Quest Canberra

I had a fantastic stay at Quest Canberra. The apartments were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The location is excellent—close to shops, restaurants, and key attractions, which made getting around very easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to help, which really made the experience even better. Everything was well maintained, quiet, and perfect for both short and extended stays. Highly recommend Quest Canberra to anyone visiting the area. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Everything about my stay was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. I really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the hotel. The location was convenient and made it easy to explore the area. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend this place!

I stayed at Quest Canberra in November 2025 for a weekend getaway. The central location was ideal within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and transport. Our apartment was spacious with a great kitchenette and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. I had a positive stay and would recommend this hotel for couples or solo travellers who want a convenient and comfortable base in Canberra.

The room had noises from the building infrastructure, but also a lot of noise from outside from 7am e.g. rubbish trucks and building work trucks, people talking in the alleyway outside, etc. The rooms were also very warm, and the windows don't open, so I used the aircon but after cooling the room to 18 deg C at the start of the night for sleeping, after turning the aircon off the room warmed up again very quickly. ||||The staff were very helpful and polite and friendly. I was able to store my luggage at the hotel during the day after I'd checked out, which was extremely helpful. It was great that I could check in late, and the check in and booking processes were smooth. I used the iron and ironing board, which was a useful feature in the room. The room was clean. There were no views except of the alleyway and a small city street, and the seating had too low backs and too shallow seat depth for tall people (I'm over 175cm) but was otherwise in good condition. The door between the bedroom and the living room/kitchen could not open fully or close fully without swinging the bed out of the way so its corner didn't block the door.

Sorry about the service rating but we were there Christmas day and left before staff returned on boxing day. Charming old hotel, loved all the old photos in the beautifully scented corridors. Very spacious room with a complete kitchen.

While the apartment was great, need to be mindful that if you are located on the roadside (West Row) of the hotel and a light sleeper, it can get quite noisy late at night due to people heading home after a few drinks in their bellies and this happens most nights (hence average score for sleep quality from us)! Recommend getting a room on the opposite side of the hotel if you are a light sleeper. Also, there is construction happening just down the road for the next 6 months or so and they start setting up the site each day at 5am, again if you are light sleeper, they will wake you up. But overall, we were more than happy with the location to local eateries, morning coffee from Mayfair Espresso Cafe around the corner and a very short walk to the Canberra Centre - great shopping and food mall.

Had a wonderful stay , The perfect location to stay in Canberra , the staff made us feel at home great service. Rooms were clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. Highly recommended.

We had a very comfortable stay during our trip to Canberra. Located in the heritage Melbourne Building in the city centre, the hotel is easily accessible. Public transport interchange is right next to the hotel, which was important for us. Check in and check out were smooth, reception was efficiently manned. We had booked a one bedroom apartment, which came with a proper kitchen, utensils, washing machine etc. All the applicances were in good condition. Our room didn't come with any good view. There are a number of restaurants and pubs in the vicinity. So food and entertainment are taken care of. Highly recommended!
