Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados

The sandy beach, blue sea and view are incredible. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Rooms adequate, some areas of the hotel are clearly looking dated. The very end of the pier is run down and not longer accessible but you have a water view from the pier restaurant while eating. Small pool area. Fitness area. Could use a ping pong table or similar. Overall a great affordable holiday.

I stayed at this hotel from the 24th-27th April 2024 to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary with my wife. From the front desk to the restaurant and to the beach, I found all of the Radisson personnel extremely welcoming and friendly. A special thanks goes out to Joselyn who facilitated the booking and Margaret who made us feel extremely welcomed in the Restaurant when we went for breakfast. The guest room was awesome as it provided views of the beach from two separate balconies. It’s a must stay and I honestly can’t wait to return. Thanks once again for making our stay “simply delightful”.

Our room was not ready when we arrived at 3:00 pm and we had to wait until 8:00 pm to get our room. They offered us a complimentary dinner to eat there which was nice but the dinner was not very good. But we still appreciated it . Our room air conditioner was very noisy all night long and even though it was on all night it did not keep our room cool . We were very hot and had a terrible nights sleep. ( was in the 80’s and humid) . The staff was very apologetic the next morning and gave us free breakfast buffet at the hotel. That was very good. The hotel is very dated and seems dirty because it is so dated. We were told not to leave any valuables on the beach in our beach bag because it is a public beach and it could be stolen. So we decided not to go swimming, afraid someone would take our phones from our bag. We came back after our cruise for one night even though I did not want to and they remembered us and upgraded us to a room with a beautiful view! The room was cool and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is nice but it’s a shames the hotel needs a complete renovation. I would choose another hotel the next time I am in Barbados. The staff tries , but the place is not one I would stay more than one night if I had to.

Kindest friendliest staff. Very warm people. The building is extremely dated. In desperate need of investment for renovation. Zero ambiance. The nightly price makes no sense unless it’s supposed to go to a deposit about to fund a future renovation, but even that is ludicrous. I feel bad for the staff. They give phenomenal service but the property just dilutes their warmth. Radisson, work with the property owner, do something, buy out the owner if there’s some issue there… idk. Guests don’t enjoy being confused about what they are paying for.

This is a tired hotel in a great location. Definitely in need of a facelift and new beds. We stayed two nights prior to taking a cruise. ||Positives—the view from our room was amazing. The location is great—on a long, beautiful beach close to the shipwrecks (more on those later). Horses from the nearby race track are brought down to the beach here each morning to exercise in the ocean and get washed. It was fun watching the trainers work with the horses. Negatives-bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Should have been replaced years ago. The restaurant was overpriced and had average to below average food.||Shipwrecks and snorkeling are very close to the hotel (maybe 50 yards to the right as you face the ocean). If you are a good swimmer, you can make it out to the shipwrecks from the nearby beach without hiring a snorkeling tour. We met some people who did that. We tried but alas the shipwrecks were a bit farther than we could reach and had to give up. If we come again, we’ll take one of the snorkel tours which takes you right on top of the wrecks.

The evaluation is based on what you get for the (high) price. The hotel belongs to Radisson and charges upscale rates for rooms and breakfast. However, the premises look pretty old and are in urgent need of some TLC. Of course, the location directly on the beach is great, staff was friendly and it's not their fault that the owner let the hotel rot. For a Radisson, I would expect much more. The pool is also really small as is the beach strip that has been allocated to hotel guests (technically, all beaches in Barbados are public). Breakfast is not much but also comes at a premium. Overall, I would recommend to stay at other higher end chains close by until the hotel is refurbished from the ground.

Great location for the beach. Very easy safe access. Staff are friendly and helpful. Generally a tired hotel. Definitely 3star rating only. Spacious clean rooms. Lack some basics like mobile phone usb. Needs an upgrade. Nice outdoor restaurant. A little pricey but top notch food. Small outdoor pool but the beach makes this insignificant. Did b&b basis. Breakfast is good. Upgrade to half-board is expensive. Better to eat dinner locally or individually in the restaurant. Wouldn't say no to returning.

The hotel itself is lovely situation location not so great because at night is very dark to get anywhere you right on the beach beautiful water but breakfast very expensive so best to choose a hotel with bed and Break |do not fall for the con artist Roger profess to be a professional massager| he knows nothing about massaging six year-old can do a better he takes your money first in advance. Be careful.
