Quinta Real Acapulco (Acapulco, Mexico) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Perched on a hillside above the beach at Punto Diamante, the Quinta Real is one of Mexico’s most elegant luxury hotels, a world apart from the real estate developments built in a hurry elsewhere in Acapulco. Guests check in at street level, greeted with a moist towel and a glass of wine, before descending the stone steps that wind through manicured gardens to the lounge and guest rooms." - Tablet Hotels

I Choose 2024 above because it does not give me an option for 2022, when booked a hotel room for my husband and I, for November 21-Nov. 28, 2022; we paid with a credit card. We had to cancel de reservations because the flights were not coinciding with hotel booking dates. I contacted the office and had several e-mails back and forth with the reservations desk. To date they still have not reimbursed me and now they want an account in Mexico to reimburse me in pesos. What the heck, I don't have a bank account in Mexico, plus I paid with a credit card so I should be reimbursed to my credit card.

Beautiful resort, definitely caters towards family's with kids, especially the pool since kids have their personal toy's, pool floatie's, body boards scattered ALL over the pool area and in the pool too. The food was good, service was a lot better around the pool than in the restaurant. If you want to do anything in Old Acapulco (La Quebrada, Zocalo) it is a 30+ cab ride that coast around $30+ dollars each way.

I have had a long weekend recently with my family but will not recommend this hotel, first of all is super old, rooms are not in good shape, with bad smell and cots for babies were looking like they have been in a war. Then at our check in they have charged us twice and even today after almost 1 month I am trying to get a confirmation that they at least did the return of my money. Called so many times, everytime is same thing : we will get back to you and nobody does... easy to charge you, especially twice but they have no intention to help in sorting this issue that they did. Then when it comes to restaurant and what it offers first is very poor choice and then not tasty at all. The only thing I would say positive is the staff around, they have been super helpful everytime, not reception team. I wouldn`t recommend or go back as it`s too expensive for what it is and what is offering and as experienced anything can happen..

Our honeymoon at the Quinta Real in Acapulco was unforgettable, for multiple reasons. Let me start with the bad: 1. Rooms are quite old and the hotel doesn't seem to be in great condition. Paint is peeling off the walls and furniture is very old in the rooms. 2. Staff coordination is lacking, and it took them almost 30 mins to get us cutlery and plates to our rooms via room service. 3. We found cockroaches multiple times in the room. While these are huge red flags, let me move on to the great: 1. The hospitality of the staff is like no other. Once we raised the above issues, the team did everything to ensure our stay went smoothly. All the staff were very responsive and super helpful. 2. I would like to thank Fernando and Oyuki, and Domingo and Inès for their constant support and help during the stay to make our honeymoon perfect. 3. The pool and view are spectacular and made it the stay of a lifetime, with direct access to the beach as well. If I were to ever return to the hotel, I would do so only because of the staff. The hotel needs to upgrade and ramp up its amenities to compete with others in the area.

I have so many positive things to say that I don’t know where to start. First there are 2 security check points to get into the hotel. Very secure place. When we (family and I) got into the reception area we were given ice cream and a cold towel as temperatures were over 98 degrees Celsius super hot (it was August) this was a last minute reservation as the last hotel was awful so this was a very short notice same day reservation. The staff was very nice and polite. Checking in didn’t take long about 15 minutes. Once I went into the room I was delighted to see the beautiful view of the ocean. The room was super clean and I loved the extra toiletries that were in the bathrooms. There is a safe located in closet along with iron, bathrobe, slippers, hangers and a small bag with needle and thread. I have attached as many pictures as I could. It’s a private beach and there is a security guard protecting the beach for any other party goers from the public side. They also have restaurants in case you get hungry and there food was yummy. I am going back again to stay for a longer time as I only stayed there for 2 days.

The hotel is expensive, around 400 usd per night. The rooms are very old, no update in the last 20 years. The bathroom has no extraction system so when you use it or bathe all heat and odors stay in the room. The breakfast place in the upper part was bad and the do not have enough ir trained servers. The server drooped fruit over my mother and when serving they placed bread on our plates before food. The pool area not enough servers and all the furniture is falling apart. All the building has terrible maintenance. The employees block the elevators for their use and they do not prioritize guests. Terrible place to be, a two star 100 usd hotel tops.

It’s a really nice place to stay. The rooms not new, but very clean and in good condition. The staff at the front desk has to improve their English. The only thing to complain about is, that as a hotel guest, it is not possible to get a sun lounger, because they all blocked, at 8 am I was not able to get one. The thing is, the people place there stuff on the bed and some of them haven’t been back before 2 pm… It looks like, it is all about the money for the pool boy…

Ok so I’m from California but now living in Mexico City. We take a few hours to get to Acapulco. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Acapulco but Quinta Real is the best by far! This is my seventh time in two decades staying at Quinta Real Acapulco. Although they are by the book when it comes to rules here the staff is amazing! They are extremely kind, anticipate your needs, make you feel extremely welcome. Rooms although unchanged other than some USB ports and modern TV is very well kept and clean. Even on the beach they splash water all day to make a cool clean path to the ocean. Cocktails were mixed to perfection and best of all was the dining. Chef here is the real deal. No need to go out because the view from the restaurant is unbelievable. Please know I’m. It exaggerating. These are my real opinions. Anyway please support the last best hotel in Acapulco. My second choice is the Camino Real Acapulco. Great company.
