Radisson Blu Hotel, Tromso

Incredible stay! The location is unbeatable, very central and within walking distance of all major attractions. If you’re booking tours like we did, the hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from all the meeting points. The room was on the smaller side, but thoughtfully designed and fully equipped. The heated bathroom floor was a real treat. The breakfast was amazing. Loved the homemade jam and the oat milk coffee options.

I was not planning to visit Tromso. But, my flight to Longyearbyen has been canceled. So I forced to stay here at Tromso for 3 days. It never rains but it pours, there were no vacant in every residence. So unfortunately we had to stay at littlebit expensive Hotel, which is here 'Raddison Blue Hotel'. But, blessing in disguise! This hotel was such a nice Hotel. I had wonderful breakfast at here. There was plenty of eggs and delicious bacon, sausage and ham. Also I had another wonderful news from my airline, they told us they are gonna pay every single fees about this wonderful residence. P.S. My room's coffee machine was broken. So I had to give 4stars, but never mind, everything was Okay except for that tiny little thing.

I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and my room had a nice sea view. The location is great, and the airport express bus stops right in front of the hotel. On two days, the room was cold, so I contacted the staff and they provided a heater, which worked very well. One of the highlights was seeing the Northern Lights from the hotel, which was absolutely amazing. The only downside is that it is quite expensive

The location is unbeatable. Amazing actually. Breakfast is nice. Rooms aren't really cleaned daily. Actually super below par. They need to improve. They make the bed and that is it. They need to improve housekeeping.

The hotel is situated near to all attractions with easy access to the centre, bus and taxi services, We feel the hotel would be even better if it provided in house bar and restaurant dining facilities during the evening rather than having to go to another building which was always full with little seating. The hotel is spacious with many pleasant and useful, but unused, areas that could be used for guests to relax in with a drink in the evening after a tiring day.

Perfect location to visit this amazing place on Earth. Convenient airport express drop-off and pick-up right in front of the hotel. It’s ideally located near the city centre and major attractions. The breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding—the best I’ve had in all my travels. Easily 10 stars for breakfast alone! The room was spotlessly clean and offered an amazing harbor view. I’ve stayed at Radisson properties many times, and this hotel was yet another great experience. The only downside was the lack of availability for both early check-in and late check-out, which are supposed to be benefits of the Radisson Premium rewards program. As feedback, better communication between housekeeping and management could help. Early check-ins and late check-outs should be possible with improved room management.

While the rooms look a little dated, what I really liked about this hotel was the staff and their customer service. They were all super helpful especially Edith who really gave time to ensure their guests were happy. ||From being able to take some breakfast away for early starting trips, to giving guests small little handmade local Christmas presents, it was these small but highly appreciated gestures that really made the stay here very nice.||The location is also superb as you are in the center and you can get some really nice views from the rooms.||It really made my first time in Tromso very easy so would recommend for this.

Location great, staff and service okay. A big, busy hotel with little warmth or soul but did what we needed. Apparently double/queen beds have to be pre reserved meaning you can only get a twin bed set up if you havent pre requested the double. Which was new news to us and odd vs our experience at other Radissons. Breakfast options are good but masses of guests all trying to get the same food at once. Overpriced hotel, some will like this type of hotel but for us it just ticked a box for one night in Tromso pre travelling further into Norway.

My time at the Radisson in Tromsø was very pleasant. My spouse and I stayed for a few nights in one of the smaller rooms which did feel a tad bit cramped, so if we could do over our experience we probably would've paid extra for the next size up room. The location was extremely convenient, it's close to the water/boat docks and next door to most tourism agencies. As far as amenities go, we only visited the hotel gym on the last day of our stay but it was very spacious with lots of free weights and machines. There's also a balcony connected to the gym which makes for a nice lookout, you can see the Arctic Cathedral across the water which is very beautiful and lit up at night. We didn't try the breakfast while there so I cannot speak to that, but overall, it was a nice stay and I would definitely come back again!

Stayed here over the winter holidays for an aurora hunt. This hotel is nicely positioned in the center of the city. The convenience of staying here is a lot of tours will pick up in the lobby. The complimentary daily breakfast is pretty good - lots of variety and plenty of fresh juices; beats eating outside as Tromso is not exactly a culinary destination. The roof top view (where the gym is located) is grand. You can open the door to go on the balcony where you get an awesome view of the city. Definitely check it out if you are staying here.

I appreciate that this hotel offers a special room type catering to solo travellers. It's called the "cosy small room" and the name is accurate. Critically, it gets the job done by lowering expenses, while maintaining the quality you'd expect from a full-service hotel. Service was great and a hot buffet breakfast was included in my room rate. I had an early flight the second morning, so they prepped me a cold breakfast in a paper bag to take away.

I didn't actually stay in this hotel, but I did utilize their tour service desk and the lady that assisted me went above and beyond in helping me to find just the right tour to do the afternoon I was there. The lobby is clean and the staff is very friendly. There is a small café in the lobby area where you can enjoy an assortment of hot and cold drinks. The hotel lobby itself exudes a warm atmosphere

Absolutely horrendous service. The lack of professionalism and sympathy we received from the Tomsø Radisson Blu staff was appalling. My aunt and I made a non-refundable booking to stay at the Radisson Blu hotel in Tromsø for four nights. This because we were certain that we would go on our trip that was only a few weeks away with flights booked and everything. So we booked the hotel via booking.com (a service we have been using for years and trust). Unfortunately, a week before the trip my aunt got ill (high fever and couldn't leave bed). Two days later we receive the devastating news that her childhood best friend and neighbour of over 40 years died. My aunt was too ill to even attend the funeral much less get on a plane and fly to Tromsø. While being very sick with barely any voice to speak my aunt went back and forth speaking to the Radisson staff and to Booking.com explaining the situation to them and trying to reach an agreement. Ideally we just wanted to move the booking by a few weeks to give her recovery time. The hotel staff showed such little sympathy. [We called the hotel to cancel and they said that if it were up to them they would cancel but this had to be done with Booking.com, as the reservation was made with them. Booking.com said that they would be happy to cancel the reservation or change it with approval from the Radisson Blu. The Radisson blu denied approval. Every time we spoke to the hotel staff it was a different excuse as to why it could not be cancelled (Booking.com, hotel policy, booking.com commission and other conflicting excuses). ] No one would take responsibility for it being Radisson Blu policy. No one could explain why we could not do it. We could not even speak to a manager to get a coherent answer. We would have appreciated a sincere explanation of the cancellation policy but were not even afforded that. The whole time the staff seemed indignated and fixated on the fact that we made the booking via booking.com rather than on the Radisson website directly. The fact that we were unable to receive a straightforward and direct response on a motive why we could not alter the booking just goes to show the lack of effort. I have never experienced such condescending service. Especially during such a difficult time we would have appreciated a little bit of humaneness from the staff's part. For a hotel chain that prides itself in making "memorable experiences" for their guests, this most certainly was a horrendous one.

Good hotel; breakfast ist OK but could be better. It's clean but a bit old-fashioned and could be refurbished.
