We enjoyed our stay at Quest West End because the apartment was designed quite well. It was very spacious and mostly very comfortable. It was very central, which made getting around the city easy.||||The bed was very comfortable, and there was air conditioning in both the lounge room and the bedroom, so we could maintain a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. The sofa, though, was very low, which is a problem for seniors. The lounge room chair was much better, but there were two of us and only one chair. There was no grab handle in the shower, either, which suggests that this isn't ideal for older guests.||||As other reviewers have commented, the streets outside were very noisy at night. One car in particular seemed to delight in driving around revving his poorly muffled engine late at night, virtually every night. And police sirens were also fairly common. So if a quiet night is important to you, bear that in mind. Others have said that there is nothing Quest could do, but I would suggest that double glazing would help enormously.||||The biggest problem I had was in the kitchen. There was a kettle, but no coffee maker, not even a cafetiere. The only way to get a decent coffee was by buying coffee bags. Disappointing when they say that there are tea and coffee making facilities provided. Few people drink instant coffee these days.||||There was a small multifunction oven with a grill, thoughtfully lined with foil, as there was none provided. There wasn't any kitchen paper or plastic wrap either, which are normally standard in serviced apartments. There was also a convection microwave, which worked quite well. But there were no dishes to use inside it apart from two sandwich sized glass dishes. Most importantly, there was no oven glove, and I ended up burning myself (not badly, luckily) when I tried using a tea towel. I thought that was dangerous. When I mentioned it to a staff member, I was told to use a tea towel, and she seemed surprised that I had burnt myself that way.||||This sounds very negative, I know, and to be fair we did enjoy our stay. But these things need rectifying.
