Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Ljubljana

We spent the night at this lovely Radisson hotel located on the edge of Ljubljana. Getting there by car is easy —thanks to the ring road, it’s easily accessible from all directions. While the city center is a few kilometers away, a fast and reliable public bus service runs right past the hotel, making commuting simple. Some reviews mention the parking fees as a downside, but in any major city, paying for a secure and high-quality parking garage is to be expected. We were very satisfied with the parking options provided by the hotel. Our room was clean and spacious enough for a comfortable stay and had a good sound insulation. Bed gave a good night sleep. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was a exceptionally good, generous, and varied. It offered everything from fresh fruit and pastries to hot dishes and great coffee. The only drawback was the check-in policy: it starts strictly at 3 PM. Apparently, even if rooms are ready earlier, they won’t accommodate guests before that time. This can lead to a bit of a bottleneck and chaos right at 3 PM. One would think it might be in the hotel’s own interest to allow earlier check-ins when possible. Despite that, we’d happily stay here again!

We stayed at the Radisson for 4 nights for a family holiday (4 people with a baby). The hotel is primarily geared towards business travelers. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast is good, but that’s about the only positive. We requested two taxis, one of them with a child seat. The hotel called a company that charges almost double compared to standard Ljubljana taxi services, and no taxi with a child seat ever arrived. Housekeeping starts very early, around 7:30 a.m., leaving vacuum cleaners running in the corridors. During our 4-day stay, the sheets were never changed, and the bathroom bin was not emptied once. We also asked about laundry service for baby clothes – the hotel doesn’t offer such a service. The only option provided was €15 per item, which is unreasonable. Parking costs around €15 per day, but spaces are not assigned. Many cars occupy two spots, so it can be difficult to find parking when you return. The location is not convenient for a holiday, as it is far from the city center by public transport.

The hotel is located in a convenient area – not directly in the historic city center, but easily accessible by car or taxi. There's a shopping mall and several restaurants nearby, which is practical if you don’t want to go far. The room was clean, modern, and cozy. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and everything felt well maintained. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere at night – despite the size of the hotel, it was peaceful in the room. Breakfast was varied, with both hot and cold options. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful, whether at the reception or in the restaurant. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. The only minor downside is the distance from the city center for those who prefer to walk. We were traveling with a three-year-old child, and each taxi ride to the center cost around €10. Overall, I rate the stay as very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfortable and reliable accommodation in Ljubljana.

The AC in our room does not get cooler. We didn't have complimentary water in the rooms because they said we can use tap water. Totally understand that but if they want guests to do that, they should provide guests with refillable water bottles in the room. Breakfast selection is good.

Everything was just excellent from the polite and welcoming reception staff to room cleanliness, comfort and restaurant service. Location is bit outside the city so a car is needed but plenty of shopping in the vicinity. Extra compliments to the pet friendlyness.||If you want no nasty surprices during the travel this hotel is a fantastic choice. Apparently run by a very capable management team. It is easy to compliment places like this when everything just works.

Great hotel in Ljubljana’s BTC shopping area. Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, and convenient underground parking. Not in the strict city center, but more affordable. Highly recommended!

Hotel is well located for visiting Slovenia by car and to hop over to Ljubljana by car or taxi (but nearly 1h if walking). Room is well layout and nearly luxurious. Young receptionist was very professional during check in and breakfast was one of the best one can have nowadays. Just as a little advice it would be useful that they indicate that post check out the deposit may take a few days to be refunded (by the credit card co).

Lovely place to stay in Ljubljana. about 30 mins drive from the airport, the staff is very warm and welcoming. The standard room which we stayed in was up to the mark, nice and clean, surprising spacious as well for European standards. The breakfast is lovely, not a huge spread, but whatever was provided was super tasty and nice. The added advantage is the location with a bus stop right outside the hotel from where you can get direct buses to the central area. There is a mall as well adjacent to the hotel and also a playing arena. Overall a fabulous experience and will definitely recommend everyone to stay at Radisson . We stayed here for 3N and absolutely loved our stay. Well done to the team, keep up the good work!
