Quinnipiac University

Was on a university tour with my high school students today. They were so nice and welcoming. The campus is absolutely beautiful. They have everything you can imagine regarding amenities and a wide variety of majors! I hope some of my students get to go here someday. I can imagine they would be so happy there.

Terrible experience. The school is beautiful campus decent food and nice facilities don’t get me wrong. But if you are going into a specialized program be very careful. Do your research and ask people before going to any program. I paid a lot of money to go here and had staff wanted me to fail. The whole point of the school is to get a job but never went to a school that did everything in their power to sabotage me and made sure I did not get a job. Also, if you need a recommendation they will mostly likely not write one and if they do they will use it to gatekeep you from certain jobs. Also some the teachers will say targeted offensive comments to certain groups of people. The school will most likely look the other way.

My cousin is refusing to post so I will. The school will not make an exception for her to park on the man campus due to her job and out of school activities (since the university does not have sports teams for her). She has to track to a parking lot a mile from the school BY FOOT at 5am since the school does not have shuttles at the time of her practice which is off campus. I feel very uneasy about this since things Hamden, CT, she can easily get injured by another car in her walk IN THE DARK. The school is refusing to hear her out about her concerns, and many of her friends. Seriously, the students here are paying so much to attend this school. Do better.

Gorgeous campus! Every building was impressive. Tour was informative. Everyone we met was friendly.

Just a super orientation day for my freshman! Very impressed with the QU staff and their focus on a safe environment for their students. Really a reassuring day!

This is a beautiful school and I'm proud to say that my son graduated from there today!!!

Good university and getting better everyday year. It's trusted in Ct and beyond for health science. It's pricey, like all colleges, but if you know what you want and are a strong student, you'll get a good head start in life from Quinnipiac University.

The grounds are beautiful! We did a campus tour in the summer and our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. She was an international student from the Dominican Republic and unfortunately I don't remember her name.

I'm a landlord. I rent to Quinnipiac seniors. Each year this school produces worse and worse students. They lack the ability to do anything for themselves. It's strictly run as a business to make money. My tenants often brag about how high their gpas are without studying and to graduate you just have to show up a good amount of the time. 9 out of 10 Quinnipiac graduates don't even know their times tables. That is disgusting.

The best four years of my life! I met so many lifelong friends here - yea pricey but the programs and culture that you're submerged in is priceless. by the way, the food rocks, the dorms are solid and the partying is great. class of 2015!!

This is an absolutely stunning, small campus, that is modern in its amenities and decor. There are 3 campus sites, all manicured and landscaped, giving the feeling of a small prep school vs large University. This could be both a good or bad thing depending on what your student is looking for. The remote rural surroundings give a sense of calm and safety. No large roads to cross after returning from a night out. Beautiful hiking close by. Close enough to New Haven to take advantage of restaurants and culture, but peaceful back on campus. The Health Science campus over at North Haven is just top notch. It is here that undergrad and Graduate students in many different health care disciplines gather to study and participate in high tech simulation labs. These labs are recreations of hospital and medical settings, allowing the many different student majors to collaborate and reenact different scenarios. The facilities are spectacular and the staff is knowledgeable and experienced. While diversity may not be the top characteristic here, there are many other strong features that have our daughter considering attending for Nursing School.

Beautiful campus! We took a great tour. Guide was concise and very informative. Buildings are beautiful. Nestled so nicely!

The law school is wonderful. I had an amazing experience there and felt well prepared upon graduation and taking the bar exam.

Rude rude rude gate guard. Maybe that's the east coast hospitality. But visitors wanting to see the school come from all over the country.

Well, they are giving me a good education. The food sucks and the people are pretty basic but if you can get over that it's a pretty decent school.

Takes out loans for GI bill students even after they withdrawal and never fixes the issue even after they were to look into it in 2017 as I was leaving for the military. More expensive then Yale and not worth the money very horrible academics you get better education at a low level high school. Horrible waste of money and horrible crooks. Now the guy is dead that could even advise on the loans taken out against my authorization. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

As much as I love Yelp! when I'm looking for good food or coffee in some unfamiliar city, I wouldn't rely on Yelp! reviews to choose where to get a college education. A review might tell you some tangential stuff, like the quality of food in the student union (unexceptional) or the parking (available: see the helpful guards in the kiosk). Quinnipiac University is a serious place that has undergone a rapid expansion over the last couple of decades. The school now serves a significant commuter population, as well as a smaller group of resident students. I was on campus to attend a conference & can only attest to the attractiveness and functionality of the physical plant.
