RACV Hobart Hotel

An excellent hotel that is understated. Quiet rooms, windows and balconies you can go out onto. Rooms clean and a good size. 24 hour concierge service. Great breakfast and excellent service Excellent happy hour in the bar. We will be back!

Nice hotel right in the centre of Hobart's shopping area and only a stroll away from the wharf. Rooms and bathroom are clean, spacious and with a small kitchen. I also loved the gym, quite spacious and modern. I would replace some machines for free weights and a cable pulley machine though...but that is just me 😄 . They also have a nice bar for small meals and a restaurant that we haven't tried out yet. But so far we are happy campers. Update: we dined at their restaurant for Christmas, and it was very yummy.

Needless to say I am a fan of the various RACV resorts and this one is no exception. Very handily located near the centre of the city, it provides ready access to the various points of interest in what is already a very picturesque and sedate State capital. From arrival to departure, the whole experience is one of understated comfort and efficiency. Very knowledgeable and polite staff, from telephone booking contact to reception, restaurant, housekeeping and bar. Nothing seems to be any trouble at all. Our room was spacious and invitingly clean with little to want. Breakfast was excellent in a very well-lit and comfortable restaurant and service was very attentive and friendly. Free parking for members is an excellent addition although given the location and the relative compactness of Hobart, Uber travel was an excellent alternative to self-drive and we used it on more than one occasion. The downstairs bar area is a welcoming and relaxed, light and airy and beautifully decorated. Added to all this is the fact that the cost was extremely competitive, as is so often the case when the RACV offers one of its "special deals". A very happy stay in a very good facility. We'll be back.

We only could stay one night but enjoyed the experience very much. The room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was just what we wanted and the staff at Reception were helpful and very efficient. We will be back!

We stayed for 3 nights this week. The first time we stayed years ago it was new and wasn't finished. Our room was excellent and large, this time however the amount of dust was a concern. The lamps were thick with dust, so much dust on the baggage shelf, in the bathroom on the Coffee/tea station, clock radio. We had a very busy visit so I didn't contact reception, but being someone who uses CPAP this is not ideal. The room was in good repair, the shower was clean and housekeeping came each day. I think for the amount you pay you expect it to be very clean. It could use a refresh. Otherwise we had a lovely stay. It's right in the centre of Hobart and all staff were very pleasant. Next time I would make sure my room is clean.

We have just finished a 6 night stay at RACV Hotel in Hobart and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Every aspect of our stay was excellent. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and spacious with views towards Mt Wellington on two sides and the bed was very comfortable. The location couldn't have been better, right in the city centre with an airport bus stop and hop on hop off tour bus stop right outside the door. Breakfast was very good, and we appreciated the helpfulness of the staff in the breakfast room. Highly recommended as a place to stay in Hobart.

Excellent medium size hotel well located between the main shopping areas and the waterfront. Good views from our room on the 8th floor spacious, with kitchenette and balcony large enough to accommodate a small table and seating. Has very good on site restaurant eating options either upmarket or more affordable. Lovely quite lounge area and good gym.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. All the facilities you require, incredibly clean and modern rooms. Buffet breakfast is decent. Housekeeping attentive. Will stay here for all of my future visits.
