Quinta Do Mel, a Design Boutique Hotel Albufeira, Portugal

"This rural tourism unit is located near Praia da Falésia and combines tranquility and practicality in an old farmhouse that was rebuilt keeping the traditional architecture and materials. The property has large relaxing rooms and an outdoor pool. Bask by the pool on one of the lounge chairs. The tea room offers a variety of traditional products, most of them produced on site. Breakfast is served with fresh traditional products in a lounge with a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. In addition to the nice beaches nearby, from Quinta do Mel it is also possible to get to all the recreational facilities around the area of Albufeira and Vilamoura, including restaurants, theme parks and stores." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

We (a couple) spent our two-week vacation there and were extremely satisfied. The location is wonderfully quiet and the surrounding herb fields invite you to take a walk. The nearest beautiful beach (Praia da Falesia) is only a 15-minute walk away. Everything is lovingly furnished and cleaned daily. A special highlight is the extremely sumptuous breakfast, with fresh, home-grown products! The entire team is extremely friendly and helpful, you can really relax there! :) |Definitely worth a stay!

Arrived mid morning for a casual brunch which became rather strained given the shocking service. When we eventually got our drinks the teapot was in a disgusting state, lid broken in various places and unsightly dirty cracks. We brought this to the manager's attention who simply shrugged without even offering another lid to keep tea warm let alone a fresh pot. Ordered toast with Portuguese marmalade which was simply a jam spread and the fresh cheese was hardly visible, again this was brushed off. The staff were at loggerheads with each other, in full view of guests. Safe to say won't be going back

We didn’t stay at the hotel but came for apéro and weekend brunch. Absolutely loved the place. The quietness of a countryside with superb views, amazing food ( I had many brunches in my life, this one by far is the most abundant).. lovely service and our daughter loved visiting the garden and watching the animals at the farm.

In an idyllic and quiet rural location just around the corner from the beach buzz, this 3* boutique hotel offers a great indoor/outdoor restaurant with an excellent and very generous brunch served at the table with a view over the farmland for €20/pax plus extras, which for us ended at €30/pax.

My partner and I popped in for a light lunch and some of their freshly picked herbal teas. Absolutely delicious food - their fresh cheese and teas were lovely and complimented by their lavender honey and friendly local cat, who kept us company whilst our food arrived. Set in a beautiful location with seating inside or out, a variety of local honey and spirits for sale, and a well-curated (from what I translated) menu, you will almost certainly find something to enjoy and will not regret your visit!

A true country garden, beautiful and peaceful, lovely scones and service with a smile - I can imagine the rooms are lovely as the hotel is in a stunning stone building with a pool for guests. Great place to go late afternoon to watch the goats being herded - you feel like you've stepped back in time when you come here - almost like being in the Cotswolds in the sunshine!

We went for Easter lunch, the restaurant was very busy with young families and all the way up to oap’s This was our forth time eating here and first time for lunch. Everything was fantastic, service, food and the ambiance. The lamb was exceptional.
