Quest Dunedin

used to stay here every time I used to come to Dunedin but recently service had gone down, location is great. carpet wasn't vaccumed properly, no fresh milk in rooms anymore just cheap pod stuff. maybe or maybe not going to stay next time.

Didn’t have power for half the day, then didn’t have hot water or any water, toilets weren’t flushing and couldn’t shower. Tv didn’t work the second day (just had the letter n and kept loading) rung up reception twice and they didn’t answer. Wanted breakfast and put the order on my door and it never came. They charge $15 per night for parking but couldn’t access it with cars blocking the entrance. When I said that to the larger lady she was very rude and had an attitude problem. Don’t know who she thinks she was talking to. However the young girls at the desk during check in and out were very polite. Couldn’t even get out the entrance for a walk at 11 at night I was locked in. Dust where they keep the cups upside down, not nice. Staff loud during day when they are cleaning rooms which is really unprofessional. Modern room, good kitchenette and shower pressure when we had water was the only positive. Don’t think I’ll be back here again. Didn’t even bother to respond to my feedback.

Fantastic stay! Very easy to book online directly through the Quest Dunedin Website. A warm welcome on arrival and the check in process was seamless. The room was very clean and comfortable and the location is also a winner as it's walking distance to near by supermarkets and many other services. The team was fantastic. It just took a quick phone call and they were kind enough to arrange a late check out time to accommodate for my pickup time which I greatly appreciated. I felt very comfortable and safe as a solo female, thanks for a great stay!

The property unexpectedly managed to accommodate us for an early checkin. We checked early the next day and inadvertently left our medications in the room, reception was kind enough to call us and advise us.

Nice enough room but would not stay at this Quest again. Didn't appear to be much soundproofing as everytime someone closed a door out in the hallway it felt as though it was right in my room. Could also hear so much traffic go past outside despite no open windows. Reception closes so early on weekends and it felt very eerie arriving here on my own on a Sunday evening with no one around - especially navigating the carpark, lift, and corridors. Also, no aircon in room.

The housekeeping team is super unprofessional. I heard huge noise from 8am and I thought it was my neighbor so I just didn’t complain. But later on I found it was the housekeeper outside playing the music in the corridor. The housekeeper was also very unfriendly, knocking our door very hardly and pushing us to check out, with an accent no one can understand. Really upset about the service standard.

Nice enough rooms, but a few issues put me off staying here, the main was the bins being emptied and dragged around at 3am, this woke everyone up and went on for a long time, the bins were being pushed down past the buildings then the truck loading them on. Guess this would be ok to stay if it wasnt bin collection day. I get there is always going to be some noise, but this was excessive, and means I will never go back. Parking in the underground carpark was ok, but when going back it is where all the staff congregate and smoking in the undercover carpark, and it is very unpleasant. I have give 3/5 as it was nice enough, but would not stay again
