Perfect location for exploring Leeds city centre. The hotel is beautifully old fashioned decorated and the bed was ultra comfy. Room was very spacious, however one of the sockets next to the bed was broken (plug wouldn’t go in). Staff throughout the hotel very friendly also and 24/7 room service available. 4* because your breakfast is extremely bad quality/quantity/price, £22.50 is absurd for below average food and wasn’t even the full spread of what a English breakfast should be. Overall the hotel was good.

Absolutely outstanding treatment from the minute we walked into the hotel. We were coming back after staying before on our wedding night, this hotel never fails to impress, from the luxury of everything to the wonderful staff, nothing is ever too much trouble. Love the photos in the bar of all the celebrity guests. Beautiful food also. The manager Caroline is second to none. Fantastic. We will be back soon. Rachael and Lee

The hotel is a beautiful historic building-an oasis right in the city centre. The Oak Room, where we had our 50yr Reunion, is most impressive. Our wishes to tailor the event to our own requirements, right down to including our own flower arrangements, were welcomed | The dinner itself was good, especially as guests could choose individually from selected menu, at a reasonable price. Breakfast, provided at an additional cost, was served in the Conservatory & was served from fresh ingredients | The bar is only small but manned by a very helpful & friendly barman who arranged for drinks requested in advance to be provided additionally. The house wines were exceptionally good & very reasonably priced. | The period rooms were fabulous-very individual, elegant & spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. All our group’s varied requirements were provided for. Some of us also had the surprise of an upgrade | Throughout, the staff were smiling, friendly, helpful & willing to go the extra mile. Many of our group commented that they’d like to have another reunion there next year. It really is a little gem of a hotel.

Stunning hotel, the staff were amazing, incredibly helpful, friendly rather like a family. Breakfast cooked to order so hot. Loved it, just a pain to get to if you drive.

Absolutely lovely hotel in a great central location in Leeds. The building is very beautiful and the room was very luxurious. Great value. The receptionist Caroline really made our stay, she was so funny and sassy, but also very helpful and efficient.

Less than 5 minutes walk from the railway station. Our standard room was much bigger than I expected and the bed was amazing. Big and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Fabulous hotel. We would definitely return.

Stayed here for a night away in Leeds and was honestly so impressed with this little gem. Really luxurious and well thought out rooms with huge comfy beds and walk in showers. Also very reasonable priced, especially to soulless big brand competitors. Caroline on reception was a hoot and gave excellent service. We’ll definitely return here when next in Leeds.

Yelp
Lovely hotel with loads of complimentary extras: fluffy bathrobe, slippers, 2 half bottles of wine, chocolates, mineral water, free wi-fi etc. On arrival we were given a free upgrade to one of the more deluxe rooms, the concierge brought my bags to the room and showed me how to access the wi-fi, they couldnt have been more helpful. The room was very clean and elegantly decorated, the view wasn't fantastic, however the hotel is situated on a side road so I didn't expect city view anyway. There is a DAB radio and loads of channels on the TV if you feel like relaxing. Would definitely stay again

Yelp
Ah, Quebec's. I've had some great and shocking times here, but I can't help but remember it through rose-tinted glasses. You'll love this place for the luxurious beds, long pile carpets, sweeping open staircase, oak-paneled drawing room complete with honesty-bar, free champagne receptions on Wednesdays the fresh orchid left on your pillow with a hand-written note was also a nice touch. The service, however, was a bit too much like fawlty towers to give it 5 stars. When things were good, it was bliss, however - don't expect the staff to be able to process a refund if they get your booking wrong (I gave up after a year), or to move you if they have a solvent disaster in the restaurant below (was nearly asphyxiated). However, time is a great healer, and now I don't really think about the those things, and just remember the pillows Pluses: Period building, gorgeous fittings, all the trimmings, central. Downsides: Service. Around GBP130/night.

Yelp
I stayed two nights here on my first visit to Leeds a few weeks ago. It is gorgeous! I was so bowled over by the beautiful room I had and the stained glass in reception that I phoned my husband to rave about it. It's a great location, too; I went out walking, and I have a terrible sense of direction, but I could always find my way back, even after a drink or two.

Yelp
I have only stayed in this hotel once and it was the epitome of luxury. I am a huge architecture freak, and loved the building, with its grand entrance and high ceilings. The rooms are exquisite with large, soft beds with high quality duck and downs duvets. There is a tv, arm chairs, a coffee table, a desk and your own private mini bar. I was taken here for my birthday and I absolutely loved it. The hotel bathroom was as big as my bathroom at home and I really enjoyed being able to chill out and relax.

Yelp
We stayed here on a romantic mini-break and the hotel is very impressive, with sweeping stairs, lots of carved oak mouldings, the softest duvets and pillows imaginable and a very comfortable mattress! It's a very luxurious place. However, a few things niggled. Firstly, there were some goodies set out with the information leaflets on the dressing table when we arrived - some sweets, a mini-bottle of wine, two wine glasses. These are not free and actually cost an exhorbitant amount, and yet they are set out so that they appear to be complementary (although we weren't fooled, haha). I thought that was a bit cheeky. Secondly, as we relaxed before going out to dinner, there was a knock at the door and a waitress offered us a bottle of mineral water to buy. I thought this was unnecessary - there was mineral water in the mini-bar and it felt a bit like we were being peddled things! Finally, the next morning we were surprised to find a Daily Mail dangling from our door handle in a neat cloth bag. I asked the receptionist why it was there and she replied Oh, fine, I'll take it off your bill then - we hadn't been asked if we wanted a newspaper, and we'd never have chosen the Mail, so it seemed a bit rich that they were irritated when we asked why it was there! These niggles aside, though, we had a fantastic time. The honesty bar on the 4th floor is beautiful, and the restaurant downstairs (Sous le Nez) looks lovely as well (we didn't manage to get a table, which shows how busy it is!). The hotel is lovely and central, too; there was no parking available so we parked at the Light and it wasn't too far to trek with our overnight bags. I think the room prices are reasonable, too.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel, beautiful architecture. We stayed here on a romantic package & had a suite with a king size bed strwen with rose petals, champagne, chocolates & fancy toiletries in the huge bathroom. We had a separate area with sofas & a tv. Breakfast is served in the room & there is an honesty bar in one of the upstairs rooms.

Yelp
When we finalized our trip, the very first thing I did, was searching for some good hotel deals. I was impressed by the location of the hotel. It was near the market so we could easily roam around in the market for shopping purpose. Moreover the services which were provided by the hotel staff were wonderful. The best thing was the rooms, completely dirt free and comfortable and bathrooms were nice. Overall I was pretty happy and satisfied after staying in a hotel that gave me an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
i think this is probably the best hotel in leeds if your wanting a boutique style hotel the reception is a table next to the staircase with the beautiful glass stained window which is truly gorgeous parkin is available but must be booked when reservation is confirmed or else you would have to park at a garage etc.. 2 min walk from train station lovely french restaurant below but also close to many many more a honesty bar is situated on the 1st floor where u simpily pick a drink and write what you have had in the book to be charged to your roomsome rooms esp on the top floor which are mainly used as singles are tiny and have actic type roof not great if your tall the best suites in my opinion is the sherbert and hugbug suites both containing the sweeties! both are based on 2 levels which spiral staircase leading to the bed humbug suite is the largest on the ground floor but the view is of the road so can be noisy the bon bon suite at the top of the beautiful building is small but very romantic which a nice lighting system all in all fab hotel expensive but for a cheap a suite is a must!
