Quinta do Caracol

This is a nice boutique style hotel and is a great location. It is a little oasis amongst the surrounding city with beautiful grounds. The room (suite) was perfect and had a small kitchen as well. The minute we arrived the guy at reception did a great job of explaining where the things to see are in the city, along with pointing out all the great restaurants. He was very thorough with hand written notes on a map that he provided. This was very helpful. It's only a 10 minute walk away from much of the action (like the restaurants and bars). Parking is included and is on premises which was nice. It was great going to the Tavira beach (Spit island) as well (a five minute ferry ride if you use the closest port). It is very nominal ferry fee to get there. I would recommend staying here!

Just back from 5 nights at Quinta do Caracol. A little haven of tranquility but still walkable to the centre of Tavira. Rooms large and well appointed. Bed not the most comfortable but acceptable. Beautiful relaxing gardens and although the pool is small it was ideal for a quick dip at the end of the day. plenty of comfortable deck chairs. Very good breakfast. The owner was a delight and passionate about running the home that has been in the family for several generations.

Lovely hotel or apartment hotel with what seems to be separate apartment/rooms with small kitchens and with an outside area or patio or shared garden, own terrace. Dogs are allowed and no charges for pets. Lovely warm welcome with loads of useful information. The site is a ten minute walk to the centre of Tavira. Site is beautifully located close to town and certainly well worth the value.

What a wonderful place to stay. The staff is helpful and kind. Our room was unique - in a good way! The breakfast was wonderful - eggs, bacon, fresh OJ, and way more. The location was good for us. It took about 10 - 15 minutes to walk into town. Two grocery stores within 5 minutes. The grounds are gorgeous. And best of all, for my husband, there is pickleball on site. |Highly recommend.

What a wonderful treat to visit Tavira and stay at this lovely quinta! We were so happy with the peaceful atmosphere and lush greenery we would absolutely stay here again. While not in the middle of town we found that to be a plus as it was a very short walk to the town center. The rooms are super charming and the owners (two sisters) are so helpful and nice! The pool was very refreshing on a hot August day and we found it more relaxing to hang out by the pool than go to the beach lol. Highly recommend a stay at Quinta do Caracol - you will love it!

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff treated us very well and made us feel at home. The Araucaria casita was very nice and cozy, the breakfasts and the staff who prepared them are great, and the place and surroundings are fantastic. We spent a few spectacular days as a couple. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing experience on this hotel, assembly of renovated old farms, in the middle of a paradisiac garden. The hotel personal was really nice and the breakfast was really good. After a long day discovering Tavira and its surroundings, the moment in the pool was really relaxing. We definitely recommend this hotel

Such a lovely garden and friendly service. We sit around the large table under the shade trees after Pickleball. Beautiful little swimming pool. Never stayed over night and can’t comment on the accommodations.
