Had an enjoyable stay here. Rooms are comfortable with a nice bathroom. Comfy bed with a pillow menu available if the 2 options on the bed are not to your liking. The location in Martin Place is really convenient and a perfect launchpad to access anywhere in the city either via the light rail or on foot Nice buffet breakfast with heaps of variety. Fresh cooked omelettes to order, everything you would expect on a hot buffet + some extras like carved leg ham. Cheeses , pastries , danishes, + heaps more. Would definitely stay again

The stay from check in to departure was 5 star. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We stayed on level 10 and made use of the business lounge. A special thanks to the two lovely ladies - Nadia and Duyanne (sorry if misspelled). They made time to chat and give us specialized service in the lounge, even having a dairy free option custom made for breakfast on our last day. The room was exceptionally clean, with a turn down service. Bed was large and comfortable. Location is fantastic, we attended an event at State Theatre which was an easy 7 min walk along Pitt st. A stroll in the other direction took us to Circular Quay and the markets at the Rocks. Valet parking topped it off, knowing the hotel took care of our vehicle was comforting.

It was our first time staying at Radisson, and the experience was incredible. The hotel is conveniently located close to Circular Quay and the Botanic Garden, making it easy to explore the area. The room was clean and the bed linens comfortable, contributing to a relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which added to our positive experience. We look forward to visiting the hotel again in the future.

We had a 2 night stay and our experience was great. Full points to the cleanliness and the location. The rooms are sparklingly clean and the bathrooms look glamorous. We didn’t use any room service so cannot comment on that. Location is absolutely 💯. It is a 7 min walk to circular quay station so public transport is just a stone’s throw away. The ambience of the hotel is good and the beds were comfortable. Overall a perfect stay for our short trip !

Positive: The hotel is centrally located, and all staff members were very nice and helpful! The hotel's breakfast was outstanding with its variety of delicious food and drinks. The hot tub and steam room were also nice and relaxing. Overall, I highly recommend! Negative: ""

We were so impressed with our visit to Radisson Blu Plaza hotel. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary there, and we received a complimentary bottle of bubbly and a room upgrade when we mentioned this! The hotel is immaculate, the staff are super helpful and attentive, and the facilities are wonderful. We loved the swimming pool, spa and sauna, and the full buffet breakfast was amazing. One of the most welcome perks was the 12 noon checkout time, which gave us the whole morning to enjoy our stay at the hotel, and being able to cast to the in-room TV was also fantastic. I offer this hotel my highest recommendation.

Great central hotel in the centre of Sydney! So close to everything in the city. Rooms are a good size, pool is nice. Steam room was lovely. The jacuzzi/hot tub is average. Gym is tight but pretty good for a hotel gym! Room amenities are excellent.

Google
An easy five star for this hotel 🙌🏻 the location is super strategic, close to the shopping district, and opera house too. The room was spacious, comfortable and also modern. There was a very nice man in the front lobby who greeted us every morning and night. Super recommended!!

Yelp
This place is one of the best I've been to for Raddison. It's located downtown Sydney and about 5 miles from the airport. We are on the 10th floor and next to the business private buffet room just for business class members. The staff here are so polite and extremely helpful. The food here is delicious and can not wait to return. Raddison, you got my vote as I felt very comfortable staying here. Semper Fi.......

Yelp
Classic hotel with everything you expect- restaurant, bar, concierge, bags taken to room, tea and coffee, ice delivery, minibar, glasses and coffee mugs, tub and separate shower, spacious room and bath, the usual. The location is great with gardens, parks, museums, the opera house, and waterfront restaurants a 15-minute walk away. The hotel is a 15-minute taxi ride from the cruise port. The room windows are sealed, which keeps street noise to a minimum, and there is a convenience store as well as a coffee shop across the street, so what more do you need?

Yelp
The Radisson Blu on Connel Street sits in a historic and imposing building in the heart of Sydney's downtown. It is within easy walking distance of the port, botanic gardens, art museum and many other sites of interest. The staff is polite, helpful, and professional. The lobby and attached bar and restaurant are spacious and nicely furnished. Our room is large, well appointed with a large bathroom that has a full bath plus a shower. Nice fluffy towels and robes in the room, as well.

Yelp
Booked two rooms over two months in advance. Showed up and they didn't have any rooms. Said there was a "plumbing issue" with both rooms. They obviously overbooked. Will never stay in a Radison again.

Yelp
I didn't book this hotel myself but stayed here for a 2-week stint in Sydney. It is very centrally located in the Sydney CBD and pretty much within walking distance to anywhere you'd want to go. It is a 8-10 minute walk to the wharf, which is phenomenal especially if you want to get out of the city center; 15 minutes from the Sydney opera house; 5-7 minutes from the Botanic Garden. My only complaint is the lack of eateries in the area that are open past 5PM. The buffet breakfast was pretty awesome in the mornings (6:30-10?AM). They have a wide selection of foods for any taste, an omelette bar, and even fresh squeezed orange juice! They also have an Nespresso machine that they put in the lobby between the wee hours of morning (I've been down there as early as 5AM) to 6:30AM when the restaurant opens for breakfast. The espresso is far better in quality and taste than the coffee they serve otherwise (at breakfast or in your room). Service was impeccable from the housekeeping staff to the concierge. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Sydney, on business or for leisure!

Yelp
I stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. I had an early flight in and had to wait to get a room until 1.30pm. They did offer to hold my bag and provided access to gym/pool/locker while I waited for the room. Day 1 was horrible as they gave me the worst room possible. It was an accessible room meaning everything was low. The bathroom didn't have doors and the toilet flush was not in the usual spot. They were fully booked for the first day due to Vivid Sydney weekend, however they promised to upgrade me to a better room for the next 2 days. The upgraded room was much better although day 1 left a bad taste. Location is pretty good, close to Botanical garden, Opera House and other attractions.

Yelp
Doubtlessly, this hotel has the historic charm that some history buffs are looking for. (once home to the Fairfax newspaper empire and the prestigious Bank of New South Wales) Architecturally, many elements have been successfully married in here. The impressive old windows got modern fellow-windows that help with the soundproofing effectively. I was really positively surprised the busy street from the below didn't get into the room at all. Pluses - Good enough location - still walking distance from Sydney Opera House, Botanical Garden, Wharf, Queen Victoria Building, or Martin Place. - Attentive and courteous service - Simple yet elegant room decor - Spacious room - Very tall ceilings - In-room coffee and tea facilities - Good pillows selection Minuses: - The lobby stinks with cigarettes and something stuffy - The room feels damp - Small and very acoustic bathroom - There is just one nightstand - Not enough space for cosmetics in the bathroom - Not enough hangers for towels and bathrobes - there was only one hook in the whole bathroom - The TV is way too small for the size of the room - Very limited TV channels selection - Warned out towels - Chipped grout - No small milk containers for coffee in the room - The sink clogged - No toilet brush - The shower is not a kids' friendly - has no hand shower, and the stream is super strong

Yelp
Another pleasant stay at the Radisson Blu Sydney over New Years 2016. The Radisson Blu continues to provide friendly service, comfortable rooms, and a convenient location in the CBD. Arriving around 22:00 on the 29th, we were immediately welcomed and quickly checked in. Our room was a bit smaller then our prior stay, but more than adequate for our three nights at the hotel. The bathroom was large with a shower and tub, AND great water pressure! We were given a bowl of fruit and mineral water as gold status. Beds were comfortable and additional pillows were easily ordered to our room. Only downside was smaller television and sometimes slow elevator service. Otherwise, could not have asked for a better stay at the radisson blu sydney! Would continue to recommend the Radisson Blu for anyone traveling through the city and looking for a central comfortable hotel. Looking forward to retuning again in the future!

Yelp
We were thoroughly impressed with this hotel and would return in a heartbeat. We stayed there because that's the hotel our travel agency booked us with. First, the hotel is nice! It is clean, modern, and organized well. The location is the best! You're like a 5 min walk from the circular quay, the Sydney Opera House, the botanical garden, etc. we walked everywhere and the hotel is in the perfect location. The staff are superb!!! Everyone from the bellboy to the front desk are courteous and friendly. We felt very welcomed by everyone, and they went out of their way to make our stay special. We mentioned that it was our honeymoon, and we came home from a day away to a personalized note and a bottle of champagne from the hotel manager to congratulate us-- talk about wow factor and unexpected! We loved our room and the big bathroom. The bed is like a cloud, and it is so quite for being in the heart of Sydney. The next time that we come to Sydney, we will be staying here!

Yelp
I was lucky to have one of the newly renovated rooms, because it was pretty awesome. It even had that new paint smell. I had like 8 or 9 pillows, with a bath and a shower in the bathroom. Wi-fi included too. Nice large indoor pool with a jacuzzi and their gym facility was pretty state of the art. Nice walking distance to the rocks and circular quay area too.

Yelp
A smaller boutique style hotel located in the heart of Sydney within walking distance of all the major sights including the opera house, ferry terminal (circular quay) and iconic harbor bridge. We stayed here for 3 nights as a part of a two week holiday in Australia and to celebrate the new year. We had two rooms on the 1st floor (really the third the way we count them in the USA) with really high ceilings and a long marble bathroom. We switched one of the rooms after the first night so we could have a king size bed. The hotel was very helpful in making this change and even moved our luggage for us while we were out sight seeing. Altogether a pleasant stay made even more pleasant by the gracious and friendly staff. Highly recommended. P.s. The hotel has a nice bar in the lobby and a restaurant as well.

Yelp
Not awful but not amazing either. Club Carlson GOLD status NOT recognized AT ALL- the designated line is complete BS. I was standing on it but the receptionist basically told me to wait because someone else was there first from the regular line and she wanted to service this guy ahead of me. Seriously, what's the point of having a designated line in the first place? You'll just be ignored and treated like everyone else. Also everyone seems to get free wifi here so no point joining their loyalty program. To note: no room upgrade as promised for being Club Carlson Gold because it was "The Queens Birthday" and they were fully booked- so we had to settle for a queen sized bed which was SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. My boyfriend and I ended up needing massages because we were so sore and bent out of shape. At least we got quiet rooms far from the elevator as we had requested. Wow. Also, our super long flight had us landing in Sydney around 8:30am. We were unable to check in until 11:30, so they sent us to the gym/pool/locker room area to shower and freshen up. +1 for that. HOWEVER, I noticed luggages were not stowed safely in a room!!! This is a big deal actually- they're left by side of the entrance with a red velvet rope along the periphery indicating that it was off limits but come on...what is up with not securing it in a room?! Anyway they were brought up to our rooms automatically once they were ready. Location: Central Business District, you're closest train stop is Wynyard Station. Bustling during your usual M-F am and rush hour after work. Also, note no food options really around between 3p-6p! Everything shuts down, even the hotel restaurant. When you're jetlagged and hungry, it's literally the worst thing... Cleanliness and Housekeeping: Pretty damn good. I left a pair of earrings on the nightstand and it was still there. Honest staff. We always had fresh towels and new soap. View: of other windows and super close buildings. Basically no view. Pool: Great, no complaints. Jacuzzi: lukewarm, but clean. Tip: all extra charges to the room will incur an additional fee (1.5% I think) for using your CC. So everyone is basically taking up space and receptionists time trying to pay in cash like the slow good old days...seriously ridiculous. I probably would stay elsewhere the next time I'm in Sydney.

Yelp
When I discovered this hotel (having been priced out of higher-end chains in Sydney CBD) I couldn't have been more impressed with the value and experience. As it turns out, umpteen stays later, I only get more and more impressed with my experience. Turns out I'm a junkie for the Business Class rooms and the feelings we get every time we visit the Lounge - it's so much smaller and more intimate than most other chains in Sydney, but not short on the facilities and service standards. From the doorman who greets us, valet who parks our car, and reception staff who check us in; each interaction is pleasant and comforting. For early arrivals or the generally shattered traveller, bookings through the chain's website offer the possibility of requesting early room availability (and it's often worked for us) for a marginal extra cost. This is my "go-to" hotel in Sydney, and it would take a serious difference in value offering (or a lack of Business Class rooms) to keep me from choosing to stay here. I'd rather change my travel dates! Oh, and I do have Club Carlson membership (only standard), but have not found it beneficial to stand on the members lane for attention and, although I sympathise with Gold members, don't rely on expecting an upgrade to get me a good room.

Yelp
Radisson Blu was home for my first week in Sydney, chosen for its convenience from the airport by train, and for its proximity to work and tourist attractions alike. Check-in was a delight and a breeze; staff were cheerful, accommodating, and welcoming. I was situated on the top floor in one of their deluxe rooms which was well appointed and quite comfortable. The spacious bathroom was the show-stealer with its grand soaking tub and separate shower. My stay would also have been peaceful had it not been for the toilet which ran all night. I notified the staff on my way out the next morning. They were apologetic and said it would be tended to right away. Returning that evening the toilet was worse than before. I slept with the bathroom door closed and my head buried under my pillow. Notifying them once again the next morning they offered to change my room and I gladly accepted. My second room's toilet was fully functioning; however, the heater/aircon was not. The heat would either blast until I turned off the thermostat, or at times when I tried to turn on the heat it would not work at all. I called the front desk and they were very prompt in sending someone up. Unfortunately, this someone spoke down to me as he instructed me on how to work the thermostat (which I was fully capable of working and which was not working any better for him despite his great knowledge) and then suggested the issue was that I'm unfamiliar with Celsius (not only does the thermostat have a Fahrenheit setting, but I'm Canadian and happen to know my way around Celsius, thank you very much), then left congratulating himself when the heat came on randomly like it had been doing all along. The issue persisted the next day, and when I notified the staff again (same gentleman) I was able to inform him of a diagnostic code that showed on the thermostat display. I let him know I'd looked it up online and found that a sensor needed replacing. His response was "well sorry about that, I'm not an engineer," excusing his inability to help the other night. He promised someone would be up that day while I was out and that if they were unable to fix the problem that they would change rooms (yet again). Arriving back that night I checked in with the front desk before heading up to my room. They said they would find out if the problem had been fixed and call up to let me know. Nobody called, and I soon found that nothing had changed. At this point there were only two nights left to my stay, so I didn't push the issue and just lived with intermittent heat. Pluses to my stay were the comfortable lounge which was surprisingly sparsely attended mornings and provided a quiet place for coffee and toasted banana bread (recommended). The lap pool, spa, and steam room were very inviting. Room service was prompt, portions generous, and the food was utterly delicious. I also took advantage of their pillow menu which offered a wide assortment of pillows for all your sleeping needs. I wouldn't be disappointed if I ended up back at the Radisson Blu on a future stay, but it would not be my first pick with so many other options in the immediate vicinity.

Yelp
I ended up booking a room for 3 nights at The Radisson Blu via the app Hotel Tonight. It was a bit of a splurge price wise, but it was my birthday weekend so I treated myself. From the very first second I set foot on the property, I was treated like royalty. Doors opened. Smiles given. I arrived really early so my room wasn't ready. Normally an eye-roll inconvenience, but the incredibly sweet bellman gave me awesome advice as to what to do, directions and enough activities (almost by osmosis) to keep me busy until my room was ready. I had an amazing 3.5 hour excursion and returned to find that not only was my room (which was INSANE!!) was ready, but my bag had already been delivered to my room. I made my way back downstairs to find him and gave him a huge tip. The room was gorgeous! Super clean, exactly my design aesthetic. I was compelled to do a Facebook Live post just to share it with my friends. Everyone on the property at every level greeted me with a smile and were incredibly gracious. I guess I had somehow mentioned that it was my birthday during the registration process. When I returned to my room after teaching a class on my birthday, there was a lovely "Happy Birthday" note and a plate full of HUGE chocolate-covered strawberries in my room. I mean COME. ON. !!! Checking out felt painful because I literally didn't want to leave. I have traveled extensively over the past 3 decades both as a businessman and ex-profession, touring musician. This experience was, by far, the most amazing display of TOP LEVEL customer service I have ever experienced. I've stayed at Ritzes, and 4 Seasons, and private islands...again, none of those experiences came close. That said, I give Radisson Blu Sydney my HIGHEST recommendation as a hotel that goes out of their way to make you feel as though you literally own the place. Nothing smarmy or rehearsed or disingenuous. Real people who care and go out of their way to let you know that. I'm back in Sydney in January. Not even interested in staying anywhere else but the Radisson Blu. In me, they have a customer FOR LIFE.

Yelp
Very nice stay! Everyone at the hotel was extremely pleasant -- which is more than I can say for the streets of Sydney [the city of cigarette smoke] -- all were honestly caring, I believe, in making sure we felt welcomed and happy. We were! Loved the swimming pool with the steam-room and hot tub. Plenty of towels with fresh delicious apples, complimentary, on the way out. Our little boy and I were even treated with personally hand-delivered chocolate treats and spring bottled water poolside by a very nice gentlemanly employee without even a request. Very nice. Only complaint I would have is I personally found the bed a little too soft for my liking; but that's just me.

Yelp
We arrived too early for check in and were told that we would have to wait till 1pm to gain access to our room. All fine and good as we're booked into a 'business class room' meaning that we get access to their Business Class Lounge with free snacks (sandwiches, fruit, pastries, biscuits) and drinks (Santa Vittoria water, juices, Nespresso coffee, a good variety of Twinings tea), plus free wifi, all in a lounge/dining space that resembles a posher version of a nice Qantas Club Lounge. 1 o'clock comes and goes and there's no call to tell us our room is ready. 2 o'clock and I'm starting to get fed up hanging around in the lounge so I ask a staff member to speak to Reception to find out the status of our room. Staff member gets back to me telling me that Reception will call back when the room is ready. It's almost 3.30pm when I decide to contact Reception myself. Apparently, they couldn't get through to us on the phone. Finally we get into our room around 4pm but our bag hasn't been brought up as they had informed us it would be. My patient man tells me to give them half an hour. I wait half an hour and then call to ask for our bag. Bag is then delivered promptly, and 10 minutes after this, the concierge is at the door with fresh fruit and bottled water for us. Nice touch. All is forgiven.

Yelp
Love this place. Made spur of the moment plans for Sydney & this hotel is one reason I was so jazzed to go. Even better than I expected! Everything you want in a hotel experience, helped quickly with any tourist questions I had, & all amenities were on point. ps hot doorman in top hat & tails - high fived on the way through the entrance. made my day

Yelp
I stayed here last year with my fiancé & we were both impressed with the room & service. We arrived after a red-eye from LA, and our room wasn't ready yet, so we showered & got ready in their spa/gym facilities, which were very nice & clean. The room was spacious & relaxing. The only thing I didn't like was that they had a window between the bathroom & the bedroom, so whenever I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I'm afraid that I'll wake-up my partner. The Nespresso machine & fresh fruit in the lobby are a nice touch as well. The location is great as well. It's an easy walk to the Royal Botanic gardens & the Opera house.

Yelp
Only come here in the morning for coffee. The barista is really good. The service is very friendly. This is a quiet place to have coffee, typical of a major hotel lobby. You're not going to be hanging out with the cool people. But at the same time your arse isn't going to get sore from sitting on a piece of off-cut wood that loosely resembles a "chair", in some exposed brick, back alley, pet friendly, grunge style cafe. The seats in Bistro Fax are comfortable and the atmosphere is pleasant and you don't have to watch someone else's dog lick its own private parts. As an added bonus, there is free WiFi that comes very close to broadband speed, unlike the sluggish GPRS speeds offered for free in some establishments. Actually, please ignore my rating. The place is shit and I want it for myself :-)

Yelp
This hotel was great in every way. I arrived on a very early flight and no rooms were available. I was offered a key to head up to the health club so I could shower and get comfortable after a long flight. This was much appreciated! They held my luggage for me, and it was in my room when I came back later in the day. The concierge was not familiar with the destination I requested, but found the information and gave me detailed information on transportation. The room was extremely comfortable, from the soft cushiony carpeting to the bed (with the thermostat located right above the nightstand). The room service was absolutely delicious. This was an excellent choice for accommodation in Sydney. The location was very convenient.

Yelp
The bar at the Radisson has one of the best bartenders I've ever met - and I've met a few. A manhattan is made with the original 1882 recipe as invented by Mr Johnson. Martini made with Poor Toms Gin is over the top awesome. Check it out- great atmosphere and awesome bar tending.

Yelp
Clean hotel room with a great location. We took the airport train to Wynyard Station. I had emailed ahead of time and the staff gave me excellent walking directions. We got in pretty late, around 11pm, and a bellhop was ready to take our luggage. We checked in quickly and got lots of information about the area. We told the bellhop our room number to have our luggage brought up and off to the room we went. The room is spacious enough for two people and clean. There is a small fridge with a mini bar and just enough space for you to put your own water in. No microwave though. The luggage came shortly after we got in and the bellhop was nice enough to give us directions to walk to the Opera House. Overall, the staff was friendly and the location is great for walking to The Rocks and the Opera House. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Outstanding customer service, clean modern rooms and bathroom, and in room dining food quality and taste is wonderful. Highly recommend to anyone when visiting Sydney. Business or personal trip this hotel is a great place to stay.

Yelp
I am giving this place five stars for hygiene & food safety. The Food Authority of NSW awarded them 5 out of 5, on 27/11/2014 as part of their scores on doors scheme. (Full list available on the City of Sydney website.)

Yelp
We have been here 3 nights so far and have only have a few minimal complaints. Check in was a breeze and friendly. We made our jet lagged tired behinds upstairs to find a very nice and comfortable room. It's decorated in modern dark wood furniture. Lots of natural light coming from the large window that over look the CBD. There is a desk with a desk chair and also a side table with a drawer that contains stationary. There is a comfortable sitting chair with a side end table. A very comfortable king sized bed with 2 night stands. A tv stand that has a refrigerator and mini bar. The bathroom is large and lovely; a stand in shower stall with great water pressure and also a large soak tub. The staff have been very friendly; we've had interactions with the fax bar staff, front desk, and housekeeping so far. Cons Let me begin by saying that we are here for 23 nights, which I anticipate is not the norm. Due to this long stay I would say that there is not enough storage for 2 people in the room. I have had to store our clothes in places that were not intended for clothes such as the night stand and also the stationary cabinet. We had to ask for additional hangers. The housekeeping staff were awesome; I called for additional hangers, a blanket, and pillows and they were sent up almost immediately!! The bathroom sink constantly drips; you have to be VERY aware of being sure that you tighten the knobs, even past where you would think would be suffice There isn't a recycling bin in the room, I am assuming they sort it down stairs!? We have been putting what we think is recyclable next to the bin in our room to make it easier!?? **this is not a con just a side note of sorts*** I love how Eco conscious try are; telling you to put towels you want switched out in the tub (as most hotels do at this point) and also a card on the bed if you want your bedding cleaned. The buffet breakfast is not worth it. This is our experience at every hotel we've stayed in. We thought it was over priced for the food that was offered. We have found the food in the local shops to be tastier for half the price. We will probably try room service at least once to see if that is worth it since the food at the fax bar was so good. But as I stated earlier, my complaints are minimal, feel almost nit picky to me at the moment. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would most certainly stay here again!!

Yelp
Really great hotel. When we were looking for hotels in Sydney, all the maps showed this place as if it was a pretty good distance from the Quay. Not the case. It is pretty close to the Quay, and in a good location to go a little further south. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a pretty serious room. The view wasn't great, but we had a huge room and bathroom. They also gave us champagne on our anniversary. The concierge was pretty helpful, but some of the recommendations they made were a little misguided. Free wifi, very clean, great stay.

Yelp
A lovely hotel with polite staff. No complaints. The room was clean and well-appointed.

Yelp
This hotel is just lovely and conveniently located. Good restaurants, shopping, Circular Quay, and the Opera house and even Museums are within walking distance. Our room was luxurious and well appointed. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Yelp
Always stay here when visiting on business. Well located for CBD meetings with relative 5star value. The building has history being formerly the home for Fairfax and The Bank of New South Wales.
