We have often liked both the staff and the rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ljubljana/Slovenia! Today, 16/6-25 at 6:30 p.m., we were looking forward to coming to the hotel again after a long drive from Croatia, and with happy memories and hungry, we took a seat in the restaurant. The first meeting with the waiter gave us a bad feeling! He looked at us as if we were not good enough to come in, we were nicely dressed for the summer! He gave us the menu and told us that today they also have a buffet because a group of Arabs is coming. When I asked what meat was included, chicken and fish etc. that are normally included in the buffet, but not pork, he replied. My question was then whether the meat was halal slaughtered and the answer was affirmative. Then I wanted something non-halal, but his answer was that all meat in the Radisson is halal, since it is an international hotel. But all the guests you have are not Muslims and might not want halal slaughtered products, I wondered! The waiter just shrugged his shoulders and said that meat is meat! I wondered if he even knew what halal meant, and yes he did! We decided to go and eat something else at the bar and thanked him, because this waiter was very arrogant to the point of being really rude, and I added that from now on we can no longer stay here! Radisson may be an international and nice hotel, but with such staff with a superior attitude and no service mind, you will lose many guests!
