Radisson Blu Park Hotel Athens (Athens, Greece) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s been in the family since 1976 and its elegant tree trunk pillars and colour-changing leaves are inspired by the park opposite. Contemporary bedrooms come in browns and greens and most have park views. The Asian restaurant overlooks The Acropolis and moves up to the rooftop to serve BBQ and pasta dishes in summer. Casual Gallo Nero offers Tuscan-inspired fare." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel is very comfortable, breakfast good. Top floor restaurant is beautiful but the hotel is advertised as having a swimming pool. Unfortunately, swimming was not allowed in the pool. |Food options very limited and expensive in the top floor bar in the evenings but there were plenty of good place to eat nearby.|We were not very impressed at being kicked out of the seating area on the ground floor for a private party. Fine, if there is more than one area but we were left sitting at a table in the breakfast bar to wait for our transport.|The priority is clearly conferences rather than tourists. |It is a safe, comfortable and well located in Athens but don’t bring a family here.

From the moment you walk into reception you are greeted by friendly staff. Checked in very early but not a problem bags stored safely till the room was ready. Relaxed on the roof terrace. Room is immaculate and views of Athens is great. Close to the park and statue of Athena. Shopping just a short walk. Bed is a nice super king 6ft wide.

Two of us stayed here for two nights before joining a cruise. We arrived late and were delighted to find they were still serving food on the top floor. We sat beside the pool and enjoyed a Club Sandwich and beer. Our room was nice. Breakfast was good with a huge choice. We didn’t eat dinner as we went on a Food Tour in town! We got an Uber back and somehow I dropped my phone in it. We tracked it on ‘Find my iPhone’ and chased it in a taxi until the battery died! I managed to get onto the Uber website by toggling my iPad and eventually got the driver’s phone number. He’d taken my phone to the Central Police station so at 11pm we got a taxi there to collect it! The hotel Reception staff were amazingly helpful to us throughout. Great hotel …

I had a very disappointing experience during my 3-night stay at this property, and unfortunately it fell far short of what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Rooftop bar service: We waited for an hour and no one came to take our order. Drinks were spilled around the pool beds and left unattended. When we asked why this wasn’t cleaned despite staff passing by, the waiter told us she was “waiting for housekeeping” – which felt like nonsense. Pricing vs. service: Two cappuccinos cost €12, which might be acceptable with quality service, but here it was simply unreasonable. Pool area: The lifeguard was sitting at the bar, so we had to go and request towels ourselves. Room allocation: We were placed next to the housekeeping room, so every morning we were woken up by their noise. Housekeeping quality: Very poor – the bed linen was straightened but not changed, mineral water was never refilled, the bathroom was not cleaned once, and even cups were taken away without replacement. Breakfast: This was the only positive aspect – decent and acceptable. Check-out: When leaving, nobody asked how our stay was. The lack of care or interest in guest feedback was the final disappointment. Overall, I cannot recommend this property. The service is nowhere near 5-star level.

The rooms we first got we were not clean, the sink and the bathrooms had traces of previous guests (don't ask me). The staff let us change the rooms. They were a little better. |The walls are thin and you can hear what is going on in the hallways. Another thing that I did not see in the reviews but find important is that windows open wide, and if you have little kids (we did) you need to be careful. |The hotel needs major upgrade. The design is very outdated. |Now to the things that were good. Bedlinen was clean, white and crispy. The staff! They are great. All the people whom we interacted with, including the reception, restaurant and parking, were extremely kind and friendly. Breakfast was good and provided local choices as well. The roof terrace is beautiful. The hotel locations is good, relatively close to various attractions. I wish all the best to the people who work at the hotel, they were doing a good job. Thanks.

Enjoyed staying at the Radisson Blu Park Hotel. The room was comfortable, reasonably sized and clean and the staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast is worth it as plenty of options and fresh. The rooftop restaurant isn't as good as some of the restaurants in the area - especially for the pricing. The pool is nice and the gym was fairly standard but not crowded.

I was expecting a lot from this hotel, given its 5 stars. Unfortunately, it was slightly disappointing. As a 5 star hotel and considering the cost, I expect the service to be exceptional. We stayed 5 nights and we only got our room cleaned once by housekeeping, and only because we requested it to be done. We also had to request extra pillows not once but twice because our request was not followed up on. There was also mould all throughout the shower which made me concerned regarding the hotel’s cleanliness. The staff at the pool bar were also very inefficient and inattentive. The main positive is the rooftop restaurant as the staff were lovely and the food was delicious.

Great Stay – Much Better Than the Reviews Suggest We stayed at the Radisson Blu Athens for six nights and were honestly puzzled by the many negative reviews we had read beforehand. While the hotel may not be brand new, our overall experience was very positive and far exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite with a stunning view of the Acropolis and received all VIP perks thanks to our status. A complimentary bottle of wine welcomed us in the room — a thoughtful touch that set a great tone for the stay. The hotel is indeed a bit dated in terms of decor, but everything works as it should — and when service, cleanliness, and hospitality are at this level, the age of the interior becomes rather irrelevant. The room and bathroom were spotless clean, as were all common areas. Bed linen was changed twice during our six-day stay, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were kind and professional — from the bellboy and front desk to the breakfast and bar teams. The morning buffet was far above typical Greek standards, with plenty of variety and attentive service. A real highlight is the rooftop pool and bar area — a wonderful place to unwind with great views and a calm atmosphere. The staff here, too, were magnificent: welcoming, service-minded, and always on point. The gym was well-equipped and clean, and the hotel is located in a more authentic, less touristy part of the city, which we appreciated. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, with warm hospitality, high standards of cleanliness, and reliable service throughout. We would happily stay here again.
