Quinta da Lua

We spent 12 days at Miguel's beautiful BnB near Tavira. The staff is attentive and the premisses are super clean and very well maintained, with a special attention to small details. |Access requires a car, but Tavira and the beaches are less than 10 minutes away.

We spent nine nights at this country inn. Our entire stay was outstanding. Staff were accommodating and the owner, Miguel, was helpful with suggestions about restaurants and visits to the beach. An eight minute drive into the city for dinner. Two good golf courses close by.

This is an ideal place for a couple to relax in a quiet and very tasteful boutique hotel. This is a meticulously run hotel, closely managed by the owner, Miguel. Breakfast is of the Four Seasons variety and what we really liked was all the little things that made our stay really comfortable like beautiful port wine in the room topped up when used, an apple by your bed every day or the honesty bar where you can help yourself to whatever drink you like at very reasonable prices. Miguel’s local restaurant recommendations were spot on. We never would have found these places without his help, a couple of which , A Mesa and No de Gosto are Michelin standard at normal prices.

Picture perfect stay in summer condition. Beautiful place, attentive staff, a place to enjoy peace & quiet. The town Tavira is a gem, the Barril beach beautiful. Top restaurants abound, Miguel can give recommendations. A car is necessary, otherwise difficult to get around.

This is a little, hidden gem. Very small , wonderful service and incredibly quiet and relaxing. It’s officially a B and B but lunch can be requested. The pool and gardens are beautiful and so peaceful, just what we needed. ||I loved the fact that when breakfast is needed you simply sit outside your room, the table already laid and the breakfast instantly apprears ! A wonderful spread of fruits, pastries, cheese, Ham, eggs and granola. |The pool is then 20 steps away. ||No rushing for sunbeds, we were allocated the same ones for duration of holiday. The honesty bar was very well equipped with hot , cold and alcoholic drinks as well as snacks. ||A 10 euro trip by taxi to Tavira. It also has its own sunbeds reserved at the beach. Miguel is an excellent host and together with his team, nothing is too much trouble. I particularly appreciated the refill of homemade biscuits , chocolate , water each day. We stayed for four nights in a group d floor deluxe room. If you want relaxation, this is the place. ||Thank you all.

Such an amazing place! Perfect if you want a beautiful place for a relaxing holiday. You will not regret staying here! Miguel is a wonderful host, the attention to detail is incredible - you can really feel that someone cares about this place. The pool is big, breakfast is amazing and the garden beautiful - I think it looks better than in the photos. If you want walking distance to bars and restaurant this is not the place for you. However, everything you need is just a short drive away. You can also get lunch and dinner at the Quinta. We had a car and could drive around and discover the nearby area.

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. The attention to detail in the bedroom, bathroom, gardens, & common areas is second to none. Fantastic bed and linens and decor. The breakfast is delicious and locally sourced. The figs are picked in Miguel’s garden! Everything presented beautifully and nothing is too much trouble. The pool is nice and long for lap swimming and the gardens are very well kept and yet also relaxed and there is shade if you need it. We will return as soon as possible!|

We spent 2 nights in the Quinta da Lua and enjoyed very much this peaceful and isolate spot. The place has a beautiful garden and the pool is pristine. Alexandre is very helpful and on top of all the COVID recommendations (e.g. mask all the time, deep room cleaning…). They are offering voucher so you can spend your day in the beach with lounge chair and umbrella. The voucher includes as well water game like SUP or canoying. The breakfast is delicious and very well presented. We didn’t have lunch there so I cannot assess (diner is not available at the moment due to COVID).
