Quiet Cove Riverfront Park

One of my favorite places to visit when I am in Dutchess county. Always so peaceful and scenic. Have had picnic lunches here several times. Love watching the boats pass by and sometimes crews from local colleges row by.

We had our wedding here. Renting was an easy process. When you call their number the receptionists walk you through the entire process. We had to get insurance for the rental that covered food and alcohol. We had the rental from 10am I believe until 7pm. We cleaned up after ourselves and received our deposit back.

I haven't been here in a long time and am happily surprised at how lovely everything is! I especially appreciate the handicap parking down below,closer to everything!

A wonderful park which is perfect for a picnic or reading a book. There are plenty of clean picnic tables and seating areas throughout the park, as well as hiking trails along the river and woods. It is a great place to watch the boats and trains go by while listening to the quiet lapping of the Hudson River. Today, we even watched a bald eagle fly over with a fish! Be advised, it is a fairly steep walk with many stairs to get from the parking lot down into the park (handicapped accessible parking is under the bridge and much closer).

A beautiful park right on the Hudson River! The parking is easy, and there's accessible parking closer for any who need it. It's a beautiful, quiet retreat with plenty of places to sit or picnic.

This place is very tranquil and calm. It is secluded and surround by nature with the Historic Hudson River flowing by. There are picnic benches by the river and up the hill. We went here to fish. Be careful of the water chestnuts! No swimming allowed. Come and relax.

It's a very beautiful view point. I love going here because for one, there is abundant parking available and if you have alot of things with you for grilling out or something you can drive down to the waterfront to drop off your belongings (or if handicapped you can park) Another reason is that the area is peaceful & it is quiet when it is not busy. I see alot of older folk take a chair and just sit there watching the lake all day long in the shade. My friend's husband goes fishing & I've seen a person take their puppy to learn swimming in the water as well. There is a place to access the water by foot as well as a dock for like, kayakers to enter the water. I don't recommend fishing because it is very rocky, but there must be other sections that are better bc one day i seen many people with fishing supplies coming back to their vehicles.

They have very nice grounds, and you can bring your own grill or use the ones already set up. Make sure to arrive with everything you need, as there are no convenient stores nearby. Bring your dog they’ll love it!

On a warm, sunny, late-August afternoon with temps in the upper 70s, this place is anything but quiet. Don't think that a small number of Yelp reviews means this place is a hidden gem, just about every available parking spot was taken today, including the 10 special parking spots closer to the water. The occasional sounds of passing trains, boats on the river, and a jet going to/from Stewart Airport add to the ambiance. From the regular parking lot, it's a 2-3 minute walk, under the tracks, to the park proper. There's plenty of chairs, picnic tables, and grills. There's a well-maintained restroom facility (masks currently required) as well as a porta-potty in the back parking lot. Closing times are based on sunset, so plan an evening visit accordingly.

It's one those parks where you'll drive by and ask yourself, when will there be a time to stop? Well, this time of season makes it its destination. The atmosphere is very peaceful and quiet, and it's great place to get together with friends and families. Picnic tables are provided along side with charcoal grills (personally my favorite). Bathrooms are provided inside in the building and a porta potty outside. Looking at the river is definitely the main highlight along with the sounds of nature. Parking is provided under the tunnel with few lots and the main lot up the hill. During the summer, aspect it to be packed and plan accordingly. With that, have fun!

Nice little spot! This park is very well kept with plenty of spots to sit and look out at the water. When I was there (it was a weekday afternoon) there were a good amount of people there enjoying the nice weather. Even so, it was pretty quiet, and there was enough room to spread out and keep to myself in this relatively small park. I really enjoyed the time I spent here, and even found a super cool saddleback caterpillar!
