Quinta do Tagus

We stayed at this villa for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, everything felt like a dream. The space was private, peaceful, and beautifully designed—exactly what we needed after all the wedding excitement. 🌿💍 Waking up to the sound of nature, enjoying coffee with a view, and having our own little slice of paradise made this trip unforgettable. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the cozy interiors to the romantic ambiance. The staff was also amazing—warm, helpful, and always respectful of our privacy. We felt truly cared for, which made the experience even more special.

I feel so badly that it's been over a year that I've been meaning to leave a review for this gem! After a major hotel group (Pestana) canceled our reservation that we had made 9 months prior 13 days before our trip (pretty sure they gave it to some Swifties), we were scrambling to find a new place. Enter Quinta do Tagus, where we booked the Panorama room at a ridiculously reasonable price. From there, everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The property was beautiful, the views were exceptional, the food was amazing, and everyone who works here was so friendly and helpful. At dinner on our first night, our waiter (whose name I desperately wish I could remember. George?) told us about the easiest way to get to Lisbon. If you have a car, you drive to the ferry a few miles away and it drops you off super close to some great tourist attractions. My husband and I still rave about how incredibly lucky we felt to have found this place.

Marvellous views across to Lisbon. The hotel is charming and the food , although quite expensive, was delicious and plentiful.|We arrived very late and although the kitchen was closed the reception staff made us something to eat which was very much appreciated. The grounds and pool are lovely.|The track getting to the property could do with some work.

The view of Lisbon across the Tagus River from the property was stunning. The food at the restaurant was high-quality and well-presented. We enjoyed interacting with the staff, who were very accommodating, particularly the server at the restaurant during dinner and Pedro, the afternoon/evening manager. It was an easy drive to the airport to fly out on a Saturday morning, and since we left before they served breakfast, they provided us with to-go boxes the night before. The only two very minor detractors are that the rooms are not very soundproof (we heard the comings and goings of our neighbors, as they probably did us) and the property is not particularly walkable from the town. However, that being said, we would definitely consider staying there again either on the way into or on the way out of Lisboa.

I especially loved the seafood dishes and the perfectly cooked steaks, all paired with a great selection of wines. The service was impeccable, with a team that was both professional and welcoming, ensuring a top-tier experience. Prices are on the higher side, but considering the spectacular location, outstanding food, and exceptional service, it was well worth it. If you're looking for a luxurious dining experience with one of the best views in Lisbon, this place is a must-visit!

A more remote site but with beautiful views. Go here to get away and enjoy the serenity. Food was excellent and the staff worked truely hard for everyone. It is not just a hotel, it is a getaway.

“Fantastic, Relaxing, Healing Experience” Stayed in December 2024 This place exceeded all my expectations! From the breathtaking views and delicious food to the warm and welcoming people, everything was simply perfect. The calming atmosphere made it the ideal getaway for relaxation. The WiFi was also excellent, which was a pleasant bonus. A huge thank you to the owner and staff for creating such a wonderful experience—I will definitely be returning! A couple of minor suggestions: the window blind in the panoramic room was broken, so it would be great if that could be fixed. Also, offering massage services would be a fantastic addition to the overall experience. Overall, this was an amazing stay, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Great place to stay - would recommend! All staff members that I have met have not only been professional but also great characters. Room cleaning was super fast and great. Breakfast was rich in selection and good in taste - pumpkin jam was interesting to try! Front desk staffs were all super welcoming and friendly, they provided some great travel tips and recommendations. Located a little bit away from the city (which gives great city views though), would recommend taking a Bolt and then take a ferry to the city.
