Quinta Bonita Country House & Gardens

My husband and I stayed here for a week on a retreat. It was perfect. Large room and bathroom with comfortable bed, nice shower, and a fabulous balcony. The quinta was beautiful and felt like home away from home. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating and lovely people. The pool was awesome. The grounds were beautiful. It was in a great location with some walking and easy to catch a ride to town.

Our stay at Quinta Bonita was truly unforgettable. The property itself is stunning — surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, peaceful views, and a calm, luxurious atmosphere that makes you instantly relax. What made the experience exceptional, though, was the team. Tania and Monica were outstanding — warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive to every detail. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The chef's staff also deserve a special mention. Every meal was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully presented. The breakfasts and dinners were a highlight — fresh, local ingredients, and always served with a smile. If you're looking for a peaceful, elegant retreat with personalized service and genuine hospitality, Quinta Bonita is the perfect escape.

I hosted a yoga retreat at Quinta Bonita in May. It was so wonderful that I booked two return visits. Not only are the grounds and rooms spectacular but the chefs and hotel team are top-notch. We ate well, we slept well, we enjoyed the yoga space, pool and gardens and the facility was perfectly situated to explore the spectacular hiking in the Algarve. See you next year, Quinta Bonita!

Where do I even begin? I brought a group of 9 yogis to Quinta Bonita this past May and it was the most amazing stay! From the beautiful grounds to the impeccable staff and full culinary experience, it’s hard to even put into words how amazing this home is! ||I’ve been leading retreats the past four years and this was truly the most seamless, authentic experience my group has had! While I don’t repeat destinations often, I can’t wait to bring a group back to Quinta Bonita!

A beautiful and tranquil location with cozy and charming rooms. The outdoor space is very peaceful, not to mention absolutely gorgeous. The food, however, is truly exceptional- so much thoughtfulness and care- feels truly nourishing! Tonya was an incredible host. She really added so much warmth and heart to my visit.

Recently, our friend booked the entire place for their wedding, and we are lucky they invited us to stay in Quinta Bonita for three nights. It is a stunning location for a wedding, with a beautiful house and grounds. The room was decorated and furnished with attention to every detail.||The wedding package included breakfast. The food was tasty and well presented, as well as the food on the wedding day.||The owner is not very chatty, but she does the job, and Tanya made our stay more pleasant.

We spent almost two weeks at Quinta Bonita in October 21, extending twice, The property worked perfectly for us, great as a base to explore Lagos (5 minutes away) & the western side of the Algarve, and as a quiet haven to relax, laze around the pool, and in my case to work remotely. ||||The hotel is located on a hillside with extensive gardens and is a large, converted country house/villa, which has been designed well, it has lots of spaces outside the bedroom, terraces, cozy corners, lounge area etc, to relax in - and is well maintained.||||The room we were given was excellent and ticked all the boxes; large sun terrace, a generous bathroom (with separate shower & bath, good water pressure, and lots of hot water when needed), plus the essential large & very comfortable bed. Only slight complaint would better wifi - upstairs (but its great downstairs). ||||The yoga studio was an oasis of calm ... in what is already a very relaxing hotel, nice to have which we both used to exercise in ||||Breakfast was served (covid rules in place) on the terrace while we were there, excellent and a great way to start the day. ||||Fraser & Chantelle, whom we got to know a little during our stay, are the perfect hosts. They have the balance just right - welcoming, knowledgeable when you have questions, around when needed but allow everyone the space to relax and enjoy their hotel.||||We'd love to return and probably will!
