Extremely creative mostly plant based food that doesn't scrimp on the flavor. There will definitely be people who think how much spice they use is way too much, particularly in Portugal, I'd think, where the traditional dishes aren't so heavily spiced.
But I loved the nutmeg-laced purple potato purée that came with the ahi tuna even though the sheer amount made me nervously Google how much nutmeg it takes to make you get high and hallucinate.
And I loved how thickly they coated the tofu with turmeric-rich granola, so that it was almost cereal-like rather than entree-like. They sell the granola by the pound; I should have bought some for the plane ride home.
The miso salted caramel dessert was fine, but a bit of a miss compared to the other two, with a dense, thick crust and thin, almost filmy caramel. Reverse the ratio and I would have loved it. The miso was more than evident in the flavor, of course.
