"Quinta Del Carmen’s story begins in 1916, when it was built as a weekend home for a wealthy family. Since then, this charming stucco, Spanish-style structure has served as staff housing for Aruba’s first hospital, a clubhouse for oil-refinery workers, a private residence, and finally as an elegant restaurant specializing in seafood—although there are plenty of options for carnivores and a few for vegetarians as well. You can dine inside or out, where twinkling lights and lush foliage make for a garden-like atmosphere. Specialties include the seafood paella and sucade lappen , a traditional Dutch beef stew slow-cooked in red wine, herbs, and plenty of butter until it’s fall-from-the-fork tender."

We went for appetizer, main course, and dessert! All three tasted phenomenally. We came during off-season (October) so had no issues walking without a reservation. The place itself was gorgeous and very well decorated. The staff were very attentive and service was impeccable. Definitely on the pricier side, but that's what you expect from most restaurants on the island and the food was well worth it.

What a great find! Located a mile or so from the beach in Nord, this splendid restaurant offers a wonderful menu. It's service was warm, welcoming and efficient and the delightful atmosphere was provided by a 110 year old home and its surrounding gardens. We throughly enjoyed our dinner there and look forward to going back there on our next visit to Aruba.

Booked a last minute reservation and went in the evening. The restaurant vibe is great, I loved the historical home aspect of the space. The drinks and appetizer were great! The food was decent, not the best I had on the island but I would recommend this for the not as adventurous eaters visiting the island.

We decided to try the Tapas portion of the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the food. We tried at least 3/4 of the entire tapas menu and most of it was pretty good (pork belly, summer salad) A few things were just mediocre, and a few weren’t great (calamari was a bit tough etc) (none of the desserts great, most were just mediocre). We would definitely eat here again!

I love the atmosphere at this restaurant. We had a beautiful dinner outside under the stars. But the dinner was very industrial and equal to a chain restaurant ( Denny's). Now if you like Denny's, like a beautiful environment to eat in and pay Michelin Star restaurant prices, then this is the place for you. Personally, I really wish the restaurant had better quality food. With such a beautiful place with amazing history, this place could be the most famous restaurant in the Caribbean if they brought in a Michelin Star chef.

This is place is amazing! We loved the food here got the crispy shrimp & Sucade Lappen (Draadjesvlees) dish. Both were great we shared the dishes my wife & I. She got a berry fiz mocktail to drink & I got a Roy Rodgers both very good as well! The food was delicious probably one of the best food stops on our trip to Aruba! The dessert was awesome Stroopwafel Parfait! 10/10 recommend the dessert it was phenomenal!

The place is nice for a romantic dinner or family dinner but I do feel it’s overrated especially when you look at the prices. We paid $350 for four people and found the food was ‘okay’. We had the cheese croquettes and the carpaccio as a starter which were honestly good! For the mains we had teryaki mushrooms, ribeye steak, shrimp scampi and the shrimp piña colada. There was too much gravy for the ribeye which made it too intense, the shrimp pasta was okay but something you can make yourself at home. The shrimp piña colada was allright but the sauce kind of lacked taste and the mushroom dish was a very simple dish that you can also easily make yourself. And for the price you pay you would expect better plating… The desserts were all delicious, and the cocktails were super yummy. If you do go here, go for a lychee martini. The staff was super kind and really checked in with you which was great. Just wished the mains were more promising!
