What To Do in Polanco, Mexico City: Our Guide | Condé Nast Traveler

"Qué Bol specializes in artisanal, handmade chocolates made with only Mexican ingredients. Chocolate was first domesticated in Mesoamerica so it's only right that Mexican chocolate should taste this good. Purchase one of every truffle so you can taste a full selection of what's on offer. There are so many interesting flavors, why limit yourself?" - Susannah Rigg, Scarlett Lindeman

Full disclosure, I didn’t actually try a chocolate from here but only because there were only like 6 flavors available and the chocolate cases were practically barren. There was very little to no inventory of anything in the shop. There were two employees in the shop when we arrived but no one offered to help us or answer any questions. It was around 4pm on a Thursday and the hours said open until 8 so I am unsure if they were sold out for the day or that is what it is always like. We did try a popsicle and it was super mid.

I really enjoyed the chocolates at Que Bo! My choices all worked together well and complimented one another. I really enjoyed the interesting and creative combos of flavors and the presentation. The service was also excellent. The shop is small and unassuming, and has a simple elegance. While these chocolates are a bit pricey in terms of general costs in Mexico, the area is quite high-end so I factored that into the equation of my rating. Though Google only allows us to give whole numeral ratings, I’d give Que Bo! 4.5/5 stars.

Some of the flavors were very interesting but tasted artificial. The skull chocolate was the best one! Also, the customer service experience could have been a little better (January 18, 2022).

I just purchased 20 boxes of Que Bo chocolates for gift, it seems like something different from normal chocolate. Can be something can representative for Mexico. But below you can see what i experienced 1. Is not worth spending this much of this chocolate because of worst attention ever. 2. Even if you purchased 1 or 20 boxes you have to buy a bag to carry. 3. Before visiting, i informed that I'll be purchsing 20 boxes and i'll be choosing a flavor that I want. 4. When i arrived Que Bo, person who works there already maded 20 boxes without asking customer and handed me over. 5. Also receipt was printed without considering customer's taste. 6. Will you pay 700 pesos for 20 pieces of chocolate without choosing flavors that you like? 7. If you want to buy more than 10 boxes, bring your eco bag with you. they don't have bag to put more than 10 boxes. i had to carry 20 boxes just like a foto. If you are looking for some special meaningful gift, i'll never buy from here again. Is not worth spending this much, level of attention and service was worst.

Foods are just ok but the staffs there are so rude and not helpful at all. He ruined my mood. Definitely don’t go if you wanna have a pleasant and nice trip!

This store is a delight and great for gifts if you wanna take things home. I got a Hugh’s block for baking and snacking plus the cute flavored bon bons to take out at parties and share with guests to delight their senses

Amazing one of a kind chocolate shop located in the heart of Polanco. The shop is small but displays all of their chocolates in stock with a couple small tables to grab a drink and enjoy your chocolates. The staff is very friendly and helped us choose some delicious chocolates. If you have to get anything, I would recommend getting one of the chocolate truffles. They are amazingly rich and full of flavor. They offer various sizes of gift boxes which are the perfect souvenirs to bring home to friends and family.

A terrific shop with exquisite chocolates in distinctive flavors ranging from guava, passionfruit, chai, mango & chamoy, and mezcal & fruits. The staff was also super helpful and patient with my questions since some of the truffles have inscrutable names like ¡Recuérdame! The box packaging is very sturdy and the chocolates made it back safely to NYC in my flight carry on. Slightly amused by reviewers whining about price point… I would be curious to know where else one can find high-end Irish cream chocolate truffles at low-cost in Polanco, or anywhere else in CDMX🥲
