Fantastic experience. Location is perfect, very central and across the road from both the Sky bus to and from the Airport and the Hop on/ Hop off bus which was an extra bonus. Staff very helpful. Lounge area fantastic. Area to relax and enjoy the gas fire as well as tables and chairs that allow you to enjoy with friends. Bar area great and reasonable prices. Rooms really good size, quite and window dressings well down and allow you to wake up with ease. We loved the hotel, the location, the food, Breakfast buffet (which had a great Gluten free selection). Super impressed

We loved our brief stay at The RACV Resort Hotel in Hobart. This is our favourite place to stay due to its central position, friendly staff and the attention to detail in the rooms. The beds are so comfy, lovely toiletries and it’s spotlessly clean. The car parking can sometimes be tricky, but if the car park is full, the staff will assist in sorting a spot.

From the moment of walking in to a wonderful fireplace at reception - check-in was a breeze and the staff were exceptional, we arrived early for normal checkin however asked if possible to obtain a room and we were delighted that we could access on arrival. The main lobby is wonderful, lovely blend of the old cascade brewery office with a new contemporary area with amazing fireplace. Location is so good, close to harbour, Salamanca market etc. Oh and if you are up for it the Reuben sandwich at the bar (or room service) is the best!!

Stylish, clean hotel and such value for $. Feels like a ski lodge with the large communal lounge room and fire place. Breakfast buffet had great selection of fresh food. Staff are adorable. I loved the Cascades building and stables being part of the motel. I would stay here again.

A great base for Hobart events and catch ups. Staff were responsive and helpful. A comfortable room and public areas. Handy parking, even if the original calculations mean it struggles to cope with capacity. The valet service saves the day.

Great location, in heart of CBD and only 5-10 minute walk to waterfront. Service and staff, first class. Only marked down for, and I know it's a relatively minor thing, outdated TV/in-room entertainment. No smart TV, can't Cast to TV and not access ports (HDMI) to attach own device. That said, will definitely stay again and recommend to others looking for a central Hobart hotel.

We have been surprised at a few things that seem in bad taste and strangly petty at the hotel across our 5 night stay.|Firstly, we wondered if we could ask if we may be able to microwave something in the kitchen open hours and were told that we would need a room upgrade to a room that has a microwave for that and the kitchen didn't do it. Totally ok if they dont do it, but there was a bit of attitude in the way we were told, and we didn't know. Often, hotels give an air of ' come ask if you dont know, it's ok to ask us.'||On the second day of our stay, at 11 45am / 12pm, we requested whether we could have the sheets changed as we had spilled a little food on it ( helpful for the hotel because then a stain won't set in, helpful for the us so that we don't have a red sause wet patch on the bed). We were told housekeeping shifts had finished, and they had gone home for the day. We asked if we could change the sheet ourselves and if they would be ok to give us a top sheet to do this. Reception said this was fine.|Then, when we left the room to go downstairs and get it, we saw several rooms on our floor that were still having housekeeping services, including the room next door. When we went to reception, we requested if just our top sheet could be changed as housekeeping was still happening in the rooms on our floor.|The person at reception said,' Well, perhaps they don't like you.' We had stayed 1 night, surely that couslnt be the case. That was our first interaction with them.I could see this was a joke, but it did seem a little strange. When we came back to the room, we saw the whole bed had been redone. This was much appreciated but not quite necessary. |We ate and drank in the hotel bar, ordering big meals like the steak, but then we're told it would cost an additional $1.80 per sause we ordered. Thst seems rich, when the meal is expensive, to make us pay additionally per ketchup or Mayo addition. It seems in poor taste. ||At a different point, we were playing cards in the lobby/ lounge area, we has asked if we were to order uber eats, would it be acceptable to eat that here rather than the room. We were told this was fine. this area is seperate to the bar/ restraunt. We had our own drinks with us and we were told to leave- not told 'we couldn't have them so would we mind getting rid of them', not told 'you can only drink in this area if you order at the bar', not told, 'unfortunalty you can't have those here but you can order from the bar and drink them here', we were just told to leave, as guests staying in the hotel that were actually unaware we were not supposed to do that. That felt quite shocking and a bit aggressive. ||These are the bigger ones, and there were a few times of being brought meals and needing to remind them we would also like cutlery, please, or other small things at check-in. It seemed like the staff didn't want to be there, and absolut were not I threshed in small gestures to make the stay pleasant and make us feel welcome. ||The beds were comfortable and the place was clean, he location was also good. But i wouldnt come back as these things above felt unnecisarily rude. Especially as we were quite polite and tentative when requesting things.

RACV is nice hotel to stay at Tasmania, it is located at centre of the city, many food restaurants closeby, Harbour pier is also in walkable distance. Unexpected is my room is facing Mt Wellington! Suggestion... if Microwave Oven can be added is perfect. Little reminder, the room facilitates or devices must be checked before guests check in, say the Safe. All other services are good. The last day when I check out, the front desk staff even takes initiative to buy the Skybus ticket for me. Thanks a lot!
