The 8 Best Hot Springs Hotels in the U.S. - AFAR

"A family-friendly Montana riverside resort founded in the late 19th century that offers multiple thermal pools (about 100–106°F), a 55°F cold plunge, and salt-treated pools held between 90 and 100°F; the springs contain minerals such as calcium, fluoride, sodium, and sulfate that are traditionally associated with various health benefits. Overnight options include two lodges and roughly 25 cabins along the canyon and river, and on-site dining ranges from a full-service restaurant to a casual tavern. The property’s setting along the Clark Fork River and proximity to winter scenery make it appealing year-round, and offerings are tailored to families as well as couples seeking restorative soaking." - Michelle Baran

My wife and I stayed one night at Quinn’s Hot Springs and were genuinely impressed. From the moment we checked in, the attention to detail and level of care stood out. Our room in the lodge was beautiful—clean, cozy, and perched right above the river with a view that felt like something out of a postcard. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was a highlight. The food was exceptional, the service warm and attentive, and the overall vibe elevated but still relaxed. Breakfast the next morning at the bar was also solid—a perfect way to start the day before heading back to the pools. Speaking of the pools: they were fantastic. A unique variety of temperatures, great layout, and even a plunge pool to shock the system (in the best way). We loved that we were allowed to continue soaking even after checkout, which really helped us stretch the experience. The only critique—and it’s a meaningful one—is the strict 11pm pool closure. While understandable from an operations standpoint, it feels slightly off for a resort of this caliber. The pools aren’t located near guest rooms, and most guests soaking at that hour are mellow and respectful. Having the most intimidating staff member appear right at 11 to herd out 50 relaxed, paying guests was a bit jarring. It would be amazing if Quinn’s could consider extending hours, at least on weekends, or finding a softer, more guest-friendly approach to closing time. Still, we had a wonderful time and will absolutely be back. A magical place with great service, serene views, and those incredible waters.

STINKY! The pools are SULPHUROUS. I didn't see that anywhere when I was looking into booking, but it sure is stinky and hard to get out of your hair, even after showering twice! I would have been prepared better had I known ahead of time, so I am putting it here to inform others. The front desk staff that I encountered were professional and friendly! The pools were remodeled and they look wonderful. We loved hanging out in pool 3 the most. The showers were nice but that swimsuit wringer thing might be a little bigger, everyone doesn't wear bikinis and there are a lot of plus sized people nowadays. They don't pay attention to detail here, though... Attaching a photo of a disgusting light on the ramp up to the pools from the parking lot. BTW, there is only ONE handicap spot here where there should be two. We had the cheapest canyon cabin (pet friendly one), because that's all they had left when we went to book it. I wish we could have had a better one because it was hard to sleep with the REALLY LOUD air conditioner. It was very humid so we had to have it on. The train is also loud when it passes. We heard it at least twice. The rooms DO NOT HAVE INSIDE LOCKS or DEADBOLTS! I did NOT feel safe in there adding to the inability to sleep well. They knew we had 4 people staying, but they didn't give us coffee supplies for 4 people. There were only two packages and not enough cream and sugar. The bathroom had fixtures falling out of the wall, they really need to fix that. The worst thing is that the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were WATERED DOWN. It doesn't work, people! If you add water and shake it, yes it'll work for a day. But two days later, it SEPARATES! We got almost only water out when we took our showers, and can't shake the bottles since they are attached to the wall. Charging hundreds of dollars a night to WATER DOWN stuff?!? SHAME ON YOU!!! Unbelievable!!

This was our first experience at a hot springs and I was really impressed. The staff was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The room we stayed in was perfect. The wine in the room was a nice touch. We had reservations for dinner and the food and service was top notch. The pools were so relaxing. I’m already planning on coming back.

This was a great stop at the end of a long trip from ARIZONA to soak our bones in the hot springs. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The hot springs were awesome and very clean. The locker room was very nice and clean. The mixed drinks and beer were good too sipping a cold drink in the pools was fun. We had dinner at the hardwood house I had the ribeye with garlic mushrooms, broccolini and mashed potatoes and it was delicious! They also have bison steak which was very yummy too! The springs are located in the town of paradise and it is properly named. Larger forested mountains surround you on all sides and the Clark fork river runs through it for all the fishing enthusiasts. I would definitely go here again! I highly recommend it.

I had not been to Quinns in ten years so was delighted to return to the updated pools and the same exceptional quality at the restaurant and bar! All of the staff I encountered at the resort were friendly, efficient, and professional. The accommodations at the lodge were outstanding, the bed was comfortable and the television and refrigerator worked well. Soaking in the pools after spending a week hiking in Glacier National Park was just what I needed and appreciated! I am looking forward to returning soon!

Went for the day swim time that is offered. It's in 4 hour sections; 8-12, 12-4 and 4-8, if I'm recalling correctly. Nice price for 4 hours of hot springs, 7 pools (1 cold plunge). Nice drive with beautiful scenery. The have a bar in where the pools are (small drink menu but good enough), a small cafe to get some grub or make a reservation at the restaurant. Also have a tavern. Can opt in to have your poolside bar drinks automatically added to your debit if so desire. Just remember to close your tab before that person gets off or they will automatically close for you and automatically charge a gratuity. Staff was pleasant. Locker/changing room was nice size, plenty of lockers, changing space, a couple showers. Bring your own towel! Enjoy!!

Quinn’s Hot Springs is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Montana's wilderness. The hospitality at Quinn's is nothing short of exceptional. You can tell the staff loves where they work, and it radiates through every interaction. The hot springs pools are absolutely divine! The variety of temperature options—from blissfully warm to invigoratingly hot—means there is a pool for everyone. The sounds of the waterfalls are soothing and add to the rustic appeal of this resort tucked into the mountainside. If you're looking for a getaway that soothes the soul, treats your taste buds, and surrounds you with caring people and stunning nature, Quinn’s is it. Pure magic!

We completely enjoyed our visit to the hot springs, it has several different pools at different temperatures. They have a bar and drink service for kids. Our niece had a chocolate shake, the area is pretty. Rickie one of employees who helped us out and was so nice, getting us all the information we needed to have a great day.
