Best location, and nice service. You can experience very traditional circumstances and good quality food.

Worst hotel experience I’ve had, ever. It may look charming but the service is terrible, valet kept our electric car key causing us to drive all the way back to the hotel after reaching our destination to retrieve the car key to avoid being stranded. The staff did not care about the key situation, they were on the phone and did not apologize for the huge error and inconvenience they caused. The room hair drier did not work, I had to ask for a different one. The doors squeeze loudly that if you stay with other people you wake them up if you open or close a door. I wish the service matched the appearance of the hotel.

Disappointed with my experience 😩. We were in Zacatecas and planned to stay at hotel by the cathedral for the week however family suggested Quinta Real due to it being a 5 star hotel. So we decided to stay half our trip at hotel by the cathedral and end at Quinta Real (We booked the Grand Class King Suite with jacuzzi tub). BTW the jacuzzi jets looked rusty and drained really slow. I’m not 100% bummed about the decision but definitely wont be staying at Quinta Real again. The location is questionable, room smelled dingy, bull ring not impressive, everything is pretty much original so old, and we were charged for 3 aaa batteries 🙄. The staff was all great, food at restaurant was good but the hotel is definitely not worth the price!

On the outside, it looks fabulous. It is partially surrounded by aqueduct and you actually live on the side of the bull ring. Our room faces an inside court yard which took away the view of the bull fighting ring. ( no difference if you stay in another non bull fight ring except for the expensive price ), |Inside , you have a vastly different perspective. Same old baby with a diaper pictures in the hallways and room, the one and only old elevator doesn’t show which floor and when it stops, it shakes and rattles. The room has old and worn carpet, the room is half lit and to not bright enough to read . There is a jacuzzi but we didn’t use it. The jacuzzi is tilted away from the drain so it left a puddle of water. Every time we showered, we stepped into a small puddle of water left from the one who used it before. Our room on the first night has 2 steps between the beds and the bathroom so you have to be careful when you use the restroom at night . There are pigeons within the premise on the outside and pigeons do what pigeons do, they poo and they coo but you won’t smell it and you only see it on the upper floor if the windows are opened . Food ( I looked at the breakfast menu ) is expensive. For that price, you could easily buy 3 breakfasts in a restaurant near the Cathedral. The hotel is about 15 minutes to the cathedral ( good and bad . Good is you don’t hear the bell from the church . Bad is the distance, going uphill from the central area back to the hotel ). ||Not everything is bad however. I have to praise the lady receptionist and Andre, the men at the door that greeted us ( they are not always there . 2 or 3 times we just walked in without anyone at the door and the cleaning staff cleaned our room every day ( but no new bar of soap every day. We stayed for 4 nights and we had one bar of soap to share between 2 persons. Shampoo however is plentiful for me ).||Another good thing is that it has a gym with a sauna which we didn’t use and bottle water and towels . People use the weight and left it on the floor but not one staff came and put it back on the weight rack. ||Even though our room is next to a staircase, it didn’t wake me up. The room is quite dark after turning off the lights . In the bathroom it is so dark that you couldn’t see the fingers. No morning light came in to wake us up.||The bed was comfortable and of decent size. ||It has a small fridge but 3/4 full with drinks . If you drink it, you pay for it. We use the little space there to store fruit. ||Overall :(

Wow, what a treat it was to stay at this hotel that was a bullring constructed in the 1850’s. The service was superb, the restaurant had great food, and the bar was one of the coolest I have been to, the old bull pen. The rooms seem a bit dated but overall an awesome experience. One more benefit is the hotel is located walking distance to the plaza, restaurants, and museum.

The location is perfect oposite the park and within easy walking distance of the historical district. The hotel is tastefully designed and decorated. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, looking out on a charming courtyard. The staff were all excellent. Breakfast was delicious. They provide a valet service for your vehicle at no extra cost. The only downside was the wifi, which was erratic (this seems to be common in Mexican hotels)

my son got married on November 20 there, the wedding was beautiful, everything was spectacular,|| This is a great hotel, for its location is incredibly beautiful, in general it has very good maintenance, it needs an urgent remodeling, we have been more than 3 times here, the first was more than 15 years ago, furniture, carpets, curtains, etc ..., they are the same, If they already looked old now they seem to be more than 100 years old, they don’t look like antiques, they look like furniture from a haunted house 😹.In the bathrooms the showers and toilets could be changed, they are also very old, they would give it a more adoc touch with the hotel category, it is a 5-star hotel, the cost-benefit ratio is not the best. however it is 100% recommended.|| The Camino Real hotels and their brands were generally excellent, top quality hotels, I would have classified them as grand tourism hotels, We, my family and friends have been in some of them in different places in Mexico and sadly they aren’t even the shadow of what they were not many years ago, the appearance in general has dropped a lot, hopefully they will return to the category they had without increasing their rates

Just spent one night atvroom #411, best view unto the bull fight ring and right next to the presidential suite. We don't like carpets in hotel rooms, but that is just our preference. The balcony sliding door should be fixed. Other than that the room was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good walking distance from downtown. Parking available. Very quiet lication. We didn't like music they had on at night in the bullring, now that ther's noise everywhere it's a shame that everybody at the hotel has to listen to the music. Tried the bar and were not convinced. Mezcalina had red fruit but no mezcal in it. They were out of mint so no mojito and the piña colada was more froth than actual drink. American breakfast was included in our price and we were able to chose from their entire menu, very tasty and beautifully presented. All in all it is really a spectacular place!
