Booked a loft which I understand has stairs but all the bathrooms are upstairs. This made Having someone who is unable to climb stairs multiple times a day a challenge. The restaurant breakfast was blah! After the 3rd day my 15 year old son decided that he would rather not eat breakfast. There was No jamaican food other than porridge and maybe plantain on some days. |Staff was pretty rude in the restaurant. The couch downstairs in the sitting area was hard. The balcony furniture looked like donated kitchen dining room chairs. |The pool (if that’s what you want to call it) closes very early on the weekends (I believe at 11 or 12). |The bartender (I forgot his name) was very nice. The Jamaican breakfast which we had to pay for was good. |The location was good for what we needed to do.

This Hotel and their staff were outstanding! My father and I were coming to urgently visit my elderly grandmother and they were so kind and upgraded our room reservation to a bigger two floor / two bedroom suite as a complimentary gesture. I can't thank them enough for their compassion and personable hospitality. The rooms were also clean, modern, updated, and luxurious. They were respectful and made our visit go smoothly without any stress. Thank you, your hard work does not go unnoticed.

I spent 5days in this comfortable space of a hotel and was taken care of enough by some pleasant people Susanne Glenvile Nakia Absolutely pleasant and personable They add a peace of mind and a touch of joy each time they take care of my wife and I. From checking in to checking out everyone was absolutely pleasant My only issue was that my tv didn't work for the first three days of my stay and I was only there for 4days I had to call to check in on whats the issue 7 times. I understand sometimes Flow might not work the way it should But it damages the experience one pays for as thats a amenity lost. On the third day that's when a official note was place under door apologizing Other that that Very good experience otherwise

R Hotel is advertized as a 4-star hotel. Don't expect the same quality as typical for 4-star hotels. Maybe it varies from room to room. Here is what we experienced. 1. Only one hanger. When I requested more, they brought 10 different hangers, some of them just a naked wire. 2. No hair dryer. I had to request it, and I was told that not all rooms have it. 3. We had a "de lux" apartment for 4 guests, with a kitchen. Not enough plates and cutlery for all guests. No pots and pans (you can request to have them brought to your room). 4. No TV channels installed on the rom TV. Must be installed by their technician. We didn't want anyone being in our room and doing something that should have been done before we came. 5. Leaked batteries in the TV remote. 6. Strange noises coming from the toilet. The whole night. 7. The pool on the 5th floor is a one short, narrow line for one swimmer. Laughable. 8. The complimentary breakfast was OK, no complaints. 9. Washer and drier in the room. This was the best feature, by far. Helped to dry our clothes after being surprised by a tormenting rain. Big plus. Definitely below the advertized rating; however, within the walking distance from the Bob Marley museum, so at least that worked well for us.

I'm from the UK and spent a few weeks in Jamaica recently. The hotel should be labelled a 3 star not 4. It's just okay, nothing 4 star about it. There's no food or drinks for guests at this hotel after 4pm each day. At check in, I was told food and drink is available until 7pm each day, and was given a welcome pack stating the same, but this randomly changed one day to 4pm. Also, You have to go downstairs and ask for your room to be cleaned. They'll do it but I would have thought that every 2-3 days they'd know that this may need to be done without having to be asked. We even had to pay for water after the two small water bottles in my room finished. It's weird because the water was replaced for free after the room was cleaned/serviced, but as stated, I didn't know that the room is not cleaned/serviced without asking so when we wanted water one morning, which was before I realised you have to ask for cleaning, we had to pay for it. Also, the gym is closed from 2pm, sometimes it opens at 8am sometimes from 10am, usually a 4 star hotel has 24 hour access to its gym or at least consistent hours each day from morning until night. Also the pool here seems to more be for show, noone is really allowed to swim up and down in it, but it's too small for that anyway so I guess I kinda understand why. The only good things about the hotel is that the rooms are spacious and presentable, parking is free and it's a 7 minute walk from Devon House which is home to the most delicious patties in the world. If you're looking for a very basic hotel experience, you'd be fine here but if you're expecting a 4 star luxury comfortable experience, you'll be as disappointed as me if not more. I'm lucky that my family are jamaican and I have local friends living in Jamaica so I didn't have to rely on hotel services to enjoy my holiday, I eventually just used this hotel as a place to sleep only, and sorted out food, gym and other activities elsewhere...There's also the 100US dollar deposit they take at check in that I'm still waiting to get back. It's been 3 days so far since I've checked out and nothing yet.

The single most underwhelming and horrible hotel experience I've ever had in Jamaica. Our check in was over a hour late.there pool which is the only reason why we booked because our kids have a pool at home close at 5pm . In a tropical country in a land lock area like Kingston!!! That's super hot. Went back to the pool at 9am when front desk claims its open they have a big sign its closed. The restaurant Also closes at 5pm. The TV in the room doesn't work the front desk lady gave us a bunch of none sense instructions and none of it worked. I'm a techy so I promise if it was working I would figure it out. The plugs in the room didn't work. Put the kids tablet on charger over night didn't charge at all. The room require a card to turn the lights on in the room and go in the elevator. Did the front desk explain any of this no. I saw about 10 guest get stuck in the elevator because of sheer lack of customer service skills. Google took us in a circle 5 times before we realized it was In the back ! If I could give this hotel a 0 star I would. On the upside the hotel smell nice .

Please stay away from this hotel. They are too money conscious. They just want to overcharge and overcharge. Very unprofessional manager that needs anger management. Stayed here 4 times and they never get anything straight. Please save your hard earned money and go elsewhere. Check-in is always horrible. Broken toilet, ants everywhere and bad customer service.
