Quayside Hotel

hotel is very conveniently located near the famous Jonker Street. love the patio which we can make use of to chill and enjoy the view of the malacca river! can see that the hotel has been around for some time, but cleanliness wise is still acceptable. the room also comes with a complimentary hearty breakfast which we enjoyed. thanks for the amazing stay!

Best hotel in Melaka.. close to all places.. in front of the hotel there is a night marketKindly Reminder..1) if you drive a car please come before 4.30pm because the road in front of the hotel is closed from 5pm to 3am2) there is no free parking available. you can park in the public parking next to the police station (in front of the hotel). normal price RM5 per entry and public holiday or school holiday price RM10 per entry

I was really disappointed that I couldn't enjoy the river view from my room because there were always crowds lining up right in front of it to buy cruise tickets. It felt like having no privacy at all, which was not what I expected from a hotel stay. The hotel also does not provide parking, which was quite inconvenient. We had to find parking elsewhere, which was troublesome, especially during peak hours. It would be much better if the hotel offered designated parking for guests. 0.5 star only.

Two things Quayside gets 10/10 and surprisingly the booking comes with complimentary nonya breakfast. From here everything goes downhill (1) Room wasn't cooled down on a hot hot day (2) AC not sized to capacity to cool the larger room (3) deco barest of the bare (4) only allowed one door key and it is used to turn ON electricity! Imagine on a hot hot day the AC is shut down in the day when we hit the street!? Overall this perfectly located hotel could have upgraded itself to offer better values. First and last until they upgrade. PS: it's not a cheap price hotel...

To reach the hotel is nightmare if you use Waze navigatiin, and going to the hotel during weekend, and reachinr hotel after 5pm. I need to repeat 3 times, please use Google Map (x3). If you late then you only can park the car very far from the hotel as the road has been blocked for night market. Our room is facing city side with night market besides the hotel... No wonder room is still available for booking although we booked it very late. You will not be able to sleep early if you are early sleeper. Asking for additional room card but the receptionist refused to provide. I don't know why? I had gathering with my primary schoolmates and my family would have their own jalan2 separately therefore two access cards would be convenient for us. Anyway, the high stractegic hotel location is very convenient to access to Red House, Jonker Street, River Cruise, Farmosa and so on. This is the only point to change negative to positive.

I gave two stars for their strategic location and attentive staff. This hotel used to be the best hotel in Malacca but not after today. Firstly, they used to provide free parking for in house guest and now, we have to pay RM10 per day for the parking. Secondly, the main road to this hotel is closed for night market and pop up stalls. It is inconvenient for guest to reach this hotel. Besides, I took the room facing the city view and the nuisance cause by the night market and stalls had totally spoil my day. From 6pm until 1pm. My family couldn't sleep because of the noise disturbance. I seriously thought that the hotel had to do something with it. The noise is unbearable. But thanks for preparing Malaysian style breakfast for their guest. Good selection and great effort.

The only good thing is the view. The rest, NO PARKING, pay outside parking (rm20), SLEEP DISTURBANCE, the room is 100% not sound proof, you can hear everything including people steps. the floor is floorwood, noise from the housekeeping activity in the morning and outside.

Good location, walking distance to Jonker street night market and Mahkota Parade shopping center.Our room facing the river, beautiful lighting around the river during night time. This was our 4 times stayed in this hotel.
