Yelp
Quinta de la Rosa really was the highlight of my short stay in the Douro Valley.
STAFF - absolutely awesome. Friendly and so helpful. They're more than happy to call cabs for you if you don't happen to have a car already. Very accommodating for any questions.
LOCATION - it's a short 5 minute drive from the town center/train station. Cab fare will be around 6 euros each way. We didn't mind taking a cab everywhere, if anything, we liked being more secluded and having an awesome view certainly made up for it.
FOOD - breakfast is included and was full of delicious meats, cheese, pastries, fruits, and drinks. Dinner can be ordered for 25 euros and will be served on the balcony, while you're looking at the wineries across the river in the sunset. It's a 3 course dinner and comes with 3 wine pairings. I recommend this.
ROOMS - everything you would need, with extra towels for the pool. Don't dare open the windows after dusk because there's A LOT of bugs...
WINERY TOUR - they offer a pretty informative tour for just 5 euros, including a tasting of 5 wines (table + port wines). It's pretty cheap and the groups are small so it's great for asking questions. Their port wines are some of the best I've had in the Douro Valley and Porto.
TLDR; come here!
