From the moment we arrived, our 5 night stay, I was told we would not be able to stay in our booked 1 bed apartment for one night, due to it being flooded, and that we were downgraded to a studio. Be aware that Quest charges a 1.51% transaction fee on debit cards. We were offered a free breakfast to make up for the downgrade, only to find that the restaurant is a Vietnamese banh mi Cafe, very friendly staff at the Cafe, but the fire alarm made the experience a disaster, evacuation of the Quest building, meant a cold breakfast to return to, breakfast was a value of $45 for the two of us. Not really a compensation of a downgrade, considering I paid an $18 transaction fee. My holiday didn't really start until I was able to unpack the following day, in our apartment that I had originally booked. It felt like a night and a day was wasted. Quest prides themselves on service and making the guest feel good. I felt like I was not valued as a guest, or even a Quest member. Even house cleaning could not take the time to clean our room properly, they took the towels, but didn't replace them, no replenished laundry/washing liquids. I did ask at reception, who gave us replacements. So to sum up. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable going back to Quest Mount Bay. But I can honestly say the apartments are better than the studios.
