Great course. The course design is challenging enough for scratch golfers but still enjoyable for 30hc Very nice grass for the tee box, fairways and fluffy rough. Most areas out of the rough are playable natural sand. unfortunately the greens were just aerated when I played but still worth it. No discount just a store credit that equals a hat due to outrageous proshop prices July mid day, was about $300 plus $75 club rentals

I have played at Quivera at least 7 times. Never gets old. Beautiful course and great employees!

Google
Bucket List Course. If you're on the fence about playing - do it. Only complaint is the egregious pro shop pricing. The service and offerings are A+ and in alignment with ultra-private clubs of similar caliber.

Google
Simply amazing views. Some target golf but it’s fun. With the views and service it’s a five star. Greens were perfect as well.

Google
Amazing golf course. Service and staff were great. Range was great with plenty of room. The course is in great shape. Very difficult course with lots of creative holes. Especially a few that are on the side of the cliff. Views everywhere. Challenges on every hole. Worth every penny. Comfort stations were very nice with good food and snack options. Only critique would be practically no cart paths and signage was sometimes non existent so we guessed where we were going to the next hole. Overall great round of golf.

Google
Excellent golf course in pristine condition. The views are unreal and worth the price of the round alone. The comfort stations lived up to the hype. Highly recommend this experience as it's unlike any other public golf experience I've had. The oceanfront holes were amazing. There was a bit of an eyesore with with all the residential construction going up around the course but the course itself was top notch. the stretch of holes between 5 and 13 might be the best group of holes i have ever played. this is a unique layout with enough variety to make almost every hole memorable. There was a couple of things that bothered me with the process. First, I had an 11:15 tee time and was rushed off the range at 10:45. I had hit about 10 wedge shots and the guy on the range asked if I was ready and said the others were waiting on the tee. Well I wasn't ready but alright. Secondly the lady in the proshop was not friendly. My girlfriend came with me thinking it would be no problem for her to ride along. At first they balked at that request, then I offered to pay a rider fee and they took it ($50 for a rider, fine). I get it they don't want riders and want to keep the pace up, okay. Then I had to buy her a expensive collared shirt... Which I was okay with until we got paired with a lady in socks and sandals playing golf LOL. As far as I know, socks and sandals are not proper golf attire at any respectable golf club so I wasn't sure why they were sticklers about the shirt collar....but I digress. The merch is incredibly marked up as well ($212 for a peter millar polo that is normally $115). In short, golf course excellent... Management and staff could use some work, especially the pro shop. all the staff on the actual course was great and treated us well. I was not treated very well compared to the rest of my stay at Pueblo bonito.

Google
“Prettiest walk in golf” said Jack Nicklaus - and he wasn’t lying. I have played at least six times here. Friendly staff. Challenging course. Amazing comfort stations (food, beverage and bathrooms) every 4 holes or so. It is expensive, but if you take full advantage of the driving range and all the free food and drinks at the comfort stations, you’re not doing so bad. The pro shop has a full selection of beautiful shirts and hats to take home a souvenir - and most people do - given their experience at the course and Quivira’s sharp logo. Pro tip 1: it does get windy in the afternoons, in case you care about your score…but the price drop is nice. Pro tip #2: make sure you have an ample supply of balls - you are going to lose a few! Pro tip #3: the outdoor restaurant/bar at the clubhouse is the little known gem of Pueblo Bonito….the indoor restaurant (steak house) is awesome too, but only open for dinner and it is no secret.

Yelp
We stayed at the Sunset resort last week, which is a great resort if not the best in the area, and chose Quivara as 1 of our 2 golf outings for the trip . Pros: -Great (breath taking) views as some holes are nestled into the cliffs -Greens were great condition -Fairways were great condition, although some holes could have used a little trim (i.e. holes 5 & 16). Definitely not a deal breaker as the rest of the course was in great condition. -Comfort stops: 3 pit stops, which include snacks at 2 of the stops and lunch at the other. Drinks were provided too at all stops. -Challenging layout. The front 5 is pretty straight forward, but the 6-9 and the back 9 are all tough, with lots of blind shots. -Great staff Comments: -The Hurricane back in July, did some real damage to some parts of the course, specifically the tee box on the 1st hole and the fairway on the scenic 6th hole were washed away. These holes were converted to par 3's as they restored the fairways. Not so much a ding against the course, just a note.

Yelp
What a nice restaurant with a nice view . This restaurant is clean. The servers are professional, making sure that you have everything you need. The food is tasty , the crème anglaise was on point, the mimosa. I love pineaple juice and they were able to make a mimosa with pineaple juice.

Yelp
Head pro Fernando would not let my wife ride with me or watch me play. He then cancelled my tee time when I argued about their policy. Complete disaster

Debbie M.

Yelp
Staff was rude and unfriendly which was surprising because it was the off season. There were a few beautiful holes but there was a ton of construction (that you can tell is going to obstruct the views). There was also quite a bit of dead grass, unpaved cart trails and poor signage. Friend and I wanted to ride with our husbands - we were wearing nice sundresses but told we had to wear a collared shirt - (no exceptions) but we could buy one in the pro shop for $125. Ironically when I went to write review, i found multiple pics of people wearing tanks or t-shirts. We finished up at 2:55pm and went to the bar to grab a drink. Stood there ignored for over 5 minutes despite only one other couple in the bar who already had drinks. Bartender finally came over to take our order but informed us that 'all-inclusive' ended at 3pm (it was 3:04). Will not be back.

Yelp
Upgrade to 3 stars from my previous review of 1 star from last years horrible experience to this years much better experience. I learned from last year how to deal with this place and the best way to enjoy it. There is a learning curve to be sure on having a successful and less expensive reservation experience. 1) Don't make your reservation directly with the clubhouse as they will give you the absolute highest prices on green fees. 2) Only make your reservation at the concierge desk at the resort AFTER you arrive at the resort. This will insure you get the very best pricing in greens fees and the best availability. If I recall correctly we paid about $150 for afternoon green fees and $70 for clubs. A golf cart was included. We stayed at the Monte Cristo estates villas this time around and so I felt the shuttle to and from our villa was perfect, timely and prompt. Our all inclusive plan this time included lunch and drinks at the clubhouse before our round at noon. Although the power went out after we ordered so it was a bit hot without air conditioning inside the clubhouse. The course itself still had some surrounding construction but it seemed to be less construction than last year. Some of the fairways on the back 9 seemed to be under aeration process, but that's to be expected this time of year. It was only bad on about the 10th hole if I recall correctly. After that all seemed in good shape. The 3 respite stations were well staffed and well stocked with everything you could want. Restrooms were nice and clean. Course wasn't too crowded in the afternoon. We got on around 12 pm or so and even with the respite station stops and a slow 4 some ahead of us it only took about 4 hours to do 18 holes. Surprisingly it wasn't unbearably hot like I expected due to some nice ocean breezes here and there. A challenging and fun and scenic ocean view course that won't disappoint no matter your handicap. There is something for everyone here. The pro shop is ridiculously expensive... with the average ladies shirt priced at around $115. Ladies dresses were close to $200. I have paid less at Pebble Beach for similar items recently. We had some non golfing relatives ride along with us in a separate golf cart just to enjoy the views and cool respite stops. Although I warned them of the strict policy for "collared shirts" at this course, my sister in law instead wore a nice cool flowing dress. When the pro shop told her she could not ride in the cart without a collared shirt (implying that she would be required to purchase one from the pro shop there), I luckily came prepared with one of my zippered lightweight golf jackets with the TPC logo on it and handed it to her to wear instead of buying a $115 golf shirt there! Once we left for the first tee she removed the lightweight jacket and absolutely nobody else was on the course at that time either in front or back of us to see it. A bit of a scam if you ask me, as the same thing happened last year with my daughter in law who rode along in the cart. Only that time I did not have my golf jacket with me so she had to buy one of their overpriced shirts. It's not like either my sister or daughter in law were wearing tank tops and jeans with holes in them. I'm both cases they were wearing nice resort wear /dresses. I don't know, I was just annoyed by the ridiculous pro shop prices I guess. Anyway, I will visit again next time I'm in town. Nice course but you just need to be aware of some of the quirks with their random pricing and rules.

Yelp
We did not play golf, but the course looked incredible!! We did however LOVE our breakfast so much that we returned the next evening for dinner!! The food and service were impeccable!! The crab cakes were a great way to start off dinner. The filet was the best filet I have ever had!! The food and service both could not have been better!

Yelp
This review has to do with the reservations department and specifically , Jaime Fonseca. Our family has been coming to Pueblo Bonito and Quivira for the last 5 years and have loved it, but what Jaime did recently was fraudulent and illegal. Periodically, an employee named Jaime Fonseca from the reservations department has reached out via email regarding reservations and to book certain things at the resort. I recently responded to his email asking about what rates were at Quivira Golf Club and if he could help us book a tee time for 3 players for our stay in December 2023. He responded with the rates(see pic below). I asked him, if we paid today, could be book a 7:45am tee time(prime time) for the cost of mid morning round(which would be $296). We have been here many years and with various things at the resort(such as all inclusive) they give you one price and you can normally get a "special deal" or negotiate the price down some. Jaime responded yes, he could honor that if paid today. I again emailed him to confirm the number for the 3 players requested ($296 x 3 = $888, see screenshot below) and he confirmed thats correct. When he called me about 30min later to get the payment info, I one more time confirmed on the phone with him that $888 would be charged to my card, and he said yes. I look at my credit card statement the next day, and $1,188 was charged to my card. Even if he(or the golf course) mistakenly charged me the prime time rate for our 3 players, that would still be $180 less than $1,188.....I have no idea where that $1,188 number came from(maybe he added an extra $300 personal tip for himself?), but I immediately notified my bank and called Jaime. Of course, when calling reservations, no one could transfer for me to him, and his quick responses via email turned to be very slow. He now says it was a misunderstanding, but has not offered a refund for $300+ he overcharged me. I have called the reservations dept multiple times to speak to a manager, and I keep getting the "our supervisor will call you back" but no one has. I hate to be the person to post negative stuff on social media, but I don't know how else I will get Pueblo's and Jaime's manager's attention to fix this mistake on their part. I want to keep the tee time at the agreed upon price, is that too much to ask?

Yelp
This is hands down the prettiest golf course in Cabo, absolutely worth every peso! Some of the holes are jetting out over the ocean and only for the serious golfer or the one with a few balls to spare... I'm definitely on the 'I may have lost that lil guy on that last hole'. But there are plenty of less difficult holes to enjoy a fully rounded round of golfing and vacationing. There's a gorgeous historical site located on this course as well, it's like a secret gem, truly. It's a must if you're lucky enough to find yourself in Cabo country!

Yelp
Beautiful course, super well kept, kind and friendly staff. I will admit, I had a little sticker shock at first at the price- what I did not know was that all the food and drinks I wanted on course were also included. The views were crazy, the course did not have any issues or bad spots (a little construction going on- near the first few holes, but that doesn't last throughout the round). The layout is challenging, but very playable- even for mid handicappers. The "comfort stations" located at every 4 holes were epic. Fresh made food (some of the best food I had in cabo was legitimately on the course) , with cooks- real cocktail options, beer to go. Bring a couple extra extra dollars to tip - bartenders, cooks, club service- these guys and ladies are all so friendly, but they do work for. Ana Jimenez was also very friendly, and she made my trip and booking very easy. I'm glad I got to play here, and would definitely return.

Yelp
Best golf course I have ever played. Course is kept in pristine condition. Very fast greens and narrow fairways make for a challenging day on the links. The views are just breathtaking. I love the course's unique layout. Only part that sucked was the construction and the 17th hole was changed into a par 3 because of construction. The 17th green wasn't even really a green.

Yelp
Worth the money. Course is excellent. Food every 5 holes. I mean the drinks are free. Just book it

Yelp
The course is beautiful. I am a 4 handicap and this course was truly a gem and an unforgettable playing experience. We were able to get on because we stayed at the Waldorf Astoria (formerly resort at pedregal). 1-star for pushy staff - 5 stars for an amazing course. Btw, the greens are too slow for me. THE GOOD - The course is one of a kind. The pictures online do not a do any justice - you have to play in person. It is gorgeous. I've played Pelican and Trump (PV) more times than I can count (Pelican member for 4 years) and this course is hands down far superior. - The Marshall (ex pat) on hole 5. He was incredibly helpful, although he didn't believe me that I could hit the green on 5 from the tips. The hole is actually pretty easy. I took a 3wd (normally hit 310 yrds) and put it in the middle - the fairway naturally feeds balls to the green. Boom eagle ! Thank god he is up there supervising because the drop off from the fairway is a death sentence. He also helps increase the pace of play - we played through an asshole on 1 who was teeing off from the women's tees. In all my life, I have never seen a grown man hit from the reds ‍. There are people on the course that are so oblivious - just play through. You'll probably have to hit into them because they are mesmerized by the immaculate scenery. I like to add comments when driving past them like, "don't waste your money!" - fairways were in awesome condition. I hit my purest irons here because the course is partially built on sand dunes. - comfort stations. The course is all inclusive so the booze and food is free. The food is awesome. Wait to eat until 9 - it literally is an oasis in the middle of the desert. - Remoteness. The course is so incredibly quite. - other non-ocean holes. These are super fun too. Raised tee-boxes. I'm not a huge fan of blind shots from the tee and this course actually made me like them. THE BAD - pushy, pushy, pushy sales people and staff. They really want you to buy real estate or a timeshare. The women in the pro shop wouldn't stop. I'm a developer so I'm used to sales people as I deal with them everyday. I had to tell her to stop. - Dude at the range. We were the only ones on the range. He walked up after a few practice swings to clean our clubs which I initially thought was nice. But then he wouldn't leave and watched every shot and critiqued it. Wtf???? Learn some etiquette and go away. I'm hungover af and need to hit 50 half swings just to be in the right mindset. He was asking me why I was taking so long to warm up. Incredibly rude. TIPS - Bring a lot of balls. I lost 3 balls which were only on blind holes but the average golfer will easily go through a dozen. - blind spot holes. Don't try to cut corners if it's your first time. The fairways are elevated which makes it even harder to be a hero. Just hit it straight and take a par.

Yelp
If you're looking to have the most fun golfing on planet earth, then look no further. In a recent trip to Cabo I booked a tee time for four at Quivera Golf Club and was very excited to play. Just note, the greens fee was very pricey but, worth every penny. A Jack Nicklaus designed course complete with four comfort stations, it's a level of service and quality of golf unlike I've ever experienced before. My pictures won't do this place justice but, the majority of the course is set along the pacific ocean with breathtaking views. The course itself was in perfect condition and played just as it should have. The comfort stations I eluded to earlier were insane. Complimentary top shelf liquor, homemade tacos, cuban cigars and ice cold Mexican beers were being handed out like they were going out of style. Needless to say, we had a great time. Such a good time in fact that it caught up with me a bit and I went 38 on the front and a 52 on the back. That's tequila for ya ;) I'll be back the next time I'm in Cabo for sure as it was one hell of an experience. Muchas Gracias!

Ryan W.

Yelp
This place is terrible. We arrived to our tee time after the course being closed for three days due to a hurricane and they made us pay for the one guy who's flight got canceled. They said we should have called and emailed, which we did, and no one answered. Also, emailed about the replay rate and they responded 95 dollars. The only way that works is if the tee sheet is open according to them making us pay full price for the second round. Tee sheet was completely open due to many flights being canceled from the hurricane. Don't waste your time here! Head to ranch Cabo San Lucas or puerto los Cabos that are 10x better from an experience standpoint.

Yelp
My fiance and our friend went to golf and they wanted me to join so I can see the beautiful course. When we got there Luis greeted us and asked for how many, I assumed I would pay to ride but then he said they didn't have enough carts. I was fine with that but then by the 9th hole the there was workers playing the course and rushing them to get to the next hole. They asked Luis why they were told I couldn't come if there is plenty of carts left? Luis then responds I'm in charge and I make the calls and I said no she can't come.

Yelp
The most beautiful course I have ever been to. The views were amazing and they took great care of us! Arturo made the BEST margarita we have ever had. Will be back!! Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience!

Paul P.

Yelp
Great day of golf, staff are amazing the course is challenging but fair. Lots of rest stations with cold refreshments and food. Only concern is kids whipping around in carts on the golf course cutting people off and being a complete nuisance. With this as a premiere course it is unacceptable - if I had known I would not have played especially with the rates they charge. They should repay our green fee and club rentals.

Yelp
Spectacular views from this track. I liked the comfort stations (haven't found anything similar in Cabo). However, I liked the design of Palmilla better and the facilities at Cabo de Sol are superior. The Tee boxes and fairways were immaculate however the greens had recently been aerated which I believe cost me 3 to 5 strokes (right thing to do I believe was to offer a discount on the green fee for the inconvenience). The track has multiple holes with blind shots making it impossible to correctly align your shot and difficult to track and find your ball. Half the cart paths are dirt/sand roads, I don't know if they were going for a natural rustic look but to me it appeared unfinished/under construction. At $100 over other courses it is still worth playing once but I would be hesitant to return regularly.

Yelp
BREATHTAKING! My mom and I followed behind my dad & his friend as they played the course to take in some views ($50 each for a "ride along"). We did get our own cart however so that was a plus! Coming from someone who does not golf personally I still can appreciate the beauty & exquisiteness of this jack Nicklaus signature course. Majority of the courses were along the Pacific Ocean, cliff side! This was insane to just see, and even more fun to play! The comfort stations located throughout the course are perfect for a mid-round snack or to add some extra fun into your round ie tequila! Staff is 12/10 on all levels of hospitality & friendliness. It's pricey to play & get a tee time.. but it's worth every dollar. This is the best of the best!!!

Yelp
One word AMAZING. Just how you have to put Pebble Beach on your bucket list, Quivira is a must. Spectacular views, great snack bars every 4 holes and amazing staff members. I have golfed their several times and will continue to do so when I'm in Cabo.
google avatar

Yelp
Kudos to the staff and course management! Excellent service on all three rest area with drinks and appetizers

Sonny C.

Yelp
Some of the world's finest golfing. Seriously a treat just to even ride around. The staff is professional yet very friendly and work for your benefit as best as possible. If you're ever in Cabo, make it an effort to golf 18 holes. It might be a bit pricey but there's ways around it. Like take a (timeshare presentation but make sure to say NO lol)

Yelp
Having played Quivera two years ago I was excited to share the experience with my wife while visiting Cabo this Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, while the course is still beautiful, they are over booked and there is construction all around the course diverting many pathways, so the course rangers were rushing us through which caused us to miss the simple pleasures of their 9th hole rest area with free tacos and refreshments. Turns out to compansste for frustrations with this situation they were offerring pro shop rebates to players from their resort but not others. When we questioned the manager about that practice he rudely proclaimed Quivera is a private course and we dont belong there. So we give a five star course three stars because its poorly managed and perhaps under financial stress too.

Sophia Y.

Yelp
Beautiful course, lovely people working at rest stops (thank you so much). Low review for marshall who kept telling us girls we were late but people in front of us were on delay. Also, the women's clubs were too cheap to pay $75. Overall great experience thank you for all the employees at the rest stops!!
