Very good experience with SAH sports centre (#01-49). Very polite and great staff/boss. Bought 2 pairs of sneakers ( 1 for wife and 1 for myself) Will return for more.

One of the last remaining vintage "shopping centers" ever in Singapore, no renovations done since the 80's, I reckon, everything as it is till these days... is renowned for its extensive selection of sports shoes and apparel/ badminton / n others sports, optics shops, t-shirt printing etc.. n the third level, there's few thrift shops (nothing really fantastic but the price is way better those in Haji lane) ...

My favorite mall when it comes to all-things sports, outdoor, football and specialty services (racquet stringing, embroidery, shirt printing, trophy making). It’s quite a small and old mall with not much walking spaces, feels like every stall is very similar in terms of goods and services. Deals and prices are more or less uniform across the stalls actually if you enquire enough. Most of the sports and apparel are on level 1 - with most choices here. Level 2 is more on thrift shops and specialty services, while level 3 has more printing and trophy services. For football fanatics, Weston is your best bet to get something. You may not find the most top tier designs here but you can get a very decent price for low and mid-range products. Expect at least a 10-20% cheaper than official retail outlets. All brands are authentic, so don’t worry about counterfeit products. But do check for defects as some are very old models which have been in cold storage for years! For those who need a rest, there are massage chairs for use and also very very good local delights like the chicken rice and Katong laksa - some even visit this place just for the food!

Nostalgic to come here for a walk, was looking for sports shoes and soccer boots in my earlier days, and visited Weston store on level 3 for soccer accessories option. Can never go wrong with the food smell once we enter the mall. Great location for all things sports and t shirt printing

The whole place smells like laksa. Otherwise, its a good place to buy all sporting equipments or for toy collection enthusiasm.. Not a place for dining as limited choices.

This is a to-go place since I'm little. There's something about this place that keeps me coming back. They sell a range of stuff from sporting gear, sporting apparel, optometrist, tailors & even printing companies. This place is simply amazing!!! Oh but best of all... the smell of Laksa is just mind-blowing. Apparently it's the famous katong laksa. I do not know if it's nice or not as I just had lunch prior to my visit to Queensway shopping center, I had to resist. They also sell lots of local food to tempt your taste buds. Mostly food that I had eaten as a child growing up in Singapore. Such beautiful memories. Yearly I visit Singapore & this is the best place to get my supply of contact lenses. They have a huge range & sure to find a brand that suits you. This time I had my glasses done as well & it's cheap & awesome with great service. Btw, it's Look @ me on level 2. Look for Ken. Hopefully one day when you visit Queensway shopping center & have the same happy experiences like I did.

Looking for sporting goods at cheap(er) prices? Think no more, Queensway shopping centre is definitely THE place to go! The building may be old, the car park may be dingy, it may not be very accessible by MRT... but hey, it is definitely worth the trip! You'll see shop after shop selling your sporting goods (apparels, equipments, accessories, etc) at discounted prices than what you'll be getting at Orchard Road. You can even haggle prices here due to the strong competition, so it'll be good to put your negotiation skills to good use. Definitely walk around and do some price comparisons before you decide to make a purchase! Beware though, some shops here have some sort of a cartel going on... or maybe they're just owned by the same owner, so very often you see goods being moved from one shop to another, or even price checking with a simple phone call between shops. Other than sporting goods, there is also a large number of optician/ eyewear shops, some printing shops, tailors, as well as my favorite stores selling local small bites and laksa/ curry mee. The eyewear shops are great due to the great selection, awesome and efficient customer service, as well as the pressure of competition within 5 walking steps. Hey, a little bit of friendly competition is always great for the customers! :P If you're unhappy with the selection, simply put it down and walk right next door! If you're looking for shops to print your namecards, Tshirts, customized mugs, or even trying to buy photocopied school exam papers, there are many printing shops upstairs that provide such services. They are cheap, and provide very quick service! If you have a pair of jeans that you just bought that needs some tailoring, look no further - there are many tailors here who can help you on the spot and you can collect your clothes on the same day after spending some time shopping around. If you're bored of shopping, sit down at one of the food stalls and enjoy your ice cream, tutu kueh, tea eggs, steamed corn in a cup with butter, or a hot piping bowl of Katong laksa/ curry noodles. This place is as local as you can get, and I love how it hasnt changed much since my growing up years. I remember coming here to get cheap FBTs when I was in school, and PE shorts were so tacky (and pricey). I also remember coming here to buy the latest, trendiest, and flashiest sports shoes, when those were still kinda the "in" thing to compare in school. I remember coming here to print our class customised design Tshirts, and namecards for our student organisation. I remember buying my first pair of goggles, tennis racket, badminton racket here. Gosh, such wonderful memories :)

do not judge a book by it's cover. yes the building is old. yes the car park is always full or parking lots are a tight squeeze. but please focus on the purpose of their existence! they exist primarily for you to be equipped with sporting goods at cheap prices without having to traverse the length of our island. a one stop destination they are. where else can they string your tennis rackets on the spot??? shoes mostly at 25% discount in almost every shop. even if it's not stated, they always extend the discount without me asking. just bought a pair of adipower barricade at 30% discount = S$146!!! football jerseys of any team you support. on the side: f&b for those who are all shopped out. clothing alteration services that are cheap and fast. mass photocopying services. toiletries. interesting eclectic fashion boutiques. optical shops. etc. to reiterate: this is the place for all your sporting needs!

Queensway Shopping Centre the name is not as fanciful as those in the town area. But definitely there's a beauty to it. You will be amazed by the range of sports apparel that the shops got to offer. Let me tell you the beauty of this shopping centre it offers a huge range of sports apparel & gear. This place offer great discounts and most of the shop is selling sports items. There is optical shop at level 1, printing shops as well and you can do your name labels here too which is located at level 4. Local people like us will pop over here to find good deals or bargains but definitely the prices are more affordable as it give discount as compare to those shops in town. Weekend is definitely busy so pls pop over in the morning if you are driving. Do note the carpark is small and lots are limited.

Queensway shopping centre, the Singaporean consensus on the one-stop mall for cheapest sporting equipment. While I agree that they do sell cheap sporting goods (mostly sports shoes), I feel that the overall prices were not reduced by much. Adding to that, if one does diligent price surveys, one would realize that nearly all shops would offer the same model at the same discounted prices! They do not really undercut each other nor are they willing to! Now, I would like to caution potential buyers to keep an eye out for grade AA fakes that are sold at high prices. The only way to prevent it is to be versed in knowing the "marks" of an authentic product are. If unsure, I would always advise buyers to head to more reliable sports shops such as World of Sports or Royal Sporting house. Back to pricing, most older models would be sufficiently discounted but the newer models are only slightly discounted! This is due to the price control on the shoes, especially by companies such as Nike. Most models in Queensway shops would be lower by 15%, while the newer models would only receive a 5% discount. On the bigger scale of things, it might only be a measly $10 discount for the newer models. Therefore, I would recommend Queensway for buyers who are not looking to buy anything high end or new, just because of the limited discounts given. Buyers who are located far away might find that the travel to Queensway might not be worth the discount. Aside from sports equipment, I would recommend the curry chicken and katong laksa sold at level 1. It is one of the better curry chicken stalls in Singapore and is usually very crowded with limited seats. Just indicate to the stall attendants how many seats you need and they will find you a seat ASAP. There is an underground carpark in Queensway shopping centre. There are no nearby train stations around, so accessibility by public transport would be the bus and taxi services.

When I was a student in NUS this used to be one of our favourite hangouts. They sell lots of cheap sports goods, from jerseys to shoes to shorts and all sorts of equipment you'd need. Do shop around for a bit before making a buying decision because prices vary slightly from one stall to another. Also, you are allowed to haggle here so do take advantage of that! And if you're hungry there's some good laksa and tutu kueh shops around on the first and second floors where you can grab a quick snack before continuing on your hunt for bargain sportswear.

This is one of my favourite haunts for discounted sports gear, watches, eyewear, toiletries, and photcopying services. I also discovered hiking boots selling for at least 20% cheaper than in departmental stores. I would especially recommend The Sunglass Shop on level one if you are looking for eyewear and can't decide between the myriad of available shops there. I don't think they necessarily offer the cheapest prices but I really appreciate the customer service they provide. My husband and I always look for James who seems very knowledgable about his products and gives his honest advice. Most importantly, he doesn't hard sell and seems to have a real passion for what he does. I think he did a better job at testing my eyesight than my usual optometrist! I'm not a fan of laksa but the store in the basement is supposed to be really good. The proximity to Alexander Village for delicious hawker fare and Ikea for yummy meatballs/chicken wings makes it all the more appealing!

My mother once told me, when she was a little girl, Queensway was the Takashimaya of Singapore. Now? Not so much. But then again, all you should ever come here to do is to buy cheap sports gear and eyewear. Nothing else. That being said, there are stores selling snacks, and more recently laksa and curry chicken if you ever get hungry while shopping for new shoes.

This mall is pretty old and feels like a step back in time about 10-20 years. It still remains THE place to go to if you want to buy cheap and good sports shoes and apparel. It's pretty mind blowing just going there - there are what feels like a million shops crammed into tiny little corridors with no windows so you can't get a sense of day/night in here. Each shop is usually covered wall to wall with all sorts of shoes, so don't get overwhelmed and buy at the first shop - take your time to shop around, because you can often find the same designs in the various shops, sometimes for cheaper too! I scored a pair of decent Nikes at $69, which was great because I wasn't looking to spend a lot! There are some bites in the centre of the mall if you get hungry, old-schoolish type hawker stalls with plastic seats around. Parking here can be insane on weekends - it's a small carpark and gets very full. Head over to neighbouring Anchorpoint if that's the case, or the surrounding HDB areas if you're familiar.

Queensway oh Queensway, relic from the past. Okay so its been the default one-stop sportsgear purchase point for ages, and I have loads of friends who still get team jerseys there. You can get decent deals, as long as you bargain like a seasoned auntie. Apart from that, there's actually a interesting selection of clothing and accessories retailers, including my regular eyewear guy. If you get hungry along the way, try some of the snacks around the ground floor atrium - the curry chicken and the laksa are pretty good, and I always have a fondness for tea eggs!

Blast from the past! Queensway Shopping Centre -- or just Queensway will do -- feels like the Singapore of the 1970s. Or what it must have been like, because I wasn't alive then. :) It hasn't changed much. This is still the place to go to to get spectacles, contact lenses, sports shoes and other sports supplies. And. Laksa. There's a small booth in the basement selling 328 Laksa (there are two, actually, just pick whatever smells good to you, it's about the same), which is close enough to the Katong stuff if you just want a good bowl of laksa in this area. You'll have to walk around and shop for the best prices, whether you're buying sports equipment or glasses. Don't be afraid to ask for discounts. There is also a store on the second floor near the toilet that wholesales shampoo, soap, shower gel, facial wash and other toiletries, including stuff that's not easily found in shops outside.

$3.30 for 6 minutes parking to pick up some cards. What a rip-off. Last time I will be patronizing this place.

I used to head to Queensway shopping centre whenever I needed new track or court shoes, bags or any sporting equipment, convinced that it gave the best discounts and we get the best deals. While they do offer pretty good discounts at times, one should be careful about the quality of goods that they offer, especially so for the shoes. Often, they are more generous about offering discounts on older models because the shoes have been kept in the store room for too long. My dad got a pair of Nike Lunars from one of the stalls, only to realise that the glue had hardened and the sole was coming apart after 1 run. He tried to get a refund/exchange but was rudely refused. Ever since then, we have steered clear of Queensway shopping centre when we needed to buy sports shoes, preferring to buy them from concept stores as we would rather be assured of the quality despite having to pay slightly more. Their discounts on sporting apparel can be quite good though, so it may be worth checking this place out if you are looking for a new sporting outfit or something along that line. There are also a couple of T-shirt printing companies at the top level of the place which offer pretty competitive prices.

If you play football then you'll know that is the go to place for all things football. I don't think I've ever got my soccer boots from anywhere else. Huge Nike Football posters line this old looking shopping mall so you can't ever miss it. There are so many shops within selling the same thing so do make sure you walk around and sniff out the best deals. If you're looking for a pair of old soccer boots like the Lotto Stadio maybe, you'll be sure to find it at one of the stores in Queensway Shopping Centre!

I visited this Korean restaurant on the 3rd level of Queensway Shopping Centre last week. The food was delicious!

This is one of those "it's all relative" things. By US standards, this mall isn't that great. The prices aren't that great. The selection isn't that great. The merchandising, service, availability of sizes, colors and models isn't great. HOWEVER, we aren't in the US. This is Singapore, where finding sports equipment seems to be really challenging. So this is where I go if I need anything. (That or I literally have it purchased in the US and brought over by the next mule to fly over the Pacific.) To give you an idea, I was desperate for new tennis racquets for my kids. I purchased good but not spectacular Prince and Wilson racquets for about $110 each. Same racquets online in the US would have been about $60. Oh - and the store I got them from was the only store that had junior sizes, and I only had a choice of about 2 different racquets. I had to keep chasing the nice store salesperson (hello, Singapore!) to get him to complete the purchasing transaction. All in all, I got what I wanted, but Singapore has a LONG way to go in terms of marketing and selling sports equipment...BTW - I don't' even try to find running shoes in Singapore. They're either $300 a pair or the chintzy Bata kind that fall apart when you wear them once...

i was at a huge sport shop at level 3. the service there was extremely terrible. i was going to buy a swim wear and needed assistance. i raise my hand and was spotted by 2 staff. one was a normal female staff and the other was a supervisor. the female staff turn her head towards us and then turn back. the supervisor just quickly walk further away. i then walk toward the female staff and ask for assistance. She came over and stood there. i asked her for the type and the size. then she replied in a very rude tone" all the size are there u can just go and try them". i was stunned by that attitude. My first though was that she was uneducated. She stared at me for a while then i said never mind so she walked away. i cant believe the attitude she gave a customer. this really spoil my entire mood of shopping for stuff at queensway shopping centre
