excellent place to stay!!

Absolutely loved our stay when we visited Fredericton. The host is the most welcoming and super accommodating person I have ever had the pleasure to meet. We are so looking forward to returning to visit Fredericton and can't wait to stay here again.

We LOVED our stay at Quatermain House. Debra is an amazing host. Perfect for walking to restaurants. Room was confortable and well appointed. The highlight was the breakfast. We will definetly be back! Thanks Debra for a great stay!

It has been several years that we stay at the Quartermain house on our way to PEI. It is a beautiful place, decorated with great charm and taste! The host makes the stay a truly special experience! We are definitely coming back next year!
