This establishment is like several very different ones wrapped together. The modern and stylish lobby does not reflect the rest of the hotel. I would guess that there's an "revonation journey" underway but at the moment some things are a little "so-so". Parts of the hotel are up to date and Radisson standards, while others are time capsules from the 1980's. Don't let the hotels' own photo presentation fool you.
The room I was in (319) was probably a standard double and for that it was ridicously spacious, which is great if you're travelling with a lot of luggage, but otherwise it's more of a waste of space beacuse the room layout is strange and very impractical. Everything was clean and tidy but also dated and sometimes even worn. The bed was comfy enough, maybe the duvet a little thin. It wasn't the most quiet room I've had, but not the noisiest either. Good curtains that darken the room completely.
The gym was a hard let down and obviously under some sort of makeover. If you intend to work out during your stay: make sure to ask the status beforehand. Of course you can do some exercising in there but it wasn't a pleasant experience for me. Big minus on that one.
Breakfast was standard: nothing special but not missing anything essential either. I did not fancy the scrambles however.
Staff is overall attentive, professional and service minded as expected at Radisson.
Location is as good as it gets downtown; in close vincinity to everything.
Would I stay there again? Not before the hotel can show a cohesive expression (matching the lobby), which I hope will happen soon.
