Arguably the best sushi in the city. Friendly happy service. Mostly takeaway because seating is very limited and on stools.

I know it's a big call but… R Takagi has the most delicious sushi in Hobart. They have been making sushi for a long time and they never disappoint, even after all these years.

Just tried this sushi spot and it was a total win. The rolls are super easy to eat—bite-sized, perfectly wrapped, and not overloaded with sauce or fillings that fall apart. Everything tasted fresh, especially the salmon and avocado rolls. Great for a quick bite or a chill dinner. Definitely coming back.

Terrable services. I asked if they can cut two rolls for me as I'm getting take away and need to eat on my way. They gave me a plastic knife instead. So instead of taking food away, I had to sit in their shop and cut those rolls. Both rolls were terrablely wraped and end up falling apart before cut into half. Worst sushi experience ever.

My family’s favorite quick lunch and dinner option. Authentic Japanese sushi made to a Japanese standard by a Japanese chef. After living in Japan for 10yrs, it was super nice to taste great sushi. the rice was cooked perfectly and seasoned correctly.

The best sushi in Hobart CBD. The rice is perfectly seasoned and the toppings are generous and fresh. I do wish they would make better use of the space with their tables and chairs. It is hard to find a place to sit and I think they could use the space more intelligently.

Best Sushi in Hobart so far Fresh, well made and tasty hand rolls! Great for a quick bite. Not much space inside but perfect to take away! Rice is well seasoned and a good balance of ingredients.

Best sushi I have ever had

This is my favourite sushi place in Hobart. The fact it is actually in town next to Sportsgirl just means I don't have to go anywhere to get a lovely fresh lunch. Whenever I'm in town for lunch it is my go to place. My usual is their cooked tuna and their teriyaki chicken. I can't find any other teriyaki chicken like it anywhere!
