Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Staff are friendly and the wine is outstanding. |Rooms are large and contain a high standard of amenities. |The food on the Al La Carte menu is outstanding but unfortunately the fixed menu was slightly disappointing. |The wine tour was fascinating and this vineyard is really forward thinking and environmentally sustainable. Would return without hesitation.

Quinta Nova is beautiful! We loved our stay and would have loved to stay longer. We had one of the terrace rooms. It was cozy and luxurious with an area outside to sit. When we were there it was pretty hot, so we were able to enjoy the pool. We also hiked down to the chapel by the river. We had rented a car and drove it to the property. The drive is not for the faint of heart! I wouldn’t do it at night! We had an early dinner in town one night and also ate at the hotel another night. It would be nice to have another food option at the hotel. We wanted to have lunch but didn’t want to sit in the restaurant and order a full meal. This however, wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Had a pleasant stay at Quinta Nova. The service was amazing from the time we arrived - the staff took care of our luggage while letting us enjoy the view. The setting of the resort is stunning, surrounded by winery’s terrace overlooking Duoro river. We did the wine tasting and had one of the best dinners at the restaurant. Additionally, don’t forget to order Veal burgers if you can! It’s super delicious. This is definitely a kind of Relais Chateaux experience.

The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience with their passion and insight. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just exploring the Douro, this place is a must-visit. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to others.

We visited for a family milestone birthday. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location and the outside spaces and views are exceptional. We did the wine tour and an external Sommelier tour which were great and joined in their 20 birthday celebration walk and picnic. Breakfast was delicious!

Portugal may indeed be suffering from over-tourism... but not at Quinta Nova. Its locale in the Douro Valley is beyond stunning; the interplay of mountains, valley, vineyards and light can take the breath away from even seasoned travelers. The hotel offers both charm and comfort, the restaurant serves food worthy of a trip just for that, and the service is genuinely attentive. Go if you have a chance... and stay longer than the two nights we enjoyed. In short, our favorite place in Portugal!

This hotel and winery were exceptional in every way. The views were breathtaking, the food and wine were out of this world, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the grounds were gorgeous. This was a calming and relaxing vacation topped off with a great massage. We had a very special experience here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

This property is top notch... the views are amazing of the Duoro Valley. The property is pristine with its gardens, lots of outdoor sitting area, so quiet and romantic. The rooms are large as well as tge bathroom and selected a room with outdoor sitting as well. The staff are all amazing.

Pristine vineyard with amazing tour guide , he took us through all of the processes of making wine as well as history of the vineyard and grapes throughout the years of production. We finished up our tour with a private tasting then a beautiful 3 course meal with a wine tasting paired to what you ordered. The servers were attentive and so friendly. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for an exceptional winery expierence with amazing views of Douro valley and the river. I forgot to take photos of the food except desert!

A massive industrialized winery owned by The Amorim family (Portugal'srichest) since 2093, making primarily still wines-according to our guide around 90% of their grapes. We had a cursory winery tour with a group of around 10 people-all Portuguese except my wife and I. It was your basic tour, walking through the winery, looking at machinery, followed by a visit to their little museum (shrine to the olden days) assembled by the winery matriarch. Afterwards, we sat outside the nice wine shop overlooking the river with amazing view and tried three wines-one white, 1 red and 1 port-nothing special to my palet. What IS SPECIAL are the amazing views from the property and the wonderful restaurant Skip the winery and tasting and book in advance a table for lunch. Depending on the menu you can order a wine flight to accompany your lunch-this way you can taste the wines while skipping the highly mechanized and uninteresting winery. Enjoy the panoramic views while enjoying a three course meal with wine (around €75 pp)
