My husband and I booked our trip to Kingston to celebrate his birthday, and had the awesome privilege of staying at the R Hotel from November 30th to December 6th, 2025. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. BEARING IN MIND THE DEVASTATION THAT HAS HIT OUR COUNTRY.|Every department, the restaurant, the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and the gate security, demonstrated a level of professionalism and genuine hospitality that is rare. The entire team operates with an elevated standard that deserves recognition.||Front Desk & Guest Experience|Special thanks to Shamoya and Vennissa, their guidance on transportation and Uber services was invaluable. The reassurance that they gave us, allowed us to trust them completely with our safety during our late-night outings, thats something we did not take lightly. The knowledge, composure, and sincerity they displayed created a sense of comfort and security that set the tone for our entire vacation. Our interaction with Deneissa was absolutely phenomenal. She embodies graciousness, efficiency, and a warm spirit that made us every feel personally attended to.||Restaurant & Culinary Team|Our meals were freshly prepared, breakfast , was always authentic, the choices were either, a Jamaican fragrant, flavorful, and consistently satisfying one or a Continental breakfast with a added twist. Susan’s pleasant smile and Nakia’s courteous, attentive manner elevated our dining experience. The service was seamless.||At District 5, the bartender with Asian features (name unfortunately forgotten) deserves high praise, he was extremely polite, respectful, and professional, and delivered service with precision and charm.||Housekeeping & Maintenance|The housekeeping team, especially Lotoya and Cordell, these two went above and beyond. The dedication they showed was exceptional, they effortlessly provided fresh linen daily, even when I didn’t ask, that speaks to their remarkable work ethic. They assisted my husband and I with laundry and maintained the room with meticulous attention. The entire housekeeping and maintenance department reflect the hotel’s commitment to an impeccable standard.||Hotel Environment|The hotel itself is immaculate, spotless from corner to corner. Fresh, clean scent. Modern, stylish décor. The ambiance was both sophisticated and welcoming. We appreciate the staff's ability to host guests with minimal restrictions while still maintaining strict security protocols. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between freedom and safety.||Leadership|A special acknowledgment to Monique Gossop. In many hotels, supervisors hide in offices and merely delegate. Not Monique, her leadership is hands-on, present, proactive, and visibly effective. She is consistently on the floor, engaged with staff and guests, always a hand stretch away, or a phone call away. Her problem-solving skills, poise, and unwavering standard of excellence are a testament to superior leadership. She is an asset to the R Hotel. ||The Birthday Surprise|Despite MY short notice, MY POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS, and LATE email, the team orchestrated a beautiful surprise birthday bedroom setup for my husband. It was thoughtful, elegant, and executed with creativity. The unforgettable touch made our stay truly special.||Gate Personnel|The gate security team deserves its own praise. They were vigilant, respectful, and highly observant. Their presence offered a strong sense of safety without ever feeling intrusive. Our return to the property day or night, was met with warm acknowledgment and confident security measures. Their professionalism is the hotel’s first line of welcome and protection, and they execute it with distinction.||The R Hotel Kingston delivered a world-class, unparalleled, and unforgettable experience. Every team member contributed to a stay that exceeded our expectations in every possible way. We will return, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, safety, luxury, and genuine Jamaican hospitality.
