Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa, Mauritius

Really lovely hotel in a quiet spot. Lovely beach and facilities. Buffet and beach bar food was tasty and hot. Hospitality was fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. Adults only and relatively small which we loved. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable and great shower. We were upgraded to a beach front room which was so nice. We thought the whole trip was great value for money and feel truly relaxed. Many thanks to every member of the hotel staff for a lovely stay. |We also used the hotel taxi service for our trips and were very pleased with this service. |And a day at the Azuri sister hotel which you can use and there is a shuttle bus service.|Highly recommended

We highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very friendly but professional and nothing is too much trouble. Room, lobby, bars and facilities are excellent and very clean. Food caters a variety for all diets, food serving areas are kept immaculately clean - the waiters and chefs add a welcoming, personal touch on their service. ||Special thank you for Rahul and his staff at the front desk for his extremely professional customer service! From arriving we were made very welcome which was a great start for our vacation and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay.||Booking any excursions talk to Ram at the reception. His knowledge is priceless! The excursions booked through him, which is through the hotel, are more than half the price less compared to the travel company! You will be given your own taxi just for yourself and the drivers are great guides giving you information about the sites you see.||Special thanks to Vik, who was our taxi driver for the excursions. He went out of his way ensuring that each excursion was very enjoyable and relaxing. His knowledge of the island is excellent.

Hotel, very personable, and small which was nice. Only 100 rooms and all the guests we came across were friendly and pleasant. |The staff at the hotel are the biggest plus of this Hotel they do a terrific job, but they are in my view a little understaffed. |Kamraj, Davesh, Kelvin, Avinash and Louis were all fabulous always had a smile and always asking if you were ok. Drinks are ok, but the all inclusive package needs a bit of a rethink as there are far too many things not included. |The A La Carte both at lunch time and in the evening was excellent. The main restaurant was great for breakfast but not to my liking for dinner, sorry. |The A La Carte's at the sister hotel, the Italian excellent, Black Rock Steak Restaurant wasn't up too much and food wasn't great. |Grounds are nice, beach and pool area nice, gardens and grounds well maintained. |Rooms are a little smaller than I expected and not much storage space. |Very chilled environment, made by a wonderful team of staff who nothing was too much for. |Avinash you work tirelessly and always had a smile|Kelvin you always topped my beer up without asking which was nice|Kamraj a lovely guy hope your law career works well |Louis a lovely, pleasant happy 18 year old, nothing else to say|Davesh, always happy and pleasant|Kim in the main restaurant lovely guy|All the guest relations team are lovely|Like I said a few tweaks to the food in the main restaurant and some thought into the all inclusive package will make this very good hotel a great hotel. |Any issues we had were quickly and promptly dealt with, Alvin and Olivier, lovely helpful guys.

It was our first time visiting the magical island of Mauritius. We visited the resort to celebrate our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is clean, equipped with everything you need, near to the ocean, the rooms are well designed- a really memorable experience for us. The staff is friendly and caring, everyone looked after us during our holiday. The whole team deserves a big thank you. Special thanks to Shantanu, the best staff member we have met so far and made our time even more special. |We highly recommend the Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort&Spa. I normally can find something to moan about, but this place was the gift that just kept giving! I cannot say how beautiful this hotel is, the staff are impeccable, friendly, nothing too much trouble. All inclusive food was amazing every single day something different. Their attention to detail and cleanliness surpassed everything. Our room was upgraded which was the best room I’ve ever slept in. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anybody.

Very disappointed on the whole with this small adult hotel. On early arrival we had a swift check in followed by an invitation to have breakfast in the dining room as our room wouldn’t be ready until 2-3 pm. No information pack was handed out or was any verbal information given to us regarding the protocols of the hotel, ie A La Carte Aqua restaurant for all inclusive diners etc., meal times, information regarding facilities available in hotel - no nothing given. Nothing in room left either, no welcome letter or basic info regarding the hotel. I felt I was checking into a travel lodge rather than a holiday adults resort hotel. No towel art either! (Just kidding!)||We had booked a beach front room which was located in a dingy corridor block under the swimming pool. Room was very small with a huge bed dominating the small space. Curtains were stained and dirty. Sliding patio door lead onto a small cramped terrace which was over full with furniture. This lead onto a small garden area and then an opening through a hedge which led down to the beach. Overall impression of room was it was dark, cell like and smelt of drains at times. We had endless problems with power cuts in our room which they stated was caused by a faulty air con system. However the hotel, instead of solving the problem they would just reset the electric cutout which would inevitably trip again, sometimes within 30 mins! We had approximately 10-12 power cuts during our stay, one had happened when we arrived in the room! ||Room wasn’t cleaned to a very high standard and sheets and towels not changed regularly. We often had problems with coffee and milk not being replenished. All in all I felt that the room was small, dark and claustrophobic and certainly not value for money being the most expensive room type in the hotel! No robe or slippers provided, tatty towels given on occasions. Not what I would expect from a Radisson Blu hotel, regardless of what country it’s located in. I would add though, the staff that were sent to fix the problems were very pleasant, arrived quickly and did their best to help. ||Entertainment was dire. It consisted of the same acts every week which provided zero vibe and monotony especially the ‘DJ” who played 3 times a week and remained in the small hut which was located near to where the entertainment took place. He had just a single speaker ‘blasting’ out the music facing the audience. There was a wind tunnel effect by this outside sitting area which meant it was freezing to sit in during the chilly evenings that were occurring due to local breezy weather conditions. A patio heater would have been nice!||Staff were pleasant but some did not understand basic English very well. In the bar it would be a pick and mix as to what drink I would actually receive during all my time there. I gave up early on ordering cocktails as they didn’t seem to understand how to mix them correctly. ||Food choices were poor. I know we were in Mauritius but there were only about 8 main choices every night in the Nautilus restaurant, with additional side choices and 4/5 salad mixes. Basic cake type deserts available, nothing of any note.||Reception was tiny, with no real place to sit down except for an uncomfortable couch and a few worn out chairs. ||Hotel shop very small and uninspiring. Didn’t try spa so cannot comment. ||When we booked this holiday we had a free all inclusive upgrade which we do not feel would have been worth the money should we had had to pay for it. it is a very limited benefit with lots off add ons for premium brands in spirits and in the Al La carte restaurant leaving minimal choices for all-inclusive guests.||Mauritius as an island is lovely, multi cultural and fascinating and we are certainly not ruling out another visit in the future. The fact was this hotel was not for us as a longer term guest of 14 nights. It would be fine for people visiting for short breaks. We also wasn’t taken with this part of the island due to the choppy seas and strong winds and realise we should have stayed on a different coast where the weather was better. That was our learning curve and in our opinion the Caribbean does it so much better!

Very relaxing experience. The staff is amazing and makes your experience even better. The hotel's location is very good. Right at the beach, away from the cities. The food is good and staff provides very good hospitality. Mr. Timmy and Mr. Deepak were really good and took care of us. One amazing thing was, they have live music every evening which is very enjoyable.

The Hotel Staff is extremely nice and helpful!! Especially the young men Yadhav and budhu. Both men were in the staff and made sure that our room looked everyday like new!!||The Operation Manager was very helpful guiding us and the Kitchen and Reception Staff were incredible.|My girlfriend got sick during our stay and they had offered to cook different meals especially for her so she can recover faster absolutely amazing people!!!||The views are astonishing, if you walk from the resort beach further south you'll see some crazy rock formation by the underwater vulcano!||I am Emanuel from Room 4202 and definetly coming back in the future!
