Queen Anne Hotel

The Queen Anne is in a fantastic location and great neighborhood. Also close to plenty of transport options. The hotel has such character and charm - I loved the feel of it. Afternoon sherry hour is such a nice touch. Breakfast had plenty of options. Late checkout and Luggage storage was available which was handy given we had a late flight. Staff were very friendly.|Would definitely recommend and will return when next in San Fran.

We enjoyed the Queen Anne Hotel. The history, architecture, and antique furnishings add up to a unique lodging experience. This is not a cookie-cutter chain hotel. The service was also excellent -- the staff was helpful with information and willingly met change requests. Yes, they could fluff a few sofa pillows in the upstairs hallways and upgrade the bed linens in the rooms, but we were entirely satisfied with our recent stay.

The Queen Anne Hotel was the most incredible experience. My brother, Joe, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in March 2022. We live in Lake county about 3 hours from San Francisco. He was getting tests every 3 months and radiation treatments. UCSF and Queen Anne offered us a complimentary room for those visits. It made a most difficult time unbelievably happy. We usually went with either his lady friend, Linda, our friend, Debbie, or my husband, Kevin. We were treated like royalty. The rooms were luxurious and so comfortable...it took us back in time to the 19th Century. In the morning we would come down and be treated to an all you can eat breakfast...so delicious. Thank you so much Queen Anne for those wonderful memories with Joe. Sadly Joe passed away June 6, 2023. We are glad that Joe had some joy his last year ...a big part was staying at the Queen Anne. I wish I could give it 10 stars....5 is not enough.

We were delighted to stay at the Queen Anne this last weekend. We were there for a concert at the Fillmore; it was an easy 10 minute walk there. The parking across the street was completely convenient, and offered in/out privileges (though we were happy to just leave our car there). The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. Nice touch that they serve 4 pm cookies and sherry in the lobby. By all means, leave yourself time to get cozy and read in their spacious lobby. Two fireplace areas, and so many comfortable chairs, and interesting antiques to look at. We found a delicious place nearby in Japantown for a ramen dinner. And the breakfast provided made it easy to just stay there for the morning until check out at noon. We hope to plan another SF trip with the Queen Anne as our home base.

Positive: Delightful hotel, great amenities in the room and in the shared spaces. The hotel felt very safe, with locked door and 24-hour staff on-site. Loved the decor and staff was very friendly. I especially loved the coffee set-up in the room, with teacups! Negative: The only thing missing in the room was separate conditioner (conditioning shampoo isnt my favorite). Negative: ""

Great hotel, only had some minor gripes. ### The good: - Front-desk is very helpful and kind - Cookies in the evening, unlimited tea and coffee in common area - Towels smell clean and nice! Not like bleach like in most hotels. Nice touch there. - The property itself is reminiscent of a true Victorian mansion, to the small details. ### The could be improved: - Please add just one more vegetarian friendly option to the breakfast! It would be 100% perfect if there was something like home potatoes/hash browns or at least salad to complement the eggs and toast. Otherwise, good! - One of the chairs in our room had a noticeable stain Overall a great place to stay!

Our Granddaughters from Colorado stayed with us last time. Ages 12 and 15. They loved learning about the history of the building and San Francisco. The first night the younger one asked if there were any ghosts! By the next morning they were all over the place, and loving staying in a piece of history. The staff has akways been very kind, helpful and friendly!

Great place in Victorian style. The room was elegant and spacious. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Awesome living room area with fireplace where guests can hang out and enjoy cookies and sherry in the afternoon. Great locations to explore japatown and easy to visit other locations.
