RAC Cervantes Holiday Park

Great park, lovely staff. We got put at the far end of the park away from all amenities also next to the only other non-powered guest. The whole campsite was free and we got put together. Lovely heated pool, clean and nice facilities.

With no competition you might expect this holiday park to be a little bit lax looking after its guests, but I have nothing but praise. My wife and I are motorhome travellers and from check in to checkout 5 nights later it was great. Location is great, beach access, walking tracks, attractions, food and drinks choices close by, and even a cafe on site. Shame the pool wasn’t heated, very inviting area to relax by. Quiet and safe and good amenities.

We stayed for 3 nights on a powered site. The amenities are very new and kept clean as is the pool area and kitchen games room area. We did not use the pool or the games/kitchen area but these are some of the best we have seen on our 50 week trip. Depending on which van site you are given they are a little uneven with an old mat. I noticed some sites have slabs and double slabs but we were not fortunate enough to get one. 😢

We stayed for two nights at RAC Cervantes and wanted to share our experience — both the positive and the areas we felt could be improved. Firstly, we truly appreciate the kindness and support from the team on our first night. The weather was extremely cold and rainy, and allowing us to sleep in the game room made a big difference for us. That gesture was thoughtful and helped us feel safe and cared for. However, we were quite disappointed with how things were handled the following day. As we were trying to decide whether to stay for our second night or head home, we felt pressured and pushed to leave the campground. That experience was frustrating and upsetting, especially considering we had paid for two nights and were still within our booking rights. We also noticed inconsistencies regarding the campground's pet-friendly policy. While we respect the rules about no pets in the kitchen, there was no signage indicating pets were not allowed in the game room. Being asked to take our dog out without prior notice or clear signage added to our frustration. Overall, while we value the welcoming support we received during our first night, we believe all guests should be given equal opportunity to enjoy the facilities without feeling rushed or excluded. Mixed bag for us here. Site are not the best. Sandy dirt patches with a piece of raggedy old shade clothe. Large trees were problematic constantly dropping debris on van roof made worse by the wind and attracts ants due to the sticky gum.Roads around the park are quite rough and have a myriad of pot holes. Huge camp kitchen and games rooms Swimming pool advertised as being was cold but appreciated if you were a penguin. Amenities I can only my offer up my husbands thought in that there was a shortage of men's stalls resulting in a morning line up in both Amenities blocks.My biggest issue with our stay was the stench of the metre deep seaweed rotting on the beach. Understandingly this is not the fault of the park however made for an unpleasant stay.Washing left to dry outside took on the rank smell of the weed. There are some nice beach shelters on the beach which because of the weed rendered them and the beach unusable. Staff were generally polite when approached. There is a general store near by that I would suggest you check use by dates on goods. Most items on shelf are not priced,but you can asked for a scan before you buy. There is also a well stocked post office,bottle shop.and small pharmacy and a couple of options to eat out.I don't think this RAC park will be high on our list for a return visit.

Really enjoyed our trip and stay. Facilities were decent, games room, dining room and fancy hot plate bbq, and staff were very friendly. The pool was not heated when we were there but still used it. Would have been good to know the Lobster Shack closes early, we assumed it would be open for early dinner, so my advice would be check opening times.

Nice park in a convenient location. Walk to cafes and pub. Dinner at nearby The Club was good dog friendly seating outside. Good clean amenities and spacious parks. Amazing recreation room and camp kitchen. Fantastic large pool advertised as heated but wasn't and pretty cold in the water during our late April stay. Bit of a windy place so only got kayaks out twice. Great spot for sunsets.

Nice park, clean and tidy, best kitchen and pool. The girls in the office were friendly, happy to help, Mon went over and above the look after us. Gary and Tommy were only to happy to help us in the Park. Definitely going back 😃
