Quirky. Crowded. Vintage (not in the best way either). I ended up staying here for one night. Since this Holiday Park is "in" Queenstown, I'm not surprised they try to squeeze in as many vehicles and people in as possible. You have to be pretty skilled an patient to navigate a camper van through the site. There is really only one road that loops through the property, so if there are any cars dumping or clearing their grey water, you'll be waiting behind them to either dump or exit. Anyone dumping will block the exit, so make sure to dump or leave early (before 9am) if you don't want to get stuck behind vehicles. If you do end up getting stuck, try the other exits if you're able to maneuver your way there.
The facilities are a bit more vintage (let's not say old) than the other holiday parks I've stayed at. There aren't a ton of hobs in the main kitchen, but the good thing is there are four kitchens, so if you're willing to do a bit of walking, you'll find a free hob eventually. There are about 2-3 toilets and showers per facilities building and there are four facilities buildings located onsite. The nice thing about this place is there were plenty of washers/dryers available, although I didn't use them.
WiFi is available, but limited to 250MB for sites and unlimited for guests staying in the lodge.
If you're staying in Queenstown for longer, and don't mind a bit of a further drive, make your way up to Arthur's Pass Top 10 Holiday Park.
