This is truly one of THE BEST gems in the ring of Kerry. Not only is the owner spectacularly friendly and accommodating, and the staff all go out of their way to help, but the rooms are pristine, quiet, and charming, the property adorable and the FOOD - the FOOD - just out of this world. Do not go anywhere else: the mussels were so good we ordered a 2nd one. The fish is all some of the freshest as the fishmonger is a family member who had a store across the street. All local and extraordinarily good quality. My breakfast in my room was painfully good: I ate two yoghurts with rhubarb compote, the fresh bakery items (croissant, pain au chocolat) were delivered to your door, and the smoked salmon was also too good to pass up. I didn't have anything was was so good on the rest of the trip. This really stood out. Would go back in a heartbeat.

My friend and I stayed here on a "Ring of Kerry" booked tour, and we both agreed that this was one of our favorite spots. It's not the most ultra-luxurious in some ways, but it hit all of the right notes for us - clean, charming, a lovely property, but most of all, superb staff and the MOST delicious food. The owner comes from a family that fishes and her brother owns the fresh fish shop across the way - hence, the freshest seafood I had in Ireland. The mussels were so good we had to order a second plate. The food is not limited to the restaurant: the morning breakfast supplied to each room involves fresh croissant and pain aux raisins brought to your door, the most sumptuous yoghurt and rhubarb compote in the fridge (I ate both), smoked salmon and a lovely brie cheese. In short, nothing was lacking and the place had the most charm and care of anywhere we went. Would definitely go back.

We are hiking the Kerry Way. Due to the difficult nature of the hike today, we arrived early at our accommodation. We were warmly welcomed by Deirdre, the most exceptional hotel manager we have ever met. She sorted out a few of the difficulties we had, and made wonderful recommendations for the rest of our day. She also set up dinner reservations. We took all of Deirdre‘s friendly and professional advice and have not regretted a single moment. You’ll find this elegant accommodation and superb restaurant to your liking. It has been a memorable experience for us mostly because of the way we were treated by Deirdre.Thank you!

Fabulous clean rooms with lots of space, charm and information. Breakfast was lovely in the room and fresh pastries delivered in the morning. Would recommend. We didn't manage to get a booking for food as the restaurant was fully booked but had a lovely meal nearby. Staff were welcoming helpful and friendly. Great for a couples get away or a traveller looking for some comforts.

On this trip around the Wild Atlantic Way we have stayed at 4 similarly priced hotels and this was, by a country mile, the best. Spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped rooms, comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast in your room (this is a great idea which should be taken up by others), great restaurant attached with varied menu and very tasty food, friendly and attentive staff. What more do you want. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed recently for our golden wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The room ( Barr na Sraide) was excellent, the breakfast innovative and delicious and the meal in the restaurant outstanding. We have eaten in some of the best restaurants in Ireland, the UK and Europe and our meal on Saturday was easily in the top bracket. The presentation was excellent, the flavours outstanding and the service easily reached the same standards. All superbly orchestrated by Anthony and the very talented kitchen team. A total success on this special occasion. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We came on a rainy day without a reservation and were lucky to get seated, even if it was at a tiny table. The staff went above and beyond by moving us to a larger one once it opened up. I had the ribeye, which was fine on its own but excellent with the sauce, easily a 5/5. My girlfriend’s salmon spaghetti was the real highlight. Definitely order that if you get a table here. My only complaint is that the food takes a really long time.

What’s not to love? Seriously! From the minute we walked in we knew we just landed in the coolest place in Ireland. Deidre was freaking amazing. Beautiful and charming. She set us up right away with a great upper level room- the blue room. It was huge! Two beds, a huge bathroom, all the breakfast you could imagine wanting and brilliant guidance. She got us a reservation at their restaurant-Quinlans and Cooke- amazing! So happy we were able to dine there. It was such great service and food. And!!! We got to meet Kate. What a woman. Again, she treated us like immediate girlfriends. So fun. |This place is so well appointed, fun and perfectly situated. |I cannot wait to come back. |I only wish we asked for an extended stay rate! |Thank you Kate, Deidre and staff. You all nailed it!
