The cafe is inside a cute old house with very spacious patio behind. The interior layout is a bit odd, but in a good way- each corner feels like a cozy den from your home. Even for full brunch menus, you order over the counter, and it keeps your morning simple and casual. I visited twice and I liked how simple the menu was, and they were solid. I enjoyed my simple breakfast in the spacious patio.

I really loved the two cappuccini and two egg breakfast with sausage links and multigrain toast I had here. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The vibe is casual, seating is comfortable. Opens early, which I like.

Nice coffee shop with Noem Chomsky's Reader on the shelves.

Menu and pictures are misaligned. There are no poached eggs on the menu and most food is pre made and reheated. Food was good, but menu small.

Went for brunch today and there was hardly one else there, which made me a little concerned, but I think people just don’t know about this gem. The food was so good. This is the best brunch Ive had Charlottesville. Everyone I was with enjoyed the food. This is listed as a coffee bar but the food appears to be cooked fresh out of the pink grouse kitchen, and it was amazing. Highly recommend!

Pleasant presentation, plates, seating, and good tasting food.

The scrambled eggs were overcooked and too salty to eat which was surprising given the price. Potatoes were cooked well but also far too salty. The sourdough toast was delicious. But for $16-$20 a plate not really worth it.

I have visited Quirk Cafe often over the last couple of years. I love the decor (inside and out), and their GF muffins are a family favorite. And Colleen in the cafe, and Julian (now the food service manager) are some of the best humans I know. Recently, Quirk made some shifts to the menu and the food went from fine to GREAT! The black rice and broccoli rabe salad today was to die for. If you haven't been to Quirk Cafe recently, it might be time to give it a try!
