A nice gallery attached to a fun hotel concept. Some nice pieces in the attached hotel lobby, and an overall well designed contemporary space. The gallery flows from the lobby space well, and has a variety of small works and gift shop items intermixed. Display was well thought out, and highly curated. There is an overall clean feel with pops of pink that tie everything together, from the work and products on display to the packaging, signage, and selection of two dimensional pieces that support the overall feel of the space. Products range from handmade one of a kind works to inexpensive production items (like sunglasses and plated fashion jewelry). There is a selection for every price range. There are two traditional gallery spaces: one as you enter the gallery from the street and one below the central space.

This review is for the coffee bar. The staff there were unfriendly and did not communicate to us that we had to order from the bar until we had been standing there for 5 minutes. A simple "hi there, you can order from the bar!" Would have been nice. They also were fully masked (why?) And it was very hard to understand them because they weren't talking loud enough.

The place is not big but it has a great merchandizing.

The entrance to this boutique and art gallery is through the Quirk Hotel lobby, where Everything. Is. Pink. Even the paper receipts are millenial pink. The artwork (all for sale), jewelry, candles, and beautifully crafted plant pots are all curated with an attention to detail and form. And there are Quirk tee shirts! In pink, what else?👜

Great place to grab a coffee and pastry, and look at some quirky art. Recommended!

Great array of regional art (some of it is excellent!) and super nice people.

Yelp
I love coming to the Quirk Gallery. Pink is my favorite color, so that already gives me a great dopamine fix. Beyond that, they have extremely unique and charming gifts here. It isn't cheap, but a lot of it is artisan-made. The Gallery is located inside the hotel, it's a mix of a gift shop and a gallery. The Gallery itself is down some stairs in the gift shop section and also near some windows on the same level as the gift shop. They always have rotating artists. In the past, the downstairs part only had art up, but it now looks like they're putting up some things to sell as well. It's free to visit, so if you don't want to buy anything that's ok. The people who work here are always super welcoming and kind. I highly recommend stopping by.

Yelp
Fun, bright gift boutique and gallery attached to the Quirk Hotel. If I lived in Richmond, this would definitely be my go-to for gifts for young kids. Great selection of jewelry, home goods, and candles/scents to please lots of types, with a range of price points. Friendly staff have found special things from never-before-seen brands, including from local producers. Grab a latte to go from the coffee bar in the hotel and then browse the shop and gallery for a while. Only quibble: I would recommend that the greeting cards be placed on a lower level because some of them are hard to see as a 5'3" person. :)

Yelp
This Gallery has unique rotating exhibits, but I really love it for the gallery shop. Co-owner Katie Ukrop maintains a great collection of jewelry, textiles, sculpture, home decor, paper goods and "tchotchkes" from the Richmond area and across the United States. This was one of the first stores in the area to carry reproduction Miriam Haskell jewelry. The owners also produce a few of their own items including pop-art-ish plates with silhouettes on them and tote bags featuring prints of old Richmond postcards. I've also seen funky cameras, felt handbags, earrings made from recycled tin and a selection of note cards and stationery that always makes it hard to leave without something. Most recently I'm in love with the little reusable cloth sandwich and snack bags featuring bold patterns; the glass water bottles and wine glasses that are made to resemble their plastic counterparts; and the wooden "Not Plastic Cutlery" that comes in packaged in a cloth napkin. The fun selection makes this a great place for buying gifts or just treating yourself. If you're there to shop, make sure you check out the front of the store and the room in back behind the main gallery display. There's lots of good stuff waiting for you.

Yelp
This is a must-see if you're in Richmond! Why? It's free, it's cool, and the gift shop is wonderfully curated. I ended up buying some great jewelry, and was very tempted to get a drink in the hotel bar next door.

Yelp
Cool and eclectic shop. I have easily passed this place on multiple of occasions. During Broad Appetite we finally stopped in. Purchased a few cards, a bookend and candles. They choices are top quality and the people in the store were super friendly. Great spot to get a friend a gift that isn't easily found in the major shopping malls. Definetely a place I will continue to pop into for something unique for the house or for a great gift for friends.

Yelp
Really nice space, but but I wasn't particularly impressed with the exhibit for yesterday's First Fridays. Probably better to go on a non-First Friday. Too many wannabes dying to be cool.

Yelp
I love Quirk for the fact that it's part art gallery and part super adorable shop (similar to Megan M). I love popping in during First Fridays and perusing the fantastic jewelry and gift items. The space itself is adorably decorated; it's bright and airy and totally welcoming. It has plenty to offer without being too stuffed with items. It's really the perfect balance of artistic displays and enticing goodies. From oversized sunnies to yummy scented soaps to quirky gifts to that knickknack you never knew you wanted by now you have to have, Quirk's got it all. If you're looking for a fun and funky gift, but you're not sure exactly what you want, you should totally check out Quirk. My guess is something might jump off the shelves and catch your eye.

Yelp
Super cute little gallery and gift shop off Quirk Hotel's lobby. I love all of the local art and unique gifts displayed in the small but airy gallery. You'll find anything from original art, sunglasses and greeting cards to prints, books and scented candles. Cute pink "Virginia is for Lovers" tees - perfect gift for visiting friends and family! Items priced from $-$$$$$.

Yelp
I came here some weeks back with my design class for a little class trip. When I first walked in here, I noticed that it's a real girly place. I kinda didn't want to write a review about it...lol. There was this one painting towards the middle right side, where it had a large painting of a beach. That really caught my attention out of the all the art work there. Other than the art, It's not really my type of place since It's for girls. They do have some cool looking jewelry and gift items. All in all...I would suggest this place to girls akatek1

Yelp
This place is my go to when I need to get a gift for someone (along with Mongrel in Carytown). Their inventory is always different which I really appreciate. Prices are super affordable on some things (like super cute sunglasses) but expensive on other items (notebooks and things). The employees are always super sweet though and very helpful with suggestions.

Yelp
This shop had so many unique things and the staff was incredibly helpful. If you like millennial pink this is your store.

Yelp
Quite the place. The elaborate installation piece, which fills the whole gallery, perfectly embodies the essence of a gift shop trying to be a pretentious art dump. 6.5/10

Yelp
I went to Quirk Gallery with my boyfriend to browse on First Friday and also meet some friends to drink on the rooftop and was immediately made uncomfortable by the two women working the cashier of the gift shop. I entered the gallery shop holding a necklace I bought outside at First Friday and went to the long mirror to put it on. From the moment I entered, I was being eyed and whispered about by the cashiers. When I got to the mirror, one of the cashiers kept staring at me while the other stood near me, obviously side eyeing me as if I was stealing. I was just putting on my own necklace and hadn't even been there for over 2 minutes. It was so obvious and the worker kept getting closer and giving me looks. It was honestly fucked up and rude. I shouldn't be made to feel like a thief for using a mirror in your shop. After being stared at, my boyfriend and I went to the cashier who stared at me and asked for directions to the rooftop and received a rude tone with instructions. It was just weird. I'm not cool with it. Seriously, hire better people.

Yelp
They have an awesome selection of things to look at and buy! I wish I had enough money to purchase everything in Quirk!

Yelp
Really cute little shop/gallery attached to the Quirk Hotel. It's pretty tiny but they have some great little gifts and jewelry! I'll definitely be back next time I need a birthday present or baby gift!
