"Tasting Portuguese Cheese in Downtown Whoever doesn't like the smell of cheese should think twice before entering this shop. Not only do they sell a wide variety of Portuguese cheeses, they also dedicate the shop to national traditions from all over the country. Besides cheese, you can buy olive oil, cakes, liqueurs, charcuterie, and more. And there is a daily tasting menu. The shop is hard to miss, in downtown just in front of a tram 28 stop, in an 18th-century building."

In the heart of Lisbon, a small place where you can stop for a second after hours of walking. Local very simple but kept very well. You are immediately at ease tasting the typical cheeses of this beautiful nation together with a good local fresh beer. good quality / price. To try.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Had a delicious salad and and a fantastic Bacalhau com Natas. Totally recommend the place. Nice to watch the passing Trams as well :)

Stopped in this quaint little cheese shop for a quick lunch. Loved watching the trams ride by as I enjoyed my wine and cheese

We stopped in to pick up a cheese to pair with our wine that night, expecting great service and a nice selection of cheeses. Unfortunately, we got neither. First, when trying to buy a segment of a wheel, the saleswoman tried to insist we get the whole wheel. Finally, when we bought a slice, they tried to charge double the cost. The icing on the cake was when later that evening we sat down to eat our cheese and wine pairing, and it tasted mouldy. It was a big disappointment.

It's just another trap for tourists. The selection of 4 cheeses (€12,90) consists in a few tiny slices of cheese served with generic jam, no bread. Personally I found taste and quality nothing special. The cheapest wine is €2,90 and it is just undrinkable. All the 5 stars reviews are not realistic.

Good concept and good produce. Prices are good and worth a quick stop. The staff are a bit rusty and are still getting the hang of the place/routine. Very helpful and friendly. Go for a glass of wine and some delicious cheese.

Came here for a quick bite after our walking tour at Alfama. Great selection of Portuguese cheeses and wine! And super friendly staff, too.

Yelp
My friend and I did a walking tour of Lisbon and we stopped in here during it, so we came back the next day to order a mixed cheese board and some wine. The place is super cute and they have a great variety of cheese to choose from. The only gripe I have is with the staff. We were the only people in there and it seemed like we were inconveniencing the ladies working there. We had to ask for several things that we felt should've been complimentary with our board; like bread. The wine wasn't anything snazzy, like most of the Portuguese wine I tasted over a few days. They didn't smile or ask if we needed anything and they only cracked a genuine smile when we tipped them at the end of our visit.

Yelp
I discovered this little gem which was a stone throw from the Napoleão wine shop in downtown Lisbon. They have a lot of cheeses from Portugal, which are hard to find and expensive in the U.S. There are other delicacies like pata negra, jams, cookies, wine and more. I was able to pick up quite a few things for souvenirs. Cheeses like Azeitao, easily over $20 a wheel at Whole Foods Market in the U.S., are only 7 euro here. What's even better than the price is that the manager can vacuum pack and seal the cheeses for me, with a little machine, so it was a breeze packing them into my luggage. There is no room for eating in, though you can most certainly have them prepare a sandwich or cheese platter to go.

Yelp
My friend and I opted to do a cheese tasting with wine pairings which was absolutely delightful. We tried 6 cheeses (from around Portugal and other EU countries) and 3 wines all from Portugal: a white, a red, and a port to finish. We also ordered some smoked ham which was absolutely delightful (we later saw the leg of pig and the ham was freshly carved when we ordered it). The cheese came with some quince and dried strawberries to clear your palate. Service was excellent. My friend loved one of the cheeses so much she opted to buy some to take with her (which you can do). I loved my cheese tasting experience and you will too!

Yelp
Cheese was awesome. Wait staff was annoyed and ripped us off. They overcharged us by 2 euro. Otherwise, it's worth going to.

Yelp
I would give it 20 stars! It is the restaurant of choice on the Sintra Majik tour with lunch, and worth EVERY PENNY! The owners are SO ADORABLE, I wanted to pack her up and bring her home. And the food? OMG! We had their house special bean stew, with everything chock full of huge chunks of every part of pork we love (including pigs feet). Luscious and decadent, a blue collars meal that EVERYONE was having, along with their creamy mashed potatoes. SIMPLY TO DIE FOR. D E L I C I O US! Their one bite cheese cake version and their desserts in general are true Lisbon/Sintra. Another dish, fish in a shrimp sauce... Also excellent. Great wines, great prices. Time it right, the place PACKS and we were off season! If you want authentic food the locals come for in droves... This is where you want to be. No frills. Just REALLY HONEST TO GOD GREAT FOOD, in a very clean restaurant! I LOVE THEM!
