The Best Places to See the Fourth of July Fireworks at Niagara Falls

"Queen Victoria Park is located right on the waterfront and provides the best view of the illumination of the falls and the fireworks show. As such, it's a very popular fireworks viewpoint, and it can fill up quickly, so plop down on a picnic blanket well before the show and bring some snacks!"

9 of the Best Niagara Falls Viewpoints

"This well-manicured park on the Canadian side offers gorgeous views of Niagara Falls, and exploring the park grounds is a treat on its own, too. Start at Oakes Garden Theatre, the Beaux Arts entryway that debuted with the park in 1937, then stroll through a tea rose garden, rock garden, and lots of groomed flower beds. If you want to catch an evening fireworks show, you can do so from the park as well. The Falls Fireworks Series runs May through October, during the winter holiday season, and on other select holidays throughout the year." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls is a beautiful garden location set among some of the prettiest scenery one is likely to find in Canada. It is swept with beautiful grass gardens that will charm you, nothing really feels out of place. It is the main area for viewing and experiencing Niagara Falls. Spectacular scenic panoramas of the Falls await you every day of the year Laced with lush gardens and winding paths, Queen Victoria Park is the front-row seat to the falls. It’s situated directly across the gorge from the cascades and offers some of the best vantage points to see the American and Canadian Horseshoe falls, and the more than 100 fireworks displays that illuminate the skies above the brink each year. Several popular area attractions, including Journey Behind the Falls and Niagara City Cruises, leave from the park grounds. There are not many places Canada that you could see such a display of nature, even the winter months have something beautiful to offer with stark, sweeping trees and branches gracing Queen Victoria Park.

Beautifully laid out lawns and flowers. Very peaceful. So quiet and calm to walk around or rest after walking a lot to the Falls and up and down the streets with so much activity and so many people. A nice, peaceful and quiet break to the day.

Google
A beautiful area to walk through, to admire the flower gardens, shrubs, trees and wildlife. A relaxing spot, where you can catch a view of the American Falls, or the Canadian Horseshoe falls. There are restrooms nearby, and spots to picnic. Sometimes a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of Clifton Hill.

Coming here for the first time was a wow moment. Tulips were in season and the backdrop- the falls. I saw patrolmen, maybe to ensure safety in the area. This is the middle of the fallsview trail area, so a good start to your sightseeing adventure.

Google
A really nice park which is a great spot to walk through and enjoy the outdoors. You can walk through this park at a quiet time and hear the shear power of the falls. Well worth visiting when in the area.

Peaceful, clean, not too crowded in early hours of weekdays. You can enjoy a nice walk with a view of the falls. Parking is paid, $25 for an hour.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful park and gardens near Niagara Falls when you need a break from the tourist craziness and just want some peace and quiet. They even have an outdoor theater stage that I want to perform Shakespeare on someday! The best part is that you also have a view of the falls so you can sit on a bench, relax and take in the beautiful views! Add this to your list!

Yelp
Beautiful place to see the falls! Also a great spot to catch fireworks if they're planned! The most breathtaking views of the falls are right there. We were in town for the annual Festival of Lights and this area was stunning! Every building and tree was adorned with twinkling lights, in addition to the extra displays that were set up. Truly a magical place to visit during the holidays!

Yelp
Every single one of my friends told me that if you are going to Niagara Falls, you should really view it from the Canada Side... so that's what I did. And believe me, I'm glad I did. Queen Victoria park is a beautiful Canadian National Park that makes an already epically awesome site just that much more awesome. There's not much I can add aside from what's already been said, but I can tell you that I would highly recommend making a dettour if your anywhere near the falls. They are certainly worth seeing.

Yelp
Sometimes during the summer they have live music to add to the already beautiful experience of walking through the stone paths looking at the gardens and flowers. So well maintained any gardener will bow down to the intricate detail and precision of design in the gardens in Queen Victoria Park. It's a quieter walk away from the water through tree lined paths, a place to relax and reflect. In winter, during the holiday season, the park is a festival of lights. The paths take you through beautifully lit displays of holiday scenes. A picturesque experience, great for families.

Yelp
If you ever visit Niagara Falls, you must also visit the Canadian side, too. The Niagara Falls State Park is a beautiful stretch of scenic land with pretty foliage. My friends and I were able to take a lot of beautiful photos amongst the picturesque décor, landscaping, and flowers.

Yelp
Very pretty park with awesome views of Niagara Falls from Canada side. Both American and Canadian falls are clearly visible. The selfies come out very clear (if the wind is blowing in the right direction). The Canada side falls are a stone's throw away. I recently visited the park during their Christmas lighting time and it's even more beautiful. There were lots of people and it was very festive. There's plenty of parking, but not managed very well. The Christmas light show is free and drive-thru. But the exit traffic was not being managed well, so it took very long to go through the light display. Without the traffic issues, I would give it 5 star rating.

Yelp
Awesome views!!!! I don't know if I can say enough about this location. You are a stone's throw away from Niagara Falls, the crisp air, and the awesome grounds to walk. I can't wait to make it back here and would love to come during the winter months to check out their holiday displays and stay for the night time displays at the falls.

Yelp
I love this place! Especially in the winter when it's all dressed up with the light displays. The work they put into the Christmas displays is outstanding! The place is always clean with top notch landscaping.

Yelp
Beautiful walking grounds next to the Niagara waterfalls. Great place to stroll, listen to outdoor concerts and watch the nightly fireworks over the falls. There's a few places to grab dinner or drinks with a view of the falls.

Yelp
Very pretty park, especially with all the Christmas/NYE decorations. Has a nice atmosphere when it is coated in snow, like a winter wonderland.

Yelp
This park has a view of the American Falls, Goat Island, the Rainbow Bridge, and the Horseshoe Falls. I could also see the Maid of the Mist from above.

Yelp
This place is a world class park for the huge mass of people that visit here. With stunning views of Niagara Falls, a beautiful spacious park and picturesque floral garden, the Niagara Falls Visitors Central is the crown jewel. A large stone, brick, granite and marble building with multiple floors of souvenir shops, restaurants, candy and ice cream stores. With the cool mist in the air near the overlooking railings and thunderous roar of the five hundred foot waterfall, the views are nothing short of fantastic and awe. At night the Falls take on a spectacular light show, so the crowds are there day and night! Make this part of your "Bucket List"!!!!

Yelp
There's a lot to like about this linear park along the Niagara, but unfortunately also some problems. The promenade that runs at the edge of the gorge has some great views of both the American and Horseshoe falls, but it's really much too narrow. It's often just a few feet of walkway shoehorned against the Niagara Parkway, and not even on a single level. They seem to have the original walkway then you can step off the curb onto a few extra feet carved out of the street with barriers. In fact, if you're not paying attention, it's quite possible to fall off that curb that way. It's also not stroller or wheelchair-friendly except at a few points where they've put temporary ramps. Please, Canada, fill the new space with a surface at the same level of the original. As it is, even the widened path is so congested at times that it's like trying to walk on a busy Manhattan street - an exercise in frustration. New York removed part of the Robert Moses Parkway to make the area much more pedestrian-friendly. (A million curses on Moses' name.) I can only hope Canada, usually more progressive than the US, will follow suit by getting rid of the intrusive traffic on the parkway and expanding the park. The occasional garden along the park is much more along the lines of what they've done right.
