It is a very handy place to stay. Easy to get to as on the main road. Park up and a 10 minute walk towards the center. Driver.(Christchurch Touring Company)

Facilities are a bit dated but it's a good location. There's no aircon which makes the room rather warm at night during summer. But customer service was warm and friendly.

Well located motel just 2 minutes away from the town centre by car. Great amenities and they have Sky TV. It's that well located that we are able to get to the local sites within minutes. My only peeve was that one side of the mattress was too soft. I guess it needs to be changed. Thanks r the upgrade it was excellent 👏 👌

It was very expensive for 3 days so we expected the rooms to be a bit more updated. We were charged an extra 3% on top of the charge for the room for using a credit card when 1.5% was quoted online. It was a struggle to get our bags to the second floor. $300 per night when converted to Australian dollars, we were shocked. We went through booking.com, and they added their bit. Who pays in cash these days? Or carry around $900 worth of cash in your pocket. We did have a lovely view of the lake. It was a bit far to walk into Queenstown where you can not park anywhere for longer than a half an hour limit or go to a multi-level car park and pay $6 per half an hour. It wasn't easy to cross the road exiting the motel towards Queenstown by car as it was a very busy road. Crossing the road by walking was difficult as well.

Dark room, good for one night. Hard to park in car park quite busy. Hilly trek to town.

We had a lovely stay here, the beds were extremely comfortable and the staff were helpful. It was fantastic to have a bath after running a half marathon. No complaints

Vishal and the staff were lovely. We were offered a free room upgrade due to the confusion over room descriptions on a third party booking site. We stayed in a Deluxe Lakeview Studio. The rooms had adequate heating, electric blankets were a nice touch. Soft linen, comfy beds. Shower pressure and temperature was superb, plus we had a bath which was lovely on the really cold days. The roadworks right outside are loud and take away from the view a little but we had a toddler with us so we were awake early etc anyway. Would stay again & thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Yelp
Stayed here for three nights during the end of our tour in New Zealand and wanted to like the place, and did like the place for the most part. Sure the place had its quirks; soap in an unlabeled dispenser, hair dryer hidden in a drawer under the television, very very slow internet, 2 remotes for the TV that had different functions, but the place was clean and did have charm. My review is mostly positive until the last night of our stay when we came back to our room and found that our backcountry campstove was taken off of the balcony where we were airing it out in preparation for our future air travels. At first we thought it was stolen, until we called the office inquiring if they had taken it for some reason. And they had, despite it being written in their Guest Book that they were not to touch personal property. When trying to figure out how to get the campstove back (from 8PM to 8AM they are apparently not on-site) we were chewed out personally for several minutes while we maintained a very professional and calm manner in trying to get our possessions back. In the end we had to jump through hurdles to get the stove back, and were not given it back until right before our flight took off. We can understand the hesitation with seeing a campstove on the balcony and the bad review is not based on them even taking the stove. They were just doing what they thought would protect their property, even if it was an over-reaction. The negative review is a result of how we were treated afterward. We did not appreciate being berated for minutes nor the unnecessary inconviences we had to endure to get our property back. With the customer service we received I cannot find it in me to recommend this motel to anyone, despite the quality of the hotel. To top it off, they never did service or clean our room during any of the three days that we were paying for our stay. Thus, we received no service at times and bad, rude service at times.
