"Living like a Queen The counterpart to Kings' Shops in Waikoloa is Queens' MarketPlace—a family-friendly venue for shopping, dining, and entertainment where everyone can enjoy a little hula, live music, or a movie under the stars. If you’re feeling peckish before (or after) an island excursion, the MarketPlace is home to the Daylight Mind Coffee Company, Hawaiian Fish n Chips, and Marble Slab Creamery so you can leave on your adventures with an added energy boost. In the evening, take your dinner at Sansei Seafood, Steak & Sushi Bar and investigate all the island shops like Lava Light Galleries or Hawaiian Ukulele & Guitar to find the perfect gifts to bring home. Within close proximity of the resorts on the Kohala Coast, Queens' is a beautiful place to spend a lazy afternoon or bond with the family on a night out."

Pleasant upscale smaller open air Plaza style mall. Seems like it never recovered from pandemic. Several storefronts were empty and one was down to its last two days. Lots of parking. Some restaurants only open 4 to 8pm. The Rum Shack is worth the trip.

Google
Best place for shopping or movies groceries and dining especially if you are stuck at the beautiful but grossly overpriced low quality Hilton Waikoloa. Take a $7 Ride Share over the $5 Van Can be crowded but it is also very friendly and you can ask for a custom drop off sometimes.

Google
A variety of shopping options. Great grocery store, Island Gourmet, fantastic variety of hot and cold food options. Highly recommended you shop here and save on the high prices at your resort. Also, I highly recommend the Lava Light Galleries, Phil Waller is this photographer, and his work is amazing.

Great atmosphere. Open air mall with beautiful garden in the middle and plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors. It has a movie theater, restaurants, and affordable shops. ABC mega store is towards the end of the mall offering deli, grab and go, made to order delicious food, groceries, fresh produce, seafood, souvenir shop, liquor store, and personal care products at affordable prices.

While visiting The Big Island we stayed at Waikoloa village and walked around Queens Market Place. There are so many shops located in the market place and so much to see. You pretty much can purchase anything you need. We hit up the Starbucks a few times and the grocery market for odds and ends since our room had a kitchen. They also have a few restaurants and a movie theater which is pretty cool if you wanna catch a flick. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Keep in mind they are within a resort location so prices are going to be higher. If you read my review, please hit the like button. Aloha and happy spending.

Google
Decent mall… aside from the Island Gourmet market where we picked up the first breakfast after landing at the airport, be sure to check out their culinary market on designated Thursdays… we had a very delicious Thai Nong Express and Mexican (Kapua’s Snack Box) from the culinary market!

Google
If you're in the Waikaloa area this is the place to go to shop, have a meal, and even do some grocery shopping. We've eaten at every restaurant here and all are worth your consideration.

Google
Aloha everyone! This place I've been going to for a long time and the Queens Marketplace has decent restaurants, it used to have more of for the pandemic hit. Came here two years ago and they had a restaurant called Charlie's it was a Thai place that was really good but unfortunately they went out of business cuz I think the owner retired. Okay now about the grocery store, everybody has to remember that because prices are so high is because you're in a resort so they can charge whatever they want. We came in here this past 2 weeks and half a gallon of ice cream is 12$. Thomas Bagels are 13$, you don't always have to get the name brand. But there is sandwiches and they're already made up food is really good you can find a lot of reasonably decent priced merchandise, luggage, t-shirts, stuff for the kids or stuff for you. But you always have to remember when you are in a resort, they can charge whatever they want! If you want Bagels, get the ones in the bakery there's $6 versus 12. If you want cereal go up to Waikoloa Village they have a grocery store and almost half the time your stuff's on sale. This is my first review for the market and I do wish they would bring some more food options for the food court because when I came here 2 years ago every slot was filled with people & restaurants, what I really dont like is if you need a rashguard/boardshorts etc there is no place there that has them. Need them? Go to the King's Shops RIP CURL has what you need. Or if you're willing to take the 20 minute drive into Kona go to Safeway and you'll save a lot more. Mahalo🌺

Yelp
Aloha my friends! Second time back in terms of the Big Island. Again love this island so quiet for my style. Back to the grocery shop review. Lots of options if you need to do any shopping while on this side of the Big Island. Basically, this is a ABC store/ 7/11, Hawaiian BBQ, Panda Express kind of feel in the mainland. There is an especially useful and well-stocked grocery store here where we did a lot of our shopping to stock up on supplies for this portion of the trip. However, if you like bulk shopping of course there is Costco and Walmart 40 miles away. Overall I love this place. Parking was also easy, and the public spaces within the shopping center were lovely.

Yelp
"In The Dark" - Billy Squire If you come here at night and park in the parking lot, bring a flashlight, like a big one. The flashlight on your phone isn't very powerful and if you're driving a rental car and can't find it in the dark parking lot, you probably have to turn on the panic alarm to find your car. There are some lamps glowing a very dull, orange ember, probably to prevent light pollution but it also makes for some scary walking in the parking lot, like someone jumping out and mugging you. Despite the darkness, I gave this a 4-star because this marketplace houses the Island Gourmet Market where we took food out for breakfast, lunch and dinner because the hotel food was too expensive and A-Bay's Island Grill was so awful (read my other review). We tried to get dinner at Waikoloa Pizza but when we saw the size of the pizza box, we decided not to get a pizza. Straight to Island Gourmet Market! The mall was pretty empty on a Saturday in October except for the Island Gourmet Market, which was the only establishment raking in the bucks. We did buy a rash guard at Rip Curl, which was WAY cheaper than the hotel (as to be expected). Coming here in the daytime was much better.

Yelp
A delightful outdoor mall with a variety of shops and restaurants--perfect for passing time or simply enjoying some people-watching.

Yelp
We come here every other day on this vacation- we enjoy the walk from the ocean Towers (only 20 minutes) and love the market & Deli with fresh food, fruit, snacks, premade food, and essentials. There is outdoor seating. The shuttle bus also comes here after noon every 20 minutes, $5. Lots of restaurants here, beautiful art, clothes, drugstore too. I like the yoga studio too. Music on Sunday at ~6pm - but check the schedule.

Yelp
Queens Marketplace is a great place to visit when staying at Waikoloa. I particularly love the quiet and relaxing nature of the area. It wasn't too busy but also not empty. It's kept clean and the aesthetic is very nice. I love the variety of shops and food. I particularly love the Island Gourmet Market that has anything you could possibly want. They have souvenirs, hot food, poke, milk tea, etc and it's also a grocery store.

Yelp
I have been to the queens market, place a handful of times, and every time I go I like the eclectic things that I can find! A lot of islander things, as well as different Japanese, or Filipino things only found on their islands and country. I like all the different merchandise they offer and there's a lot of employees walking around that are helpful. I will definitely be back again! Hee

Yelp
I rated this place higher on the scale for a couple of reasons. I had this place bookmarked prior to visiting due to all the wonderful reviews from Yelpers! In Waikiola, there are not many places to visit so I wanted to make the best of my time. This marketplace appeared to have a lot going on so we decided to stop here a couple times. It was not too far from our resort but definitely not a short walk. We visited here at least 3 days during our visit to Kona. There are so many types of businesses here. There are restaurants, bars, retail stores, a movie theater, and essentials. We stopped in the ABC store each time we visited the marketplace because that store has everything you could want on a vacation! We also browsed in other stores but did not purchase anything. We visited several bars in the marketplace as well. The Rum Bar was a fun experience and we had a couple round of drinks. We also stopped in the Wine Bar one night. Honestly, the view I think was my favorite part of the marketplace. You can see why by looking at the photos I took. I actually sat there for 15 minutes taking in the gorgeous views. This is definitely a place worth visiting when you are in the area but FYI, grab an Uber earlier than 8pm because we struggled each time past 8pm to grab an Uber back to our resort.

Yelp
Lovely upscale shopping plaza, with a little bit of everything - from boutiques to coffee to restaurants/bars and even a (luxury) movie theater. Familiar brand names along with small local businesses reside here. It's a convenient & picturesque spot for grabbing a bite to eat or doing a little shopping. I always enjoy a stroll around here, whenever I'm in Waikoloa.

Yelp
Would you come to Hawaii if you had to pay $1400+ a week for a car rental, if available at all? I always come to Hawaii during the April 15 tax time, as that's the time they have timeshare openings. April 15, 2021 no rental car openings. Fifth time I've been to the Big Island, including three times when the volcano was erupting years ago. Second consecutive year stayed at Ocean Tower Hilton Waikoloa Village without a car. We can go without a car, because two giant shopping centers, King's Shops and Queens Marketplace within walking distance of our timeshare. The $3 Waikoloa Trolley and the free Hilton Grand Vacation shuttle travel between our timeshare and the shopping center, each running every 30 minutes. Place has a food court, supermarket, cinema, and the usual tourist traps of jewelry, clothes, art galleries, and other souvenir stores.   Did all our grocery shopping at Island Gourmet Market, including cereal, milk, quaker oats, blueberries, lettuce, tomatoes, dressing, and 36 oz plain no fat yogurt.  Got hot food, bento boxes, sushi, and hot restaurant made to order food. Their sushi was so good, we purchased sushi almost every morning. Ate at Ippys Hawaiian BBQ, Charley's Thai Bistro, Island Gourmet Market, Romano's Macaroni and Grill, and Kuleana Rum Shack, all with indoor dining just starting in April, 2021. Long lines and waits to get in during prime dinner times, due to 25% limits on indoor dining. Purchased short fins, snorkel tube and mask at Blue Wilderness Dive Adventures for $52.35 (includes tax), about the cost of renting them for one day at Hilton Waikoloa Village lagoon. We didn't eat at Sansei, as they were just reopening for take out, and didn't have their Sunday-Monday evening half off discounts. Aloha Bol, Big Island Burritos, Hawaii Fish N Chips, Paradise Pizza & Grill, Subway and Lemongrass Express all in the food court are closed. Watched the hula dance shows at the pavilion in front of the food court, in February 2020, before the pandemic, and downloaded five videos with this review. April 15, 2021, the hula dance shows are cancelled indefinitely, another victim of the pandemic. Oh, yes, they have a Crocs store here, but men, would you be willing to be seen wearing pink Croc clogs? Not me!

Yelp
Walkable. It's like an oasis in the middle of this barren lava rock riddled island here. An assortment of shops and restaurants here. It's a welcome retreat after seeing black lava on either side of the road. They use red bulbs for the street parking lights.

Yelp
Decent shopping center in Waikoloa. It has a couple of great places - Starbucks and Island Gourmet Marketplace, plus a movie theatre. It's also conveniently located in Waikoloa, easily accessible by visitors staying at any of the hotels and resorts in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a sad little mall with a nice big ABC store that has some good food. That's the only thing that gets me to come here.
google avatar

Byron B.

Yelp
Very nice shopping center with a grocery store and a Starbucks. They have a nice mixture of restaurants and specialty stores. The only downside is a lot of the stores open later in the morning or have strange days are closed throughout the week. I will just make sure if you're coming from A distance so you call and make sure the shop is open. A lot of the hours online are different from the actual hours of the stores and I'm not sure if that's due to Covid or a B in the off-season

MaryAnn R.

Yelp
The Bistro restaurant was horrible! Worst service ever. The food was only so-so. The manager was as incompetent as they come. We were a large party and we all agreed this was a terrible experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Great shopping plaza with just the right mix of upscale galleries and down home favorites. Spent a good afternoon here and only watch out was the break sometime between 3-4 for some of the smaller shops (single staffing).

Yelp
Our family's favorite go to place for delicious food and shopping in the island..... they definitely have lots of food selections within walking distance from our beautiful resort.....

Yelp
Located in Waikoloa Beach Resort, they offer all the essentials. Staff is friendly and attentive, food is reasonably priced and prepared daily. There is outside seating, and free parking, but it gets busy.

Yelp
Love this marketplace! Great stores from SoHo Keiki, Mashka, Maui Diver's etc. Everyone is very friendly, the Island market has an amazing selection of items and delicious sandwiches. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
From what I have heard, this mall used to be super busy and upscale. Now, not so much. There are a few small stores, mostly mid-range and sundry. There are also a few restaurants but for the most part, it is very sparse.
google avatar

Yelp
Staff is friendly, stores are clean, variety of shoppes, prices are somewhat reasonable, variety of items, sizes for kids and adults.

Yelp
Best place to shop for foods and other thing to make the Hawaii trip more affordable.

Yelp
Great Trader Joes type of store owned by the ubiquitous ABC stores that are on every street corner (and in between) in Honolulu. This location is an ABC store on steroids with their selection from tourist souvenir items to fine wines, liquor and hot meal items served throughout the day all at value pricing for Hawaii. Over several days we tried their breakfast, lunch and dinner items - all were good quality and value. A nice gem offering one stop variety in an otherwise overpriced area with lower quality offerings.
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Bottom Line: Anchored by Island Gourmet Market and includes a variety of local Hawaiian stores. Queens MarketPlace is a nicely landscaped shopping plaza that is now ten years old. Compared to many other highly marketed shopping centers in Hawaii, Queens MarketPlace has a lot more local stores. Some of the local stores I enjoyed were Genesis Art Gallery, Reyn's Aloha shirts, Malibu Shirts vintage artwork merchandise and SoHa Living home decor. I also like Island Gourmet for a quick dinner or some groceries. Queens MarketPlace is across the street from the older King's Shopping Center. You can easily walk from one to another. Both are located in Waikoloa Beach Village.
google avatar

Yelp
It was a general store with various gift shop items, lots of foods and a grocery store too. Pretty high priced but that's to be expected for a resort area.

Yelp
Queens marketplace was our second stop after going to Kings. I liked this marketplace a lot more. There were more shops and eating places. There was a Starbucks, which is a must have! They even had a small market. We came here on Black Friday and the stores were having some pretty awesome deals. We went to volcom, who was having a 40% off the entire store sale. We ended up getting some things for my husband and the kids. It was great. My favorite store there! We also went to crocs, who was having a buy one get one 50% off sale. Of course it was perfect timing because my son had grew out of his crocs. We also went to pac sun, who was having a buy one get one 50% off as well. Overall, the marketplace itself is amazing. No water views from this one, but there are a lot of ponds and bridge like areas to walk over. It is really pretty. They also have their own parking lot to park. It is great for tourist to find what they want that they cannot find many other places. It was a great experience and will definitely come here again.

Yelp
It's a nice place to walk around. Always clean and they decorate for most holidays. Lots of stores to choose from and workers overall seem pleasant.

Yelp
HAWAII VACATION #7: CONVENIENCE - CLOSE TO RESORT I WAS STAYING AT Throughout my years of traveling wherever your accommodation is affects your itinerary. Even though you might not have the ideal itinerary for your trip you still have to make the most of it. Prior to this past May I never been to Hawaii before. When my family and I booked our trip to the Big Island last February we planned to stay in Royal Kona Resort in Kailua-Kona through a family discount but it fell through. We ended up staying at Aston Waikoloa Colony Villas. Staying there changed my itinerary as that place is about 45 minutes away from Royal Kona Resort where I based my itinerary for my trip. However Queens Market Place was a blessing in disguise as it's only a two-minute drive from the condo I was staying at. Let me say this from the outset - this place is a tourist trap as there are shops and restaurants at this plaza shopping center geared toward tourists that tend to be overpriced. If you look beyond those shops and restaurants there are some hidden gems. First there is a grocery Island Gourmet Markets that has some Hawaiian specialties in the deli or meat section. Second if you want to try something local the Starbucks at this marketplace serves the Hawaiian-style coffee Kona. Coffee can only be considered Kona if the coffee beans are cultivated in the Kona Districts in the Big Island. According to the sign at this Starbucks you cannot find Kona Coffee at any Starbucks in the mainland. The best attribute of this marketplace was this was pickup area for me for the Kohala Waterfalls Small Group Adventure Tour. That was convenient as I didn't have to drive a long way to get picked up for the waterfall tour. Overall this place is quite ok especially if your are staying at an accommodation close to this marketplace.

Yelp
This is a food court don't expect fabulous food. Don't even expect that you'll save any money here. Go to a market if you want to save actually go to a Costco to save money on food. Ippy Hawaiian food was just ok. I have to say they made me garlic chicken when they didn't have it in the menu plus they gave me extra sauce when I asked for it without a charge. Th loco moco (Chicken katsu) was tender but the rice was too mushy for me.

Kent K.

Yelp
They have everything you need here! Including good lunch food for the beach. We had some good turkey wraps and sandwiches we could take on the fly and the Manager and staff are very helpful and also Manager was seen on the floor and very helpful.

Marina D.

Yelp
It was a 92 degree day and I was thirsty. I went into STARBUCKS and asked if I could have a cup of ice. One of the female employees said "no we are out of ice. I said well I will order a drink and pour it out just for the ice, I even offered a $5 tip to just get Ice. Then she said we have to go to the market to buy more ice, we are scraping the bottom of our container. So, I stayed to watch all the ice going into drinks. The rudeness that I encountered should not ever be happening in a customer service business. I'm just left perplexed.

Yelp
A little shopping mall in the lush paradise of Hawaii. Not really a fan of big business on the tropical island but I can see how some enjoy shopping while on vacation. If you are one to feel relaxed while browsing through malls well here you go. In the beautiful setting of Waikoloa resorts you can find plenty of clothing shops, a gallery, jewelry, food, a high end market, and even good old Starbucks. Familiar stores like Pac-Sun, Dairy Queen, Macaroni Grill, Volcom pepper the mall. I don't recommend the Island Gourmet Market unless you really need to get groceries now and don't want to drive 10 minutes away. But if you do need them, they have what you need. It is also an ABC store which if you have been to Hawaii, these are very popular. With the resorts just down the street and shuttles stopping by every 30 minutes, this is a convenient place to shop. If you want more culture head into town.
google avatar

Paul F.

Yelp
Great little mall with a balance of stops. The island gourmet is a big anchor here as only grocery/conscience store around. Name brand and local Stores here are present. Clothing stores, art gallery, active wear and sports, touristy place and others. Food court as will with basics and step up for quick eats or grab and go to eat at the beach...
google avatar

Nina U.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, we stopped here because I saw Mahina but we found several more stores and did some good shopping! I wish there were better places to eat or snack here but that's okay. Mahina - my favorite local store Quiksilver - Aloha shirt, $100 for a shirt/slippers/hat/boardshorts...not bad! Persimmon - outfit on sale and bralettes Volcom - cool surf store stuff Genesis Galleries - Koa watch and maybe we can take home some of the artwork one day
google avatar

Yelp
We are at the Bistro at the cinema. Nice atmosphere, nice music, friendly staff. The staff makes all the difference to me in order to get a five star rating. Owners need to know when they have a good or bad staff because that is an Important aspect of their business. We had the garlic fries and they were excellent, pizza, moco loco, salad. Very good food.

Shelley J.

Yelp
This is a fun place to visit. Check out the ABC supermarket for great deals on souvenirs. They have merchandise such as Aloha shirts, t-shirts coffee and chocolate from Hawaii. They also have lots of the same but made in other countries such as Indonesia and China. If you want authentic Hawaiian merchandise, be sure to check the labels. They have authentic Hawaiian tea, honey, chocolate, and cookies. It's also a great place to grab a snack or a cheap meal. Don't miss Malibu Shirts. The vintage style T shirts and other apparel have very fun vintage/retro designs, but also it's like a mini-museum with artifacts related to travel and tourism in Hawaii. The manager is very friendly and fun. Check out Genesis Art Gallery for authentic and beautiful artworks by local Hawaiian artists. We bought a beautiful painting there.

Yelp
Amazed that the dining area was crowded at 1130am. Lots of folks were lined up at noon. Come early!

Yelp
I'm a little surprised that I haven't reviewed the Queens Marketplace yet! I have been to the Big Island for about 5 times in the last 8 years now so I'm pretty familiar with the Kona side of the island. When I first came here, I had discovered the Queens Marketplace with all its little stores. It makes for a nice stroll through the area if you are jet lagged and tired and don't want to head south to downtown. There are awesome little art galleries featuring local artists, beachware stores and of course, Starbucks, if you need it. There's a food court here along with Island Gourmet Market where we get fresh fruit and Aloha juice! They also have all the other grocery store items that you may want if you planned to cook here. There's a shuttle that takes you from the neighboring hotels to the shopping center or you can drive/walk to the area from the Marriott. This is a fun little tourist trap of an area and a great way to get settled onto the island!
google avatar

Chris V.

Yelp
There's a market here - good thing cuz there were things we needed and we didn't want to drive back to the main city where Target/Wal Mart was. It's pricey, but trade off of being local. There's a small bakery/boba cafe inside here along with a mini gift shop- for gifts to bring back to co-workers, friends, etc. (chocolate covered macadamia, keychains, t-shirts, and Knick knacks) if you wanted to buy before going back to the airport. We did some shopping here, limited stores, but had what we were looking for. They have a small food court and even a theater if you wanted to feel at home.
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
Went to the island gourmet here at this plaza. They have fresh food hot and cold! And great teas and drinks. A fancy abc store. It's affiliated with Island Gourmet. Shop shop Shop!

Yelp
The Queen's Shops has been the quintessential shopping venue in the heart of Waikoloa and possibly the epicenter of commercial activity in north Kona. If you were here, you would know why too. I've been here on a few occasions previous to the most current visit in late June 2017, but failed to file a review on yelp till now. The Queen's Shops is pretty much a self containing shopping oasis, where tourists come north of Kona to vacation and just simply relax here on the big island. Shopping seems to be at a premium here, since they have many stores that seemed to be upscale or just maybe out of my price range. Many retailers here are clothing shops, which reminds me of a way smaller sized Ala Moana Shopping center on Oahu. There is a centralized food court, which has your basic essentials for your vacation here in Waikoloa or wherever you decide on going on the island. I myself remember hitting up the ice cream parlor on previous trips here, as well, as just checking the scene out. The overall experience here at the Queen's Shops for me was a good decent one. While I do not have the urge to go close shopping while on vacation, I did enjoy seeing and sampling what food options are here on the property. There is a Starbucks here, so that has to be good, am I right? On this latest trip to Waikoloa and to the Queen's Shops, I had lunch here at the Subway in the food court, ice cream nearby, Starbucks for a drink on a Saturday. It was here that I won my first raid battle on Pokémon Go too, so that was special anyway. :) on Sunday, the Kona marathon and half marathon finish line was staged nearby, so I got to hang out here as well. A couple of friends of mine got to hangout here at Charley's Thai restaurant for lunch after taking part in the festivities during the morning. The Queen's Shops is located at 76-000 Waikoloa Beach Road in the heart of Waikoloa. You head north on highway 19 past the Kona airport. Once you see two Hawaiian thatched houses on your left, that's your cue to turn left. The Queen's Shops is the first cluster of buildings you will see. Further in would be the hotel's and resorts. Many of the Shops here accepts major credit cards, so that's always a good thing. Especially when you are a tourist, it's hard not to accept credit cards. Parking here is always plentiful. Sometimes, you would need to look around for a spot, but your best bet is to just get here early and find that parking spot. Everything else is gravy, really! Shopping here is always an experience. They have your higher end Shops that accentuates that experience of shopping in paradise. Many stores in the Queen's Shops can help you get the look you are striving for while on vacation. Regardless of what you are here to do, stopping off at the Queen's Shops is the ideal respite to shop to you drop, have great dining options, or just hang out here if you have nothing better to do on any given day in the heart of Waikoloa. You are in paradise though, so shop with a Starbucks drink in hand and you'll be alright. The Shops itself is kept maticulpusly clean and I don't think there's public wifi. Only Starbucks I believe has their own wifi for customer use. I enjoyed my time here at the Queen's Shops and I will continue to come here whenever the travels to kailua-Kona allow me to do so. It's a nice shopping strip mall to get your shopping groove on. Outdoors though, but the food court is inside. No air condition though. 4.0 stars overall. Nice selection of restaurants and retail shopping. Support local! B

Yelp
This market place is in the Waikoloa resort area within walking distant from the Marriott and Hilton Waikoloa. It is a outdoor mall with several restaurants like Macoroni Grill, Sansei. There are Starbucks and Dairy Queen, subway, food court with more reasonable prices located here as well. You can get good souvenirs and surf clothes (Quick silver, Volcome, Local motion) or children clothes (Cynnamon) here... or just relaxing by the jumping water fountain. For grocery and fresh products, the Island Gourmet (used to be the ABC store) has it all... A bit pricey but it is a resort area after all! This market place is certainly designed to serve tourists since it is located in resort and time share area! I'm surprised some reviews complaining about this place being touristy (like complaining why the sun is too bright!) Parking is free and plenty though!

Yelp
This is a weird shopping experience. There are shops spread out around and they don't seem to be sign posted so if you like walking around and exploring without a plan do this.

Yelp
Not a lot of shopping to do on this side of the Big Island. So having the QM near (meaning about 15-20 minutes) from my hotel is a big deal. Place is pretty nice. Lots of parking. One of the few markets in the area, ditto movieplexes. And plenty of food. Mostly local spots except for a Subway in the Food Court (yep, even here...) and a Macaroni Grill? Maybe they meant Macaroni Salad Grill. Food court has some interesting choices although it's rather ordinary in appearance and as a result, some of the spots look low-rent and unappealing. Still, it's a good shopping area and I must have gone here at least three times during my stay at the Westin.

I'm baffled by anyone not giving this 5 stars. By resort area standards the prices here are amazing. They have so many options, breakfast, lunch, dinner, bottled water, wine, t shirts, desserts, you name it they have it. Love doing breakfast here, lunch sometimes too, then typically something closer to fine dining for dinner. We are her at least once a day for something while at Waikoloa.

Yelp
Here is one of the few places on this part of the Big Island that you can choose from many different fast food service locations which range from sit down Italian and Thai to fast Hawaiian, BBQ, and Pacific Rim fusion, Subway, Paradise Pizza, and even DQ. Their Island Gourmet has ridiculously high prices, but now they are an ABC store. That means you can get good prices on clothing and touristy items. ABC has a long tradition of good things at fair prices. They have over a hundred locations on Oahu Prices are all at Hawaii levels to be sure. They have music and Hula shows in the center of their mall but please be warned, our keiki were very disappointed when a highly promoted Hula show was canceled without notice because it was cloudy with a chance of drizzle. Hey it's winter and Christmas season already.

Yelp
Our condo was conveniently located within walking distance to Queens MarketPlace. They have great stores and even greater staff. Everyone was so friendly at the stores we visited!! Quicksilver, Crocs, Starbucks!! They have an AWESOME ABC store called "The Island Market" very wide selection of souvenirs, fresh food, groceries...pretty much anything you need for your trip can be found in that store. Yummy restaurants as well. Definitely recommend!! Mahalo!!

Yelp
They make fresh malasadas every morning and they were really good! They also make good boba teas. Did not enjoy the hot meals as much there!

Yelp
Just went to the free luau last night. Incredible. Under the gazebo. We brought our own chairs and food & drinks and sat on the lawn. From 6-7 we watched a hula halau that is like a dance academy but SO worth the hour. Seeing kids of all ages and some adults dance authentic hula on a Friday night--awesome. Also they weave a story together so listen carefully. Then you can go shop after. Soha is my favorite store for home goods, and Mahina for woman's fashion. Looking forward to going back in 3 days. I didn't spend nearly enough time there last night.

Yelp
Bought lunch here with my family. There's outdoor seating, but today it was too windy. There are only two tables indoors. I was forced to comment that an employee (with her name tag on) was occupying a table that we needed. So unnecessary. Not pleased that I was put in this position.

Yelp
Queen's Marketplace is a very cool mini shopping mall with resort shopping feel. There is a food court called Ono Food Court, and stores like Giggles, Blue Ginger Family, Reyn's, Local Motion, Persimmon and Sunglass Hut. Lots of parking and clean bathrooms.
