Visited this amazing museum on Dec 9th with my brother whilst on holiday from England and found it so interesting, harrowing and informative. The VR experiences of WW2 and Oct 7th were mind blowingly real. Can't thank Gabby and Janice enough for their time kindly given to enhance the experience. Really recommend it. Peter

Firstly the staff were all very kind and friendly. The museum was very informative, lots of interesting things that many exhibitions don't think to mention. Makes you realise just how much you don't know. Many heartfelt donations that were lovely to see. Items from surviors in particular. The respect and place of honour for those in Brisbane with a connection was very lovely. Would recommend to EVERYONE

I had to go to the city for an appointment, but I decided to make the most of the trip by visiting a museum after. Google told me that the Queensland Holocaust Museum was just around the corner, so off I went. Tucked away off the busy road, the Queensland Holocaust Museum is a true hidden gem. The staff who work here are incredibly passionate, kind and informative. I took my baby girl with me and the staff went out of their way to help me with the elevator and store my pram. Coincidentally, the day of our visit was also the one year celebration since the Museum opened. Holocaust survivor Peter (pictured) was there. We said a brief hello to him which was a special yet humbling experience. While the Museum itself isn't too grand in size, it packs in a lot of information, testimonials, artefacts and video content. The tribute to the children that died in the Holocaust brought me to tears. It was truly beautiful. While the subject of the Holocaust is frankly quite distressing, everything is presented in a tasteful and sensitive way. I honestly think all residents of Brisbane would benefit by visiting this important time capsule of history.

A deeply moving and poignant experience. The immersive experiences provide a visceral perspective on unique, deeply personal histories. The museum gives voices to those millions lost and ensures their memories are never forgotten. Our tour guide was awesome!

I was greeted by a friendly staff member who explained how to walk around the exhibition and what to expect. The moment I entered, I was fascinated but in a sad way. The war is presented chronologically, and at the end, there’s a VR experience that tells the story of a little girl. I was crying the whole time! 10/10 absolutely worth it!

I found my experience deeply interesting and profoundly moving. Meeting the two women and hearing their stories made my visit so much more personable. I will definitely be back to visit again because there’s so much to see and learn.

The Queensland Holocaust Museum is a must see if you are visiting Brisbane's CBD. It tells the story of the persecution of the Jews and other minority groups in the lead up and during WW2. This Museum is a place dedicated to the memory of all those that perished, survived and saved many during the Holocaust. Upon entry we were given the "low down" by a super friendly volunteer on all the info that we needed for our visit. The museum is laid out is an easy follow story line with a number of Discovery Pods where videos (some very emotional) complete the story. Museum volunteers are on hand to help out with any enquirers. 👍Tip: The entry is on the ground floor, the museum on the 1st level which is a flight of stairs down to the museum. A lift is available for easier accessibility. 👍Tip: Check out the video Queensland Holocaust Museum on ROAD TRIP'N Face Book page if you are after a complete tour. This is a "must see" Museum in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. ROAD TRIP'N www.roadtripn.blog
