When Marilyn Monroe was asked if she scandalously posed nude for a 1949 calendar photo, she said, "It's not true I had nothing on. You see, I had the radio on." You should get the radio on too and get yourself to RadioEat. "Filez-y".
RadioEat is a trendy upscale restaurant in the rejuvenated Maison de la Radio building, a classic building from the 1950s on the Seine and the headquarters of French state radio broadcasting. In addition to good food, the restaurant has great views of the Eiffel Tower.
To get to the restaurant, which is located on the second floor (the French call it the first floor), you walk past recording halls and sound studios.
The restaurant just opened in June but is already a destination for locals. We went on New Year's Eve and it was packed.
The food is a modern version on French classics. We especially cared for the coconut chicken and the deserts. I can't remember all the things we ate but we enjoyed it. And I'll never forget the view.
