Quinta Margarita Boho Chic Hotel

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was extremely negative. My girlfriend’s gold necklace was stolen during our stay. When we reported the incident, the manager, instead of providing real support, started going through our personal belongings — drawers with intimate clothing, wallets, and suitcases — claiming to be “helping us.” We found this behavior invasive and completely inappropriate. On top of this, we have video evidence clearly showing that the room safe did not close properly. Despite this, the hotel management continues to claim that it works perfectly, denying the obvious. To make matters worse, when my girlfriend left a review, the hotel management replied that “the hotel staff is very reliable, therefore they were not the ones who took the necklace,” clearly suggesting that the theft was invented. This response was highly disrespectful and unacceptable. Finally, right outside the hotel entrance there is a venue playing extremely loud music until late at night: the rooms literally shake, and sleeping is impossible. Between the lack of security, the total disregard for guests’ privacy, and the absence of any tranquility, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel if you are looking for a safe and peaceful experience.

Amazing place very clean and great staff taking care of whatever you need. As others have mentioned it is a bit loud because it’s right in front of the club but there’s nothing they can do about it. Still amazing and would definitely come back. Value is great.

Amazing staff and very helpful! The location is right on 5th Avenue, which is the main street here—so yes, you’ll hear some music, but that’s just part of the area’s vibe. Don’t let the noise reviews discourage you—you can still enjoy a good night’s sleep. Overall, a great place to stay. Recommend!!

I had great stay over there clean, safe and comfortable. The only issue is the noise coming from the outside but it didn’t affect my sleep at all. Pamela at the reception she’s lovely, her smile will make your day ! I recommend the spot if you wanna stay for a couple of nights.

I loved this place!! For places in the area it is REALLY well priced. The rooms looked just like the pics, esp ours that had two levels. the breakfast was small but room service was awesome, the roof and pool were great, great location close to the beach and basically on Quinta. the bar across the street is kinda loud, highly recommend noise machines and earplugs and to exercise caution if you’re a light sleeper, but that’s not something they can control! great service and super cute!!

This hotel has all the makings of an amazing stay in a very nice area of Play del Carmen. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere they try to create is serene, the security is great, morning breakfast is not bad. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this place either. They were VERY accommodating to any and all our needs. When we were arriving late, they waited for us. When we needed extra things in our room, they were delivered within minutes. When we told them we would have to check out really early in the morning and would miss breakfast, they made us two plates of food the night before and brought them up to our rooms so we wouldn’t leave hungry. However, unfortunately for the hotel, I simply cannot give it the full 5 stars, and that is through no fault of the hotel. The problem? Their proximity to at least 3 different clubs, which are open until 3 am. This wouldn’t be an issue if I was going out clubbing myself until 2 am, but if I want to get a full nights rest after a full day of activities, this hotel is not the place for it. The music is so loud it feels like I’m in a bathroom stall in one of the clubs. I realize this is not something the hotel can control, but I have to mention it nonetheless. If you plan on staying out past 1am and won’t be getting to bed till about 2:30-3 in the morning, this hotel is the perfect spot for you. However, if you want to get a full night’s rest, don’t count on it at this location.

The hotel has good facilities, nice rooms and staff were friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave less stars is because my room was bang opposite a loud karaoke bar which went on to the early hours every night. My bed was literally vibrating it was so loud. So no sleep was possible unless you are out till early hours every night.

Great hotel with style and very friendly staff. The breakfast selection is quite limited, and the gay bar across the street is extremely loud until morning, but overall, I would still recommend it.
