Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Ljubljana

Here on business. Nice room but really uncomfortable temperature. Way too warm. All windows sealed so you can’t get fresh air and air con doesn’t go below 19 degrees. Totally stifling. Bar shuts at 10pm which is irritating as we have business clients with us. Overall it’s a nice hotel but It’s an experience to be endured rather than enjoyed. Update: Asked reception if someone could assist in getting aircon to actually cool the room. Nothing they can do apparently. Such a miserable stay here.

The location is great, easy to get everywhere. The staff are polite, and the cleanliness and quality are as they should be. The parking fee is a bit unnecessarily expensive, and although you don't actually need parking, they prefer not to tell you 😅 Overall, it's as it should be.

Our stay at this hotel was simply phenomenal. Personnel were very helpful and friendly, and we were very impressed by the quality of the rooms, which were so cozy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the food service for breakfast, which was very pleasant. I highly recommend this place, 5 stars and many more is my final rate!

We stayed at the Radisson for 4 nights for a family holiday (4 people with a baby). The hotel is primarily geared towards business travelers. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast is good, but that’s about the only positive. We requested two taxis, one of them with a child seat. The hotel called a company that charges almost double compared to standard Ljubljana taxi services, and no taxi with a child seat ever arrived. Housekeeping starts very early, around 7:30 a.m., leaving vacuum cleaners running in the corridors. During our 4-day stay, the sheets were never changed, and the bathroom bin was not emptied once. We also asked about laundry service for baby clothes – the hotel doesn’t offer such a service. The only option provided was €15 per item, which is unreasonable. Parking costs around €15 per day, but spaces are not assigned. Many cars occupy two spots, so it can be difficult to find parking when you return. The location is not convenient for a holiday, as it is far from the city center by public transport.

I stayed twice in this hotel. First time with a group of friends ( other people reserved) and this time with my husband. Everything is great; cleanliness, fantastic breakfast, warm and tidy room, garage. Only shade is deposit ( I payed by cash on arrival and gave our passeports but they still took my card and reserved 100€ of deposit). They released it 24h after our departure but banks keep money much longer. In my case it is 3 weeks… I think this praxis is insulting and definitly no need for it especialy cause cleaning ladies check room and mini bar before departure… Staff was polite and helpful.

Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel is a nice, relatively modern hotel conveniently located in the BTC shopping park, making it a practical choice for both business and leisure stays.||We stayed in a Junior Suite, which, while not offering a particularly attractive view, was spacious and comfortable. The suite featured a pleasant seating area and a large bedroom, making it well suited for a longer or more relaxed stay.||Breakfast was a definite highlight. The buffet was extensive and well organized, with a good variety of options, including some traditional Slovenian specialties, which was a nice local touch.||That said, the experience was let down by the lack of recognition of Radisson Rewards status. We hold the highest tier with Radisson, yet there was no acknowledgment at all. Despite there being a clearly marked separate line at the front desk for premium and VIP members, this was not respected, and we were asked to wait in the general queue with all other guests. The room upgrade was only provided after we explicitly pointed out our entitlement. Both check-in and check-out felt very cold and transactional, with no “welcome back” or “thank you for staying with us again,” which was disappointing for a loyalty-focused brand like Radisson.||Overall, despite the shortcomings in loyalty recognition and front-office warmth, I would still recommend the hotel for its comfort, location, and strong breakfast offering.

Stayed 2 days on business. The hotel is practical if you don’t need frequent city-center access — about a 15-min taxi ride (10–15 EUR). A plus: only 10 min on foot to City Park Mall with shops and cafés. Breakfast was excellent, the restaurant serves quality dinners from 19:00, and for late lunch the bar menu worked fine (I had beef soup and a burger). The bar itself is very good — I’d recommend trying the local Balkan Pelinkovac. Facilities are limited: no spa, and the fitness room is a very basic converted meeting room. Recommendation for the hotel team to change the water policy - charging 2.5 EUR for small bottles of water (over 300% margin) for basic necessity is inappropriate. Travelers make long miles to get to you, pay fair room rates, and spend extra in F&B - basics like complimentary water for all are a must. If not, take a cue from your Nordic colleagues: be transparent and proudly highlight the quality of local tap water, given your beautiful nature surroundings. Summary: a solid business option with good F&B.

I like this hotel chain, which I use frequently. I wasn't disappointed. The rooms are large and spacious. They're cleaned daily. The most important thing for me is the breakfast. There's a wide selection of food, delicious and refilled very quickly. There are two espresso machines, and there's no line for them. However, it's not the same espresso as the one served in the restaurant. My only complaint is the limited equipment in the gym. Overall, I highly recommend it.
