Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow

We were delighted to be able to spend an enjoyable evening staying in Glasgow at the Radisson Blu for a family event to celebrate our son’s 30th birthday. |The hotel is modern, having been upgraded since a previous visit we made a few years ago. The check-in was quick and easy and our rooms were ready on time. The rooms themselves are clean,comfortable, quiet and had everything we required. |All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful over both days. |The Grahamston Bar was lively and the service from the bar staff was very good, prices were reasonable. We held a family meal for 25 people in the ‘snug’ and again, the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The 3 course meal was delicious and the service from Garry and his team was sleek and efficient. Special mention and thanks needs to go to Kris, Cody, Emma and Mark for looking after us all and adding to a very enjoyable experience overall.

Booked for a one night stay in Glasgow whilst visiting friends. Chose it due to location in the city centre and the room option to include our 8 year old worked for us.|Arrived early so room not ready which was fine but we were able to leave our bags so we could head straight out to explore the city.|After a busy day we returned early evening and were checked in very quickly. We were in a room on the 3rd floor. We had chosen a room with bunk beds, my daughter was really excited about this. But the top bunk was not set up - totally understand why as only 3 of us in the room but she had been quite excited to sleep in a top bunk. We did call down to reception but due to the time of day there was no one available in housekeeping to set it up so she just slept on the bottom which was fine.|The room was lovely and spacious, bed super comfortable, we all slept incredibly well there. lovely bathroom with large shower and everything was immaculate and clean.|We had breakfast in the morning which was really good, we sat in the bar area for this and it did get very busy later on but we managed to get a table fine. Loved the hot choice, always love to see haggis and a potato scone on a breakfast in Scotland. We were able to order poached eggs as well from the menu at no additional cost. Overall a lovely selection, something for everyone and a great start to our day.|All staff we spoke with were friendly and welcoming, no complaints at all and would happily stay here again when visiting the city

Very good quality hotel close to Central Station & easily walkable. Friendly & efficient reception staff allocated me a room on 5th floor. Room card is required to operate lift. I had upgraded my room which was large & had all essentials, safe, fridge, coffee machine, iron etc. Bathroom was clean well stocked with towels etc & had large walk in shower. Large bed was very comfortable & I slept well. Excellent breakfast buffet which was plentiful & good quality & includes some traditional Scottish options luke haggis & Lorne Sausage. Very enjoyable stay & would certainly stay again if possible.

Stayed here for the first time on Saturday. Was initially picked because of a deal I got online and proximity to central station but im so glad I chose it. The hotel was excellent from start to finish. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and attentive and in turn the customer service was excellent. The hotel was nice and cosy and there was plenty of seating in main lobby. The room was spacious and had all the amenities you would need including a decent sized wardrobe and good selection of teas and coffee which I like. I had such a good sleep with little noise from the main hallway or the other rooms. The check out process was seamless and the breakfast was perfect. Could not fault at all. Will most definitely be back.

Probably a better standard hotel than I would normally book & I had a really good 2 night stay at The Radisson. Very close to Cental Station & easily walkable. Very convenient for provisions, eating drinking out etc & nightlife. Reception staff are friendly & efficient & allocated me an upgraded room on Fifth floor. The room card activates the lift |The room was a large one with all essentials plus coffee machine in addition to kettle, room safe, fridge, complementary water. The bed was a large double & very comfortable & I slept well. Didn't experience any noise from outside despite proximity to Station. Bathroom was clean & well stocked with towels & had a large walk in shower.|Breakfast buffet was plentiful & good quality & included some traditional Scottish options like haggis & Lorne sausages. Hotel seems very popular for conferences with several running when I was there so is quite busy. |Very enjoyable stay & would certainly stay again if possible.

Our room was upgraded and absolutely beautiful. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed this trip to Scotland, the Radisson Blu in Glasgow was by far the nicest with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The bar is well stocked with great service. The morning breakfast was delicious. This hotel is in a great location with plenty of sites and restaurants/pubs within walking distance.

Despite checking in on line, we were told on arrival we would have to join the very long queue as they were very busy. The lounge bar, adjacent to check in was full to bursting and very noisy. We couldnt book a table for food, none available. The room was a good size, clean and a lovely view. Very little loo roll provided!! We went to a concert and returned later to have a drink at the bar. Although quieter, the queue for service was long and took ages to get served. The queue for the lift to access the sky bar was long. We gave up and took our drinks to our room. It was a bit noisy during the night. Handy for concert venues but wouldnt rush back.

Just back from a fantastic stay at this hotel. From check-in (thank you Mia for all your assistance), lunch, drinks, breakfast and check out everything was fantastic. Food was delicious especially breakfast which was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. Thank you for the surprise in our room also for my husbands 40th birthday, we will certainly be back

I would probably have rated this hotel with two stars if it hadn't been for Michele, who helped us with our room key fiasco. The first time we arrived at our room, the room key didn't work. We went back down to get another one. That didn't work either. Michele came up with us and her keys didn't work either. Engineering came to fix the door. They assured us that we would no longer have any problems. A couple of hours later, we went back to our room. Our key didn't work again. Eventually, we were moved to another room with some complimentary breakfast. The hotel is no doubt dated in comparison to other locations. However, it does have amenities we enjoyed: a pool, which was a little circuitous to get to, a gym, and an ice machine. As Michele mentioned, the hotel doesn't have great views. Our first room had a view of other hotel room windows. Our second room had a partial view of Glasgow Central Station and Hope Street. Our room was fairly spacious. The breakfast buffet had many options, even a la carte items. Grahamston was terrible. The service was slow and inattentive. City Sightseeing bus stopped right in front of the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel - my daughter and I had an overnight stay. Staff were helpful, professional and attentive. Clear advice and guidance everywhere in relation to COVID-19 - we felt really safe. Room was lovely with a modern decor. It was clean and bright. The meal at night was first class - well cooked and presented well. The food was a joy on all my senses. The breakfast was well organised and absolutely delicious. I am looking forward to my next stay.

A very serviceable hotel- I've stayed here a few times with work. Great location if you need to be in central Glasgow and/or use the train( 3mins from Central Station, if you walk slowly). Rooms are clean and well sized; staff are friendly and efficient. One complaint about room service- it's hideously expensive , and the food is a bit hit-and-miss) . £20 for an awful burger is way too much ( see the pictured abomination).

Had a short stay before leaving Scotland at The Blu. A wonderful hotel and great experience from checking in early with Laura to our departure. Friendly staff, clean room and great location. Thank you for a wonderful day and night in Glasgow.

Stayed at the Radisson when up in Glasgow for a short weekend. The hotel has a great location close to the central station (like 1-2 minutes walk) and the shuttle from the airport also stops close by. The location is also good for shopping in the city center but of course a bit further of West End so if that is where you are going there may be better options. The surrounding area may not be the most beautiful but when entering the hotel the lobby is nicely designed and looks new. We were quickly checked-in and given our room. Staff were friendly and helpful asking if we needed help with restaurant reservations or other things. Took the glass elevators up to our room, the elevators are a bit strange as one pushes the button for the floor outside the elevator so when entering there are no buttons to push. Still it worked but could see some confusion among the guests. The room we had was modern in design, and had a distinct 'Radisson' feel to it but perhaps a bit darker colors than what is normal in Radisson hotels. This is also a bit unfortunate as our room did not have the huge windows some of the other rooms had so it would have benefited from lighter colors in the actual room. The room was not huge but still with enough space to fit a large desk, a 'comfy' chair, small table and a huge bed in it. I liked the bed a lot, not too soft or to hard and plenty of space to move around. The room also got really dark so slept excellent. There was of course also a minibar, coffee/tea maker, iron and ironing board. I did like the free bottle of water and the good selections of tea as well as the complimentary chocolate caramel wafers. The hotel offers free wifi as well. The TV was a bit small but did not really bother me and I did like the small speakers system that connected to the iPhone. The bathroom was nice with a big bath tub and the soaps, shampoos and such were of high quality (also as can be expected at the Radisson). Had a few minor issues (could not get hot enough water and they had it fixed in minutes) and questions (ice and ice bucket - solved in minutes again) and I was impressed with the speed and pleasant attitude the staff solved it. There is also free access to LA Fitness next door so that is great if one wants to get some exercise. Only drawback was the limited opening hours but I think that was due to me being there on Easter. Our rate included breakfast and the buffet was impressive in its range and the quality was also good. Good selection of hot food (eggs, bacon,sausages, black pudding, beans etc) as well as cold (yogurt, bread, pastries and such) but what I really liked was the fact that one could order omelets, poached eggs, eggs Benedict and many other things without additional charges. All together the hotel is very good and I would stay again. The only thing I was not entirely happy with was the small windows in the room.

I'm going to give it three stars... it was a beautiful hotel literally wouldn't complain about a thing because of how nice of hotel it was... except my room wasn't the cleanest I'm not sure if it had been stayed in for some time because the floor in the shower was quite dirty and had some mold like residue in the grout. Other then that the hotel was amazing, and a great bar and bartender!

Love the Raddison brand, this place is no different, it's clean well presented, food even in room is tasty and plentiful if not a little on the higher price scale There is free wifi which is imperative in this day and age Check in is easy and team are friendly Room service team just as friendly

A funky exterior rivalled by an equally sleek interior, this hotel stands proud in the unofficial Hotel region of Glasgow, optimally located next to Glasgow Central. There is a big re-development down this way, with alot of new Hotels to be built over the next few years which will rival this place more in terms of price than anything else I think, it's not the cheapest Hotel. Location is always key with a Hotel though, and this place is ideal in terms of location, minimising any hassle with public transport or lost time for tourists. I haven't stayed in the place, but have attended a fundraiser some years ago and it was an amazing night. I felt like I was in London or somewhere for a while, aside from the Glasgow accents. Great food and bar service, that was on the pricy side of things as expected. No complaints.

Perhaps there is a different standard for a 5 star hotel in Europe but this is in no way a North American five star. The rooms appear to be somewhat renovated however, furniture is scratched up and sitting chair was stained. All of which I can live with however when it is advertised as 5 star you just have certain expectations. It just didn't feel super clean as I found hair (that didn't belong to me or my husband) in the bathroom. The toilet seat also didn't seem securely bolted to toilet and slid around. In fact, even the hotel lobby bathroom was dirty first thing in the morning even though I saw a cleaner come in to wipe the counter. The floors were dirty and had toilet paper on the ground. However, enough with the negatives. None of this would have bothered me if this wasn't considered a 5 star hotel. There are a lot of positives too. Very centrally located right by the central Glasgow train station and the heart of the city. Staff was great, friendly and very helpful. Especially the concierge who made the extra effort to give us suggestions and even a coupon for the hop on hop off bus. We showed up after a long travel and were able to store our luggage until we could check in. Free WiFi, very comfortable bed and pillows were all bonuses. There is also a fitness centre connected to the hotel so it's not your average hotel gym. There are fitness classes and tons of equipment. Also a pool and sauna. If looking for a good hotel with great location this is for you, but definitely not a 5 star.

I have stayed here a number of times, and I truly think it is the best Radisson Blu in the UK / Ireland. The location of the hotel is ideal: a very short walk from the train station, shopping areas, restaurant areas etc. I even walked to Kelvingrove from there in one hour, but I'm not sure I would recommend doing that! It looks amazing and is breathtaking every time I see it. The interior of the lobby is all open plan and hip looking, with a cute bar area that serves food all day to compliment the main restaurant. Although I usually do eat in the bar, the hotel has the standard Radisson buffet breakfast, but I am convinced that this is the best one, with very high standards and also some local charm. The quality of the rooms is always first class: attention to detail, plus two free room upgrades which always makes me happy. Nice views from the window of central Glasgow, always a good range of Radisson Blu toiletries (including the bath salts which are hard to find!). Of course it is the people that make the place though, and the service is always first class. They respect with professionalism and openess to any request, and the concierge in particular is incredibly helpful. The gym is under the hotel, and a little scary. But you can't have everything.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay at the Radisson Blu. It is in the center of Glasgow, with the most convenient access to the downtown shops and restaurants. I was rushing to and from offices, and dinners... so the ability to run out the front door and get some retail therapy was a huge bonus. The breakfast offering here was incredible - really A-Plus. There was a huge variety of fresh and hot food to choose from: local delicacies such as black puddings, etc... to the more average offering such as eggs, sausages, etc. There were many different juices to choose from, good yogurts, tons of fresh fruit, freshly toasted bread, and much more. When I realized how great the breakfast was here, I came down earlier to give myself more time to guzzle! The room itself was very modern and pleasant: the decor was very edgy and bright, and the room was very simple and euro-modern. Everything had its little nook and cranny and there was nothing in the room that wasn't functional. There was no plug in the bathroom which made drying my hair a little bit unusual, and the lighting in the main part of the room is pretty dim at night -- but I guess you are in a hotel to sleep, so I won't harp on that too much. Very very pleasant stay.

Newer, nice hotel right in the downtown area of Glasgow. Step out of the lobby and you are seconds-minutes walk to the restaurants, shops, and attractions. Rooms are clean and modern. Careful with the elevators - you can't just walk into one. You have to enter your floor number and you will be assigned an elevator number. Might take a trip to get used to, but in the end it's more efficient. *Free Wi-FI and free access to the LA Fitness in the basement of the hotel, nice additional benefit.

Not the best place to go for afternoon tea. We took the aged parent as she was staying at the hotel for the weekend and I loved the idea of the whole cake stand thing and thought it might be nice as a treat. Wasn't overly taken with the Atrium bar as its quite noisy and echo-ey when check-in gets busy. The afternoon entertainment in the shape of a guitar soloist was quite good - and more to the point not too loud (although loud enough) The cake stand, cutlery and plates were duly delivered (as was the wine we'd also ordered) but no tea. No problem, the waiter bustled off and duly arrived back with the tea set. So: there were 4 quarter sandwiches, two each of smoked salmon and cream cheese and salami and gherkin; two mini focaccia with pesto and mozzarella and something else which I cant remember. Four scones, with cream (not clotted) and jam, two little mini brownie type things, two vanilla pannacotta type things in little shot glasses and two mini strawberry tartlets. Was a bit surprised by the European take on the bottom plate (I mean, salami sandwiches at afternoon tea??) I was expecting some thing a bit more tradiitonal and the cakes to be more patisserie like and more traditional but it was all very tasty none the less, couldnt fault the standard of the food. Could the Radisson kindly take note that wide shallow coffee cups aren't really suitable for tea and the aged parent was less than impressed with this and the less than elegant flatware which was too small resulting in scone crumbs all over the place. Neither was an extra pot of hot water provided which is the norm when tea is served. Proper fabric napkins though. Why only three stars? The flatware which would have done duty in a Greek restaurant on plate smashing night and the not quite traditional tea stand. Last but not least the fact that the tea was extra. Extra?? Eh, isnt tea integral to the concept of afternoon tea??? Its rare that it happens but that one left me speechless!

I stayed here for a corporate function for just one night. I enjoyed a special rate of £110 for bed and breakfast. The building itself is something of a landmark, with an atrium-like space at the front which forms the lobby and bar. It is very close to Glasgow Central station take the Argyle Street exit and it is across the road. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout, especially the very helpful kilted doorman. The rooms are achingly modern, and one surprise is that they have engineered wooden floors no carpets. This does make it feel a bit spartan, a feeling reinforced by the dark wallpaper and pale furniture. Like many designer places, you had to hunt a bit for the facilities: the tea and coffee tray was in the wardrobe, and the complimentary slippers, hair-dryer, shoe-shine and laundry bags were in a drawer inside the bottom of the wardrobe. And because the bed was so large and the wardrobe doors opened outwards, it was actually quite fiddly to put things away. The other bugbear was the lighting all a little dim (except in the bathroom, which was floodlit!). Those are relatively minor gripes, but irritating all the same. On the plus side, the desk was spacious, the wifi was free and had a good connection and the bathroom was both large and spotlessly clean. I found my room reasonably quiet though traffic noise filtered in a little. The bed was huge and comfy. I slept as well as I ever do in a hotel. A nice touch was a choice of soft and firm pillows. Breakfast the next day was the usual buffet: perfectly adequate but nothing special. They do a range of dishes to order (porridge, eggs in various styles) that might be a better bet. Staff were efficient and I was served good coffee and toast quickly. Check-out was refreshingly fast, too, despite a small queue. So I'd be happy to stay there again, but it's not the best modern hotel I've stayed in.

Having attended a function here rather than stayed in the hotel, I can only really comment on the bars, the food and the staff, rather than the rooms. However, my experience was excellent: the staff were generous and engaged with the guests, attentive to detail and constantly helpful. The food was splendid- a fairly generic selection of Scottish produce, given the twist of being well prepared and with enough added imagination in the spices to make it stand out. The bar's stock is, unsurprisingly, wide and on the expensive side: however, there was a lovely atmosphere in the venue: modern, yet charming and certainly ideal both for private events and public functions.

I was at a big charity bash here a few months ago and it seemed to hit all the marks for the night. The vast room the event was held in was eh, vast and room like, plain enough to allow the organisers to create the look they were after. It's quite a unique looking place in comparison to other hotels in Glasgow, with an interesting building complemented by an open, airy and bright interior. We only spent a short amount of time at the bar before heading upstairs to the event, but it seemed well stocked, if a little on the pricy side (to be expected really). Facility wise it seemed fairly good in terms of condition. I usually find that some hotels are a bit rough around the edges, but this place seemed pretty crisp and clean. Can't make any comment on the rooms or other services, but it seemed to be pretty busy with people coming and going throughout the night.

This is my favourite hotel in Glasgow. From the slightly out-there exterior, to the clean lines of the rooms, it really is the nicest hotel in the city centre. The rooms are quite small but well laid out and the bathrooms are fantastic, down to the heated floor. The Collage bar is beautifully designed, it isn't as busy as it should be due to its just off the beaten track location. The location, as it currently stands, is probably the only thing that's wrong with this hotel. There are no stunning views, whichever room you stay in. Having said that, it is perfectly located for Glasgow's shops and nightlife, and the area is on the up, with another luxury hotel planned close by.

I have stayed at the hotel a few times and am always very impressed with the food and how quiet the rooms are considering that you are city centre. The breakfast downstairs is well worth getting up for - the omlettes made to order is a personal fave of mine.

I haven't stayed here but I attended functions in the evening. The meals were very nice, nicely cooked and good portions. (Especially the tiramisu!) :-) The house wines were included on our table and while the red wine was acceptable the white wine was to be avoided! Toilets were clean and stylish. Handily loacted for Glasgow Central Station.

Booked this hotel to make a night of seeing a concert at the SECC. We didn't choose to come per se but but booked through the 'secret hotel' function of a last minute booking website. Still, upon receiving notification that we had a Radisson Blu room, we were very pleased. We arrived at about 6pm and check in was smooth and the assistant friendly. Impressed by the lobby and glass elevator, we headed to our room on the 5th floor. we were impressed by the floor to ceiling window spanning the entire back wall of the room but less so by the promised 'city view' of the back of Central Station, the door at the arches and a rubble site. Little did I realise what this view meant. Thought the furnishings were modern and in fairly good nick aside from the glass topped sink which was grossly rusty up through where the sink was stuck to the counter top. Anyway, we had about half an hour in the room to freshen up before heading back out. Made use of the bottle opener and lovely glasses provided. Returned after the concert at midnight, the concert having over ran (so glad to have a room else we'd have missed the last train or had to leave before the end) and trawled the streets unsuccessfully for sustenance. Any way, spent half an hour watching e4 on the flat screen tv and then try to get some sleep. Realise the bed is super uncomfortable - hard mattress, soft pillows, thin duvet -more in keeping with an elderly relative's spare room set up than a supposedly 5* hotel. I might not have noticed the discomfort so sharply had I not been kept awake by the pounding of the club next door. We're not just talking distant bass sounds background noise here - it was like being immediately outside to the extent that I could hear the vague tunes and almost listen in to the smokers chat outside. To top it all off, and perhaps outwith the control of the hotel, At about half 3 when I'd finally dropped off I was awoken by frantic and sustained hammering at our door. I called down to complain and was offered to change rooms but thought this inappropriate given the time in the morning and that we are only staying one night (although a sensible offer on the hotels part). Will report back the outcome and reserve final judgement until I've had chance to speak with someone. So having spoken to the desk clerk, we were informed that there was nothing they could do - the sound coming from the Arches was out of their control, they were sorry that some one had hammered on the door but again it was something out of their control, some people like hard mattresses and soft pillows and finally that the rooms were 10 years old and were due for an upgrade in answer to the manky sink issue. I said this wasn't good enough and requested to speak to the manager. They took my details. I received a call back and the manager apologised, offered me a complimentary night in the hotel with an upgraded room and breakfast to redeem the situation. I will rereview after this. In the mean time - congratulations for getting to the end of this rambling review and I would recommend asking for a room somewhere above the 5th floor and on the other side of the buildling from the Arches/Central station. Excellent venue, polite, energetic staff. Location Central and good for parking. Conference rooms offer all expected facilities, clean, very well presented. Only criticism is that the large windows lead to the conference rooms over heating and the air conditioning takes a while to kick in.

Great hotel when traveling for business as well as private. Modern design, high level of service and clean and nice rooms. It is located in the very central parts of Glasgow right by the train station where you have short walking distance to both restaurants, pubs and shopping. Room service is good and food ok. My room was a little dark with black wall paper and not very bright lighting but the bed and pillows were very comfortable and extra plus for the integrated power adaptor by the desk. Why don't all hotels do that?

Came here for a work function on 1 March. Room was a food size but it overlooked the railway arches and that nightclub. The one that goes on til 5 am. Needless to say no sleep was had til the nightclub finished. Maybe I should've asked to be moved but it was 3am and I didn't fancy having to pack up my stuff and get dressed... Mental note, ask for a quiet room!

My son and I liked our stay at the Radisson Blu; we were visiting from Newcastle. It's well-located being just across from the central station. So it's an easy walk from the train to the hotel saving on transportation costs. Also it is within walking distance of practically all a visitor would need: Shopping (Glasgow is I believe #1 for shopping in the UK), dining, museums, sights. We arrived in December just before the Christmas holidays so the atmosphere was great. We were greeted by their welcoming doorman dressed in a kilt. From there the front desk staff were accommodating when I (based on reviews elsewhere) requested our room to be located away from their function room as I heard it gets so loud during weekends. And we were there on a Saturday. The staff understood and allocated us a nice room away from the potential noise. We booked a standard twin room except when we got to the room the beds were put together. So we had to call down to the front desk to have someone to separate the beds; this occurred in no time. The room itself was very nice as it was modern and had a desk and the necessary amenities. The bathroom was also very nice with fantastic Anne Semonin toiletries. In the morning we opted to take their buffet breakfast. It was located in a couple of nicely set rooms, and there lots of choices to make a full English breakfast as well as lighter fare. As for the bar we had a couple of drinks there the night before and the service and prices were quite good.

Great Location, Friendly Staff with good humour. Rooms are a good size equipped with iron etc. Literally on the door of central station and walking distance from a lot of good bars and restaurants. Only faults I can think of is the bed (although it was massive) it could have been comfier and the bathroom could have used a extractor fan to remove the steam from the shower as it's quite a small bathroom and ends up soaking after a shower. Buffet Breakfast was great, afternoon tea was also very nice. Overall a very nice stay. I would happily return.

I had the pleasure of a little surprise stay in the Radisson after my boyfriend was involved in a big charity dinner here, and he was kindly offered one of the rooms to stay in. When I arrived it was very late at night, about 12.30, and I got out of my taxi to the sight of my boyfriend having a cigarette with Jamie Afro from X-Factor! He didn't even know who he was, but it made for an exciting wee chat outside the hotel! All of the X-Factor stars were staying there that night as they were touring Glasgow. We had a few drinks in the lobby, which is really nice, massive and minimalistic. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, bringing us drinks to the table and making sure we were topped up at all times. It was still busy even that late at night, and although the bar should have shut at around 2am, we were there well past 3am. The staff didn't ask us to leave or make us feel uncomfortable which was very courteous of them. Everything about the hotel is stylish, but not over the top. It screams elegance but doesn't make you feel scared to touch anything! The lifts were very modern, choosing the floor before you enter, something I haven't seen before. Our room was on the third floor, and we entered absolutely knackered, hoping the bed was comfy! The room was spacious and modern, with a desk, comfy armchair and coffee table, and massive tv on a station which housed a mini bar, kettle, iron, jugs, cups and even an ice bucket. It was really swanky! The décor was nude and natural tones, browns and peaches with white, which made it really relaxing. The bed was angled towards the huge windows, which unfortunately looked out onto the roof and other peoples windows, but that didn't matter much at all. The bathroom was quite big, with plenty of white fluffy towels and robes, a bath and a shower. The toiletries were really cute and smelt amazing too! (I may have slipped them into my bag after our stay, but who doesn't?) We had a really comfy sleep in the King size bed. Breakfast was included and could be delivered to the room from 7-12 noon on a Sunday which was excellent. They provided you with a door hanger with breakfast options on it, including fruits and cereals, toast, full Scottish and scrambled egg and smoked Salmon! Luxury. Unfortunately we didn't get up in time, a little worse for wear from the previous evening! We left at about 20 past 12, 20 minutes after we should have but no one bothered us. We didn't have to check out either, which meant we could just leave without the hassle of waiting to hand in the room card. Perfect. A real treat, definitely worth it if you want a special night in town. Recommended.

I had a lovely room, and pretty large for a city centre hotel, shame about the view, and street noise below, but apart from that, it was pretty comfortable. As always, my favourite thing about this chain is the interent being included in the price, so it's simply check in and log on, none of the usual spend an hour giving them credit card details etc etc.

The Radisson is one of the fancier hotels in Glasgow and it's price tag reflects this. I've attended a few events here and the function halls are quite nicely laid out, with adequately sized reception halls and good visibility and access. The hotel rooms themselves are also very well decorated. It's location, just north of the city centre, is excellent, with the main shopping and historic area just a short walk away; as well as the Cineworld cinema, which holds the Guiness World Record for being the tallest cinema in the world!

Not too impressed with the restaurant. Staff were nice but never seemed to be around to ask for service of take order even though we were the only people in! It took over 5mins of us standing around awkwardly to be seated (I think this was because we were a young couple and more attention was being paid to middle aged business men at the bar). Food was okay but was outweighed by this.

An excellent hotel in the very centre of Glasgow; rooms are spotless, staff are friendly, can't complain there at all. One minor issue Get rid of those Nespresso machines, they're useless! ;)

the 5* radisson glasgow is situated on the longest street in scotland (if not uk) ! - standard radisson bars/rooms/restaurants/pool/gym (all good) - excellent conference facilities / friendly staff - haunt of local business community during week - 5mins walk to main shopping areas - although location is v busy during week as at very noisy road junction - across the road literally from main railway station and 10mins drive to glasgow airport
